How do we know when? Your closing date should be negotiated in your contract. Your ERA Davis & Linn Professional will work with the other party’s agent and the Title/ Closing/Attorney to make the appointment for closing.

Your Home

Prior to the closing day, there are steps that must be completed, and your ERA Davis & Linn Professional will walk alongside you to help the process go smoothly. Tasks to be completed:

▶ Title Search – Ordered by the Title/ Closing/Attorney’s Office

▶ Final Walk Through – A visit to the home a minimum of two days prior to closing to make sure that everything is as it was at contract time

▶ Review of the Settlement Statement/ Closing Disclosure

What to expect on

Closing Day

On the day of closing, you will meet at the Title/Closing/Attorney’s Office. The Closing Agent will review all of your loan and purchase paperwork and have you sign the documents needed to finalize your ownership. Your ERA Davis & Linn Professional will be there to answer questions and make sure everything goes smoothly. A Settlement Statement/Closing Disclosure will be provided, detailing all of the expenses and any fees you will be paying and any fees that the seller will be paying. These can include the items listed below and more:
