ABOUT THE STUDIO THEATRE™ TIERRA DEL SOL: Tierra del Sol was formerly a Country Club with performances as a backdrop to the outstanding food and impeccable golf course views. It has since transitioned, bringing the performances to the forefront by evolving into a new Black Box Theatre. The Studio Theatre is now a flexible theatre with 120 seats and options for Thrust, Round, or Proscenium style seating. The Studio Theatre's season runs from late September through April each year with four productions running approximately 120 total performances. The Studio Theatre is an extension of The Sharon® L. Morse Performing Arts Center, located in The Spanish Springs Town Square®, in The Villages® community. The Sharon is primarily a touring house hosting a variety of artistic disciplines ranging from concerts and comedians to dance, musicals, and operas. The Sharon seats just over 1,000 guests in a multi-level theater offering state of the art audio, visual, and theatrical rigging systems to create an entertainment experience second to none. In here, life is beautiful. “Willkommen” to Kander and Ebb’s iconic musical Cabaret, which transports us to the seedy underbelly of 1931 Berlin and the dynamic, dark, and hedonistic Kit Kat Klub. As Germany slowly yields to the emerging Third Reich, the Klub’s entertainers and patrons must decide if they’ll wake up to the evil just outside the stage door or continue to escape to the alluring sexually liberated fantasy world of the Kit Kat Klub. Since its debut in 1967, this classic musical has won countless awards, including the Tony Awards for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Revival of a Musical. This hit-maker is full of vibrant and beloved songs like “Willkommen,” “Maybe This Time,” “Money,” “Don’t Tell Mama,” and, the titular “Cabaret.”

With a recent divorce and her son living across the country, 50-something Sharon posts a listing for a roommate to fill the empty space of her Iowa home. Enter Robyn also in her mid-fifties, a fascinating woman who needs a place to hide and the chance to start over. Sharon is Walmart and white bread, book clubs, and leaving your door unlocked. Robyn is black leather boots, a motorcycle jacket, and cigarettes she’s trying to quit. When Sharon begins to uncover Robyn’s secrets, they encourage her own deep-seated desire to abandon her comfort zone and live a life of danger and adventure. Come along for this wild ride of a comedy that can only be described as The Odd Couple meets Breaking Bad. The Roommate cleverly navigates the rocky roads of change and hilariously examines what happens when the wheels come off.

