TheErieCommunityFoundation E-Newsletter
Vol 01 February 13, 2025

A NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT
Greetings from The Erie Community Foundation (ECF),
As we launch the new year, we are introducing this bimonthly newsletter Our goal is to connect you with the things that are happening in our community thanks to your generosity, the efforts of our nonprofit community and the power of collective giving This year marks an incredible milestone for ECF –it is 90 years since we were established as the Erie Endowment Elisha Mack envisioned a charitable endowment that would support the community in perpetuity, and that others would follow his example and contribute to this fund
Thanks to the efforts of countless generous donors, the endowment grew, and The Erie Community Foundation was established Decades later, the Foundation continues to evolve to meet our community’s changing needs
We have much to celebrate, past and present For 90 years, thanks to the support of hundreds of individuals, families and corporations, ECF has contributed to regional growth and vitality As you read about the ways in which we connect generosity and impact, we hope you feel inspired, engaged, and empowered to join our community philanthropy efforts
