11 Let’s celebrate good times! Covid-19 had a massive impact on the events calendar last year, with some of the biggest crowd-pullers falling victim to the pandemic.

But the disapointment changed to celebrations this year when popular events that light up our borough returned to a rapturous welcome.

From family-themed activities at our award winning Erewash Museum through to the return of the historic Ilkeston Charter Fair and the Bonfire and Firework spectacular – it was good to see the smiles and good times back in the borough.

Seeing the events again has been a reward for all the hard work put in by the council’s teams and partners to ensure they could be staged in the safest way possible. 1.