Kate has their BA in Theatre from Salisbury University with a minor in dance and ASL. Kate has also studied at the Steps On Broadway Conservatory program and the Independent study program at Steps On Broadway. @kate_carpenter13 JOSEPH CARRIER (Clifford Bradshaw) is an Orlando actor from Marine City, MI. Some favorite previous roles include Oscar in Sweet Charity with Osceola Arts, and Glen Berger in The Spider Queen with Orlando Artist Guild where he made his New York City debut. He played Max/Rudy in Cabaret at Thumbcoast Theatres in Michigan 10 years ago, alongside his late brother Caleb. He is overjoyed to revisit such a meaningful show and take on a dream role. Joseph has performed multiple roles at both Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort in the past 7 years. A New York City based actor, Logan received his BFA in musical theatre from Western Connecticut State University. Earlier this year she appeared as Mama Murphy in Bright Star at Red Mountain Theatre in Birmingham, AL and last summer as Ethel in On Golden Pond, in Lincoln, NH. Some of her favorite roles include Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, Gladys in Memphis the Musical, and Aunt Eller in Oklahoma. ARIYA HAWKINS (Frenchie) is a Chicago-based actor, singer, and teaching artist. Recent regional credits include Haven (Outer Loop Theater Experience), a hit dog will holler (Artemisia Theatre), Shut Up Kiss Me (PrideArts), and The Bikinis, The Queen Bees, and Vanities: The Musical (Canterbury Summer Theatre). Touring credits include A Raisin in the Sun and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Olney Theatre Center, National Players). Hawkins is a graduate of Millikin University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. JAYLON JAZZ MCCRAVEN (they/them) (Bobby) is excited to be a part of such a beautiful company. Jaylon is a proud Memphis, TN native, but now currently resides in NYC. Jaylon has been blessed to receive training from the University of Memphis and The Performing Arts Project Intensive. Jaylon has also been a performer for Carnival Cruise Lines and has also been a part of musical productions such as Dreamgirls, Tuck Everlasting, Newsies, Aida and Shrek the Musical. ALEXANDER SOVRONSKY* (Max, Music Director, Violin, Viola, & Accordion) is thrilled to be returning to The Studio Theatre having previously created the music/sound for These Shining Lives, Unnecessary Farce, In The Next Room, The Cake, and Urinetown. He appeared on Broadway with Kevin Kline and Jennifer Garner in Cyrano de Bergerac, a production for which he also co-wrote and performed the live music. Other NYC shows include productions with Atlantic Theatre Co, Red Bull Theatre Co, TFANA, The Public Theater/NYSF, Classical Theatre of Harlem, and many others. TIM CASEY (Understudy for Herr Schultz) has directed and appeared in a diverse array of roles in numerous musicals and plays with companies in The Villages and South Jersey. BILLIE THATCHER (Understudy for Fräulein Schneider) is celebrating her 40th year in theatre. Although she began performing in grammar school talent shows, she didn't do her first community theatre production until age 32. Since then, she has acted in musical theatre in roles from chorus to leading lady. Some of her favorite leading roles are Mama Rose, Golde, Auntie Mame, Dolly Levi, Miss Hannigan, Pistache and Nellie Forbush to name a few. This is her first time with The Studio, and she is thrilled to be involved with Cabaret. Billie also performs in The Villages resident shows as well as her own one-woman show for area clubs and organizations. She is currently rehearsing to appear as Golde in Fiddler on the Roof with The Villages Musical Theatre at Savannah Center in March. MUSICIANS KRISTEN DUNCAN (Trumpet) is thrilled to return to The Studio Theatre! She’s an Orlando transplant, originally from Miami, FL. Favorite pit credits include La Cage Aux Folles (The Studio Theatre), Kiss of the Spiderwoman (Florida Theatrical Association), Spamalot (Encore Performing Arts), On Your Feet (Garden Theatre), If/Then, Andrew Lippa’s Wild Party (Theater West End), Into the Woods, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Titanic, Guys & Dolls (CFCArts), Hairspray (Encore), Legally Blonde (Theatre Winter Haven, Celebration Theatre Co.), regional productions of Little Shop of Horrors, West Side Story. Kristen holds a Bachelor of Arts in music performance from Rollins College. She also performs with the Bach Festival Society of Winter Park Orchestra, and CFCArts Symphony Orchestra. Love always to Solmarie. JILL MARRESE (Pianist, Rehearsal Pianist) is a proud Michigander, performing in The Villages since 2011. At The Studio Theatre, Jill played keyboard for La Cage aux Folles, Urinetown, 9 to 5, Assassins, and It Shoulda Been You. In Michigan, she sang many roles in community theater, professional opera chorus (also French coach), and big band. The Villages musical roles include: Marian (Music Man), Irene (Hello Dolly), Sarah (Guys and Dolls), Julie (Carousel), Lady of the Lake (Spamalot), and Philia in the upcoming A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Jill plays bassoon with The Villages Pops Orchestra, Concert Band, and Symphonic Winds. She entertains at local clubs with Rich Roeske in the duo Two Darn Hot. Jill works extensively with area school students and is a retired public school teacher of French and Musical Theater. JAN MISIKOFF (Clarinet) Jan received a Bachelor of Music Performance degree from the University of Georgia. She has played with the DeKalb Symphony Orchestra, Waltham Philharmonic Orchestra, Ocala Symphony Orchestra, Emory Wind Ensemble, Kingdom of the Sun Concert Band, Nature Coast Community Band, and various wind ensembles. Jan has also played as a musician with The Studio Theatre, The Ocala Civic Theatre, and DeKalb Community Theatre in many productions most recently including: La Cage aux Folles, Les Miserables, Mary Poppins, and My Fair Lady. Her career was in Information Technology, retiring to Ocala, FL from UPS Supply Chain Solutions, where she was an IT Solutions Manager. In addition to the musical opportunities, Jan enjoys playing and organizing golf activities.

