Celebrating the Present and Shaping the Future Dear Readers,
L
ife has taught me that the future can be better than the present, and I have the power to make it so. So, when my expectations are not only met but clearly exceeded, the experience is all the more remarkable and valuable.
This great tradition also represents an obligation for the future – fully in line with our vision “Creating a Healthier and Happier World.”
And that’s just what happened on many occasions during Transasia’s 40th anniversary year. I know from the many positives and in some cases highly enthusiastic reactions – both from our employees and from our numerous patrons – that I was not alone in this experience.
This newsletter recalls the highlights of the anniversary celebrations. It looks back on the many emotional and spectacular moments we enjoyed and is intended to inspire you, the readers, to continue devoting your energy, passion and creativity to our company. After all, these are the qualities that have made us so successful for 40 years. And I firmly believe they will continue to do so in the future.
The Anniversary Tour across the length and breadth of India, launch of Erba Hemat series, the anniversary party, lifetime contribution awards, or the volunteering projects: all of these left an impression on people.
My special thanks go to all those colleagues around the world who have helped to make this anniversary year an unforgettable experience for everyone. We will continue to be innovative and take the organization to further heights.
Our anniversary celebrations also underscored the fact that Transasia is the leader in Indian IVD, with products that have become indispensable in everyday life. Time and again over the past 40 years, Transasia’s products and solutions have helped improve people’s quality of life.

Best Brand 2019 awarded by The Economic Times Transasia was also adjudged the prestigious ‘Best Brand 2019’ award by The Economic Times. Organized by the world’s second most widely read business newspaper; the award is a recognition of the top 25 brands in the country from across different verticals, and Transasia was the only In-vitro Diagnostic Company in the healthcare segment to have won the award. This was a result of an extensive survey which was conducted by The Economic Times and their knowledge partner Nielsen, across 15 industries in 12 tier I and tier II cities, spanning a sample size of 7500+ to identify the top brands.

he grand celebrations were held in 40 cities across the country extending over a period of two months. The new Hemat range was officially launched at Taj Bengal, Kolkata on March 16, 2019 and was later showcased at all the dazzling celebrations across the Metros as well as the 40 cities across the country. Simultaneously, Press Conferences were held in 8 leading Metros and press releases were disseminated to the media which garnered an impressive coverage of over 400 articles in the leading dailies, regional publications, onlines and on national television too. At the launch, Mr. Suresh Vazirani and Mrs. Mala Vazirani addressed the audience and shared Transasia’s journey over the past 4 decades, acknowledging the role the customers played and their valuable contribution towards making it the No. 1 IVD company in India. Transasia leveraged this forum to honor and acknowledge the relentless efforts of some our trusted partners and industry stalwarts in all the 40 cities, who have played a crucial role in aiding early treatment of countless patients. They were felicitated with a Pashmina shawl and a plaque for their lifetime contribution to lab medicine. Erba’s global managers presented a short film highlighting the features of the new product range to Transasia’s customers. A Corporate Film highlighting Transasia’s comprehensive portfolio of a wide range of reliable, affordable and innovative quality products was showcased to the customers at all the events. The goodwill shared by our loyal customers across India was captured in the form of short snippets and the video was relayed to the audience at all the events. Over 5000 trusted and loyal customers attended the gala events across the country making it a mega success... an event that will go down the memory lane.

On the occasion of our 40th Anniversary celebrations, Transasia offered a 40% discount on the newly launched Hemat products. This limited period offer consisted of an exciting combo of Hematology and Biochemistry products at a special price and an added bonus of a Lifetime Warranty. To set the ball in motion, a 360° roadmap was drawn up to target existing as well as potential and prospective customers. Simultaneously digital media campaigns were blended in, to reach the target audience and generate leads. Direct mailers, WhatsApp messages and SMSs were designed, implemented and

disseminated announcing and promoting the offer, aggressively. Complementing the digital media, Transasia’s microsite and Facebook page were launched. Our enthusiastic Sales team promoted the offer with much gusto. To motivate the Sales team and in keeping with the current World Cup fever that has gripped the world, the campaign was designed around the Cricket theme. Just like the players in a cricket match, Team Transasia was encouraged to score the highest runs in their respective zones to catapult them into the coveted league.

