Dumont is a bright bay stallion with lots of chrome that he reliably passes to his offspring. He is by the proven dressage sire Diamont, who was ranked first in 1994, 1996 and 1997, as the leading producer of USDF Horse of the Year qualifiers. Dumont won the yearling classes at Osierlea and the West Coast Classic, where he was named Champion Junior Stallion. He repeated these wins as a 2 and 3-year-old, earning the title Champion Stallion at the West Coast Sporthorse Classic. In 1998, as a 4-year-old, Dumont won the Mature Horse Championship at the WCSC and the Northern California USDF Mature Horse Championship. Dumont’s full sister, Donna Marie, won consistently in Intermediate Level dressage classes in Germany, with scores in the high 70s and 80s. She was reserve champion at the 2003 Intermediate Championships in Hanover. His full sister Duette is an AHS Elite Mare, qualifying through scores in dressage. Dumont began his dressage show career in the summer of 2002, with scores in the upper 60s and 70s, winning several of his classes. Dumont’s son, Diplomat M, has shown successfully through Fourth Level, with numerous scores in the 70s and placings in the Regional Championships, including an invitation to compete at the USDF National Championships. Another son of Dumont’s, Diez, has shown through Second Level, winning many classes with scores in the 70s and earning many high-score ribbons. Dumont’s daughter EM Denara, was successfully shown in dressage in 2005 and 2006, and earned the title of Elite Mare in 2008. In 2006, she completed her Mare Performance Test for AHS and was the reserve champion mare, with the highest score for rideability and the second-highest score for jumping. Prior to being retired in late 2005, Dumont was shown briefly in the hunter ring, pinning in several classes and showing beautiful classic hunter form over fences. He is easy to ride and has a wonderful, kind temperament that he passes to his offspring.