BILL NEALE (Guitar, Banjo) got his start in the music business at the age of 18 when he became the guitarist for Motown’s, The Temptations. After traveling the world for five amazing years, he moved on to pursue his dream of becoming a studio musician in L.A. Over the years Bill has played on many TV shows, movie soundtracks and recordings. He has also been awarded both a gold and platinum record for his work. Bill and his wife, Mary Ann, have been residents of The Villages since 2015 and he continues to perform in shows at The Sharon, Savannah Center and The Studio Theatre. He had the privilege of being the guitarist for The Studio’s premiere show Next To Normal in 2016. Bill is also a Supervisor for The Villages Recreation and Parks department. SEAN POLLOCK (Rehearsal Pianist) is an accomplished collaborative pianist and vocal coach specializing in vocal literature, lyric diction, and choral conducting. He has accompanied and music directed numerous theater and opera productions throughout the southeast including favorites: Sugar, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, John and Jen (2001 Ostrander for Best Direction of a Musical), Children of Eden, Fame, Songs for a New World, Into the Woods, Idomeneo, Lucia di Lammermoor, The Last Five Years, and Annie. Sean is Director of Music and the Arts at New Covenant United Methodist Church in The Villages, FL where he accompanies the acclaimed community chorus, The Village Voices. He is thrilled to be back at the bench with The Studio Theatre for this production! RICH ROESKE (Percussion) is a retired Chiropractic Neurologist from Atlanta, GA where he and his wife, Dr. Gail Roeske, had their own clinic. As an infant he would beat on his mother’s pots and pans with wooden spoons, so it was inevitable that he began music lessons on the drums at age 8. Thus began a lifelong love affair with the drums. His other career as a musician has included such groups as The Atlanta Seventeen, Peachtree Jazz Band, Etowah Jazz Society, and The Seed and Feed Marching Abominable Band (where he appeared on “America’s Got Talent”). Rich and his wife reside in The Villages, FL, where he plays golf and performs with The Villages Concert Band, The Villages Swing Band, and The Studio Theatre. His musical duo with fellow Villages resident, Jill Marrese, “Two Darn Hot,” performs at numerous venues around The Villages, and wineries in Traverse City, MI, where he spends his summers.

JAZMINE WHIPPLE (Bass) has performed as a multiinstrumentalist for 14 years for over 100 different musical productions, playing all over the southeastern United States. She studied Music Theory with a focus on ethnomusicology and double bass performance at Stetson University. In addition to musicals, she has performed with Disney, Universal, and several professional Jazz Bands as well as being the double bassist and mallet percussionist for the Central Florida Jazz Percussion Ensemble. She has also had the pleasure of performing alongside various celebrities including Stephen Lang, Kenny Chesney, and Snoop Dogg. Presently, in addition to her orchestral career she has taken on the position of Resident Sound Designer and Production Assistant at the Ocala Civic Theatre in Ocala, FL. In her free time Jazmine enjoys studying old musical scores, linguistics, video games, clothing design, and time with her family, partners and her two children.

DIRECTION NATHANIEL NIEMI (Director) is currently the Education Associate for Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park. Previous directing credits at The Studio Theatre include: The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, La Cage Aux Folles, These Shining Lives, The Cake, Urinetown, Company, Neighbors: A Fair Trade Agreement, Assassins, 9-5, Ada and the Engine. Nathaniel holds a BA in Theatre from East Texas Baptist University and an MFA in Theatre for Young Audiences (Directing) from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. Nathaniel is the recipient of the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival's National Directing Award and is an associate member of the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society.

PRODUCTION TAYLOR ADKINS (Marketing Director) was born and raised in Florida, and has been with The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center and The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol since 2021. She oversees the internal marketing team for The Sharon and The Studio Theatre venues. She loves being a part of a theatre that pushes audiences to examine relevant issues through the performances produced at The Studio Theatre.

CLAYTON BECKER (Technical Director) is from the DFW area of Texas. Always wanting a career in theatre, he received his BA in Theatre from the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville, AR. After graduating, Clay worked as the Technical Director at Circa’ 21 Dinner Playhouse in Rock Island, IL before joining The Studio Theatre team in 2018. When not in the theatre, he is out hiking or biking the wonders of mother nature across the country. Clay was happily married to the LOVE OF HIS LIFE in September of 2022 and begins the wonderful next chapter with Leslie Munson. Clay invites everyone to see the brilliant work our team does at both The Sharon and The Studio venues! LESLIE BECKER (Production Manager) is happy to be at The Studio Theatre working alongside such a passionate and knowledgeable team of professionals. Originally from Illinois, she has worked in all areas of the theatre world from onstage to behind the scenes. A theatre kid for life, she is honored to be a part of The Studio’s mission to bring thought provoking works to The Villages.

STEPHANIE BEZIO (Dramaturgy, Swing Stage Manager) hails from Johnson City, TN, and has been with The Sharon L. Morse Performing Arts Center and The Studio Theatre since 2016. She started in The Sharon box office and explored different jobs in the theatre before joining the stage management team in 2018. Her favorite shows at The Studio include: Stop Kiss, Assassins, and Ada and the Engine. Stephanie has been involved in theatre both onstage and off since 2012. You can find her running around in the dark, backstage wings of the Studio with a headset, a cup of coffee, and a Kindle in her back pocket.