generation range of Hematology analyzers in India, arose the humongous task of training and equipping Transasia’s all-pervading force of engineers and application staff. To meet the need, rigorous hands on trainings were held at various zones across India.
16 zonal experts underwent an exhaustive 2-day EZ1 undergoing a training in Kolkata training program at Transasia H o u s e , Mumbai. T h e s e experts then doubled - up as co-trainers for the zonal training programs. The first SZ1 & SZ5 at a training in Chennai zonal training s e s s i o n was held in Mumbai for WZ1 engineers and application team of the West Division. Post this training, a series of trainings were conducted at the zonal level, beginning with Delhi followed by Chennai. Likewise, the technical and the application teams of all the zones underwent meticulous training in their respective divisions, thus equipping and gearing them to extend seamless service to customers, something Transasia is renowned for. As the financial year drew to a close, it was time for the Sales teams to come together to review the results of the year gone by and set targets for the new year. Being the 40th anniversary, the divisional meets were held on a grander scale, beginning with Bangalore, New Delhi, Kolkata and ending with Mumbai.

The two-day interactive meet began with Mr. Suresh Vazirani addressing the Sales force on the company’s journey this far and on its 40th Year of Excellence. This was followed by Mrs. Mala Vazirani’s perspective on the Winning Way…forward. The zonal and regional teams were privy to the launch of the Hemat products. They were taken through a short film highlighting the features and underwent a brief training to get familiar with the products and its operation.
The Sales meet ended with a celebratory party, at Transasia House. Achievements were celebrated and awards presented. The East Division swept away the Best Division award and SZ 4 was awarded the Best Zone, both for their outstanding performances.

The reagent filling production line in Baddi is now fully operational! This makes Transasia the first and only Indian IVD company to have a fully automated production line made of 316L stainless steel and meets GMP requirements. Specially designed for Erba range of Hematology Diagnostic Reagents, the system is free of manual intervention, which ensures that reagents are consistently produced and are devoid of contamination.

Erba Mannheim’s success at AAMLS The 6th Congress of the Asia Association of Medical Laboratory Sciences (AAMLS) & 43rd Annual Conference of Medical Technologist of Thailand (43rd ACMTT) was recently held at the Ambassador City Jomtien, Pattaya, Thailand. The theme of this congress was “Breakthrough in Medical Technology“. It was hosted by the Association of Medical Technology of Thailand (AMTT) and attended by over 3,000 delegates and speakers from various Asian countries.

With a 10-year presence in South East Asia, Erba’s brand image at the event was reinforced with a 1000 sq ft booth, displaying the new product launches - Laura XL, H560/H360 and ECL760. A long queue of visitors to the booth were treated to product demonstrations. A ‘Spin the Wheel’ game was held on the stand, the aim being to be remembered as a global player in IVD that offers “Total Solutions for Clinical Diagnostics”.

Towards an Anemia-free India
SAVIOUR App On the occasion of World Blood Donors Day, Transasia unveiled ‘SAVIOUR’, a location based, blood donation app. It is the first in India and will be available on both Google Play and App Store. The app will empower those who have the resources to acquire blood but lose out on timely help due to inadequate blood bank infrastructure.
For adolescent girls living in the hinterlands of Hisar, anemia and lack of nutrition are a common struggle. But thanks to Mission Pink Health, an initiative of Indian Medical Association, their nutritional outcomes can now be improved. The students were counselled about Anaemia, menstrual hygiene, good & bad touch, dental hygiene and also underwent regular tests. Transasia is actively contributing to this cause through its top-of-theline Hematology products for conducting routine blood tests.
It will connect patients to the nearest donors, and notify the patient in real-time on the number of donors who have accepted the request. It will also send out notifications and reminders to the registered donors based on their blood type. All the donors will have to do, is check-in at the nearest hospital through the app, which will help save time and ensure credibility. Donors on the other hand will be rewarded, based on the number of donations and lives saved.
For a better future From storytelling to drawing classes to sessions on self exploration, the children of Mohilli Village BMC School, Mumbai participated in a volley of fun, games and activities making their summer vacation interesting and educative too. With such creative engagement, Transasia endeavours to uplift the under privileged children and provide an all inclusive education for a better future.

‘NAYAAB LAMHE’ in aid of thalassemic children
Once again Transasia joined hands with Parent Association Thalassemic Unit Trust (PATUT), for ‘Nayaab Lamhe’, a musical concert by the acclaimed Padmashree Pankaj Udhas for the welfare of the thalassemic children. Held at Nehru Centre, Mumbai, the maestro set the perfect mood with his soulful and timeless renditions, enthralling the audience and transcending them into a world of shayaris and ghazals, making it an evening to remember. Transasia and PATUT share a symbotic partnership which extend over a decade. As the President of PATUT, Mr. Udhas has been actively involved with the cause of thalassemia for over three decades. Nayaab Lamhe, the musical concert was well patronized and had a packed audience of more than 400 pathologists in attendance.
