Talaska, is currently assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company of the 101st Military Intelligence Battalion (CEWI), 1st Infantry Division at Ft. Riley, Kansas. Recently, Eric deployed with "The Big Red One" to Germany for the Return of Forces to Germany Exercise (REFORGER '88).

I want to take this opportunity to tell you that Eric admirably performed his duties as a radio teletype operator. He worked many long hours in support of the Division's intelligence gathering effort. With his help, the unit kept the Battalion operational so we could perform this vital service to the Division. We made several moves, many at night, and it would not have been possible without the diligence of your son. You can be very proud of his efforts. I am honored to serve our nation as Eric's Officer in this vital support effort.
