Artist Born in Newcastle NSW, I have drawn horses since the age of three. Art was a main subject at High School and my dream was to be an Equine Artist one day. I combined both my passions of horses and art for many years, juggling between competing, breeding and riding my own horses and exhibiting my work. I love using pastels and oils, followed by acrylics, pencil, mixed media and I also paint on stones. Favourite subjects are Friesian Horses, Gypsy Cobs, Paints and Unicorns. I have won numerous awards, and had several solo exhibitions, and competed in over 100 group showings. Much of my work has sold overseas. I'm looking forward to my first duo exhibition "FOR THE LOVE OF FRIESIAN HORSES" (June 2022) with Photographic artist Trudi Simmonds. It should be something quite special.

Photographic Artist l started taking photos many years ago but always saw much more in each photograph than what was actually there. This eventually led me to exploring with Photoshop and digital paint programs around 15 years ago. What starts out as my base photo ends up being blended with sometimes up to 30 or more other photos depending on the idea. Once l have my design then l digitally paint the image to finish the piece. An example of my work is ‘RAVEN’ featured on the front Cover of this issue. My primary focus is on the heavy and carriage horse breeds.