ROEL CAVAZOS (Sound Engineer, Audiovisual Technician Assistant) is originally from Raymondville, TX. He joined Significant Productions in the summer of 2023, after having been on tour with Jurassic World Live as an automation technician under Feld Entertainment. Before Feld Entertainment, he worked for Jurassic Quest National Tour for over 2 years. Since getting off the road, he has enjoyed learning new things everyday about his work here at The Studio Theatre and The Sharon. Him and his partner, Madi Carr, who is the Production Coordinator for The Sharon, have been welcomed with open arms into the SigPro family, and look forward to many more shows with them.

ANGEL CREEKS (Choreographer, Associate Artistic Director) is honored to join this wonderful company with over 30 years of experience as an actor, singer, dancer, teacher, choreographer, and director. A few credits include: Film and television (North Hollywood, Days of Our Lives, Living Single), Broadway (Fosse, Chicago the Musical), national tours and artists (Chicago the Musical, Starlight Express, Michael Jackson, Anne Reinking), regional and theme parks (Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular, Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser, Frozen-Live at the Hyperion, Romeo and Juliet, Hairspray, Godspell, Seussical). JOSHUA E. GALLAGHER (Set Designer, Props Design, Set Dressing) has been designing imaginary places in real spaces for the past decade. He began working with The Studio Theatre in 2021 creating an assortment of deserts for The Cake, and became a full-time member of the Significant Productions team shortly thereafter. He has also designed scenery for Garden Theatre, Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble, University of Cincinnati, Villanova University, Millbrook Playhouse, and Kalamazoo Civic Theatre, among others. JORDAN GREGSON (Literary and Casting Associate) grew up within the theatre scene in Jacksonville, FL. He has spent the past five years working in a variety of artistic positions within nonprofit art organizations such as The Performing Arts Project, Apex Theatre Studio, The Acting Living Learning Community, and multiple others. His time spent within these various positions has made him an exciting theatre-maker and skilled artistic collaborator. Jordan is a proud alum of Douglas Anderson School of the Arts and of Texas State University where he received his BFA in Theatre. Currently, Jordan is continuing his work within nonprofit art organizations and is thrilled to be working at The Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol whose mission parallels his own. KIMBER KING (Sound Designer, Sound Engineer, Audiovisual Supervisor) recently earned her MFA in acting from UCF, but her roots are in production. She comes from a long line of musicians. Sound was a natural obsession for her from an early age. She studied audio at Grand Valley State University in Michigan. After graduation she engineered for ProAudio in Grand Rapids, MI working for national artists like Heart, Gladys Knight, Bonnie Raitt, Eddie Money, and James Brown. She was a company member and resident sound engineer/designer for The Playhouse at White Lake for nearly 14 years. Whether acting, directing, educating, or producing, Kimber loves all things storytelling. She is fascinated by sound and seizes every opportunity to create a new scape or to learn a new skill. MARK KIRSCHENBAUM (Assistant House Manager) has been involved in the theatre business for over 30 years. He has worked as an actor, director, production manager, company manager and theatre teacher throughout the state of Florida. Most recently he has been seen on stage as Dindon in La Cage Aux Folles and Cladwell in Urinetown at the Studio Theatre Tierra del Sol, Michael in Elegies at The Sharon Performing Arts Center and as Seymour in Little Shop of Horrors at the Savannah Center. Mark is thrilled to be working with this amazing team and looks forward to creating magnificent pieces of performing arts with Significant Productions. RYAN LOECKEL (Music Supervisor, Company Manager, Videographer) is an active musician, actor, vocalist, and collaborative arts producer. Trained as a classical musician at the Ohio State University, he is a descendant of the Max Aronoff line of violists through studies with Marcia Ferritto, and studied chamber music with the Cavani String Quartet. Ryan has played in Principal positions under numerous notable conductors and composers in addition to sharing the stage with various artists including Josh Groban, Idina Menzel, Anne Murray, Ben E. King, Barry Manilow, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. His performances and musical arrangements have been heard on syndicated national broadcasts, aboard five-star ships, and at venues internationally. Ryan is also Artistic Director of an annual summer concert series in conjunction with the Wicker Park Advisory Council and the Chicago Park District. @loeckelmusik

ALISON MADISON (Duchess of Carpentry) is the Lead Carpenter for Significant Productions since 2021, helping the creations come to life. Before this Alison worked at UFPA for five seasons. She interned at Shakespeare and Company for carpentry. Alison graduated with her BA in technical theater from UNLV.

