The 27th Ever Creston Classic Rodeo is just around the corner! This year’s rodeo will be held September 14-17, 2023 at the rodeo grounds in historic downtown Creston. The rodeo weekend kicks off on Thursday evening, September 14th at 5:30pm with the always exciting Jackpot Barrel Racing. On Friday evening, September 15th there is Team Roping and Ladies Breakaway, also beginning at 5:30pm. The actual rodeo performance begins on Saturday, September 16th with the Grand Entry at 4:30pm, followed by the fast and furious Hide Race, and events such as Kid’s Dummy Roping, Men’s Double Mugging, Sort and Brand, Ladies Ribbon Dogging, and Team Sorting. On Sunday, September 17th, the day begins with Cowboy Church at 8:30am, held in the rodeo grounds grandstand, followed by the extremely popular Mutton Bustin at 10am! Come watch 40+ kids try their hand at riding sheep in hopes of qualifying for the finals held during the afternoon performance, beginning at 12:30pm. You won’t go hungry as there will be food vendors selling everything from Tri Tip sandwiches to Mexican Food and Snowcones! Also present are numerous vendors selling their crafts and a kids area featuring a bounce house. Admittance to the rodeo is only $10.00 for adults and kids over 12. Active members of the armed services and kids under 12 get in free! The Creston Classic Rodeo is GREAT fun for the entire family. We look forward to seeing you at this year’s 27Th Ever Creston Classic Rodeo.

On another note, the Creston Classic Rodeo is a 501(c) (3) organization. Our sole purpose is to fund the charitable needs of the community of Creston. Without our dedicated rodeo sponsors, whom receive banner space in the arena, VIP passes, and extensive social media coverage on our website and Facebook page for their sponsorship, the rodeo would not continue! If you are interested in partnering up with the rodeo and becoming a sponsor please go to www.crestonclassicrodeo.org where you will find this year’s Sponsorship Form. If you are interested in being a Vendor at this year’s rodeo, the 2023 Vendor Application can be found on the website as well. Any questions regarding the rodeo can be directed to Mike Romelfanger at jnucko@gmail.com.
