The new generation robot assists physicians with minimally-invasive surgeries for patients with gynecological, urological, and other conditions. The system allows

physicians to “extend” their eyes and hands and to gain better views of various parts of the body.

The system translates the surgeon’s hand movements into precise movements of small surgical instruments inside the patient.

The technique, in which specially-trained physicians guide precision robotic instruments, uses smaller incisions than traditional surgery. In some cases, this means that patients may have a shorter hospital stay and a faster recovery time.