JESS MAHONEY (Deck Stage Manager) was born and raised in New York and is excited to be in Florida joining the stage management team this season! Jess has lived and worked in Ohio, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Kentucky and California. Her favorite past credits include productions of The 39 Steps, Noises Off, Butterflies are Free, and Spring Awakening. She earned her BFA in Theatrical Production and Design with a concentration in Stage Management and Lighting Design from the State University of New York at Fredonia. VERNA MCINTYRE (Scenic Carpenter) was born and raised here in sunny central Florida and is excited at the opportunity to present important and culturally relevant theater to her home community. She's been with The Studio Theatre since 2023 but has been a lover of the performing arts as long as she can remember, and is happy to be able to express that love in the workshop!

JESSICA NIX (Marketing Assistant) Originally from Illinois with a background in film and photography, she has a passion for telling stories through visual art. She loves being able to use this passion from a marketing perspective. When she isn’t in the office, she enjoys singing and playing her electric ukulele at local establishments. As a performer, she cannot imagine a better way to support other artists than to help put an audience in front of their work.

NICHOLE POLLACK (Assistant House Manager) has always dreamed of working within the theatre. A graduate of California State University, Long Beach, Nichole earned her BA in Technical Theatre, focusing on Stage Management, Costume Design, and Light Programming. She is thrilled to be newly part of the Front of House team at The Sharon and The Studio Theatre and continues to volunteer for Encore! Performing Arts in Orlando. Nichole has worked as a Stage Manager on shows such as Eurydice and Spamalot!, and a costume designer for Love Drunk and Midnight. While most of her work is backstage, she has performed too, including roles in Newsies and Stuart Little. Nichole looks forward to this next step in her career, sharing her passion for the performing arts. DIO RAQUEL JR. (Associate Lighting Supervisor) hails from Honolulu, HI then relocated to Las Vegas, NV. He received his training from Del Sol Academy of the Performing Arts (Las Vegas, NV) and his B.F.A. in Theatre Studies, emphasizing in Lighting and Arts Leadership from Nebraska Wesleyan University (Lincoln, NE).

ALEC SPEERS (House Manager) has a long history of working with theatre productions. After over a decade of working on and around the stage, he feels most at home in the theatre and is very proud to be The Studio Theatre’s House Manager. Favorite credits include Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blog (Colorado, 2012), La Traviata and La Boheme (Germany, 2017), and Ada and the Engine (The Studio Theatre, 2021). Alec also has experience in set building, stage managing, and directing. It is always a privilege to work in the industry that you love, so Alec would like to thank The Studio family, and his own immensely supportive family for everything they do.

MADISON YOUNGBLOOD (Production Stage Manager) was born and raised in the Central Florida area and has been a member of the resident stage management team at The Studio Theatre since season 6. With nearly a decade of stage management experience, Madison has lived and worked in Central Florida, Philadelphia, and New York. Some of her favorite credits include productions of Urinetown, The Color Purple, Guys & Dolls, Cabaret, RED, Collected Stories, Godspell, Mary Poppins, and Blood Brothers. Madison has worked as an intern with WICKED on Broadway and has stage managed for the Arts for Autism Broadway Concerts and the Broadway Green Alliance. She graduated from the University of the Arts with a BFA in Directing, Playwriting, and Production. ERIC ZIVOT (Dialect Coach) is currently a Professor of Performance at Rollins College and has been named a Master Trainer by the Voice and Speech Trainers Association. His Voice experience runs the gamut from Voice-Overs, Looping and ADR direction to dialect and text coaching for such theaters as the Stratford Festival of Canada, The Alliance, The Fountain Theater, San Jose Rep and the American Conservatory Theater. At ACT he was the director of Voice and Speech training while coaching numerous productions. His local coaching includes shows for Orlando Shakes, Mad Cow, The Florida Studio Theatre, Playwrights Round Table, The Orlando Fringe and now The Studio Theatre! His recent dialect coaching includes productions of Cat on a Hot Time Roof, My Lord What a Night, Lost in Yonkers, Sweet Charity, and the up-coming production of 39 Steps. He is the recipient of two Orlando "10 Best Awards, a Governor General Award for his work in Canada and an Emmy award for his work on the TV show JAG.
