Conteros is sired by the legendary Holsteiner stallion Contender (Stamm 2472) out of Rawiena by Raphael (royally-bred foundation sire of 22 licensed sons). Contender is the sire of 127 approved sons and 40 Premium mares with offspring like Montender, Checkmate 4, Carlo 273 and Chiara 222. Conteros himself has an extensive international record at 1.60m with top rider Toni Hassmann (GER) which include many world placings in Aachen, Germany. Upon import, Conteros was able to change hats with his amateur owner to the hunter ring with notable first-place finishes in international hunter derbies (U.S.). Among his small collection of offspring, the solid grouping includes an internationally-licensed and approved son showing and placing in CSIO5* & CSI4*, with other talented offspring in CSIO5* and CSI2*. Conteros’ versatile pedigree makes him an ideal candidate for North American breeders - jumping and dressage alike. His uphill, balanced and floating canter makes any discipline a breeze for this stallion and his offspring. His beautiful head, neck and topline is that of his sire, Contender. Conteros exhibits correctness and has substance of bone. Conteros’ jumping style has the scope for the top of the sport, yet form for the hunter ring. Other inheritable traits are his exceptional temperament and work ethic. He stamps his offspring with leg length, scope and natural balance. Conteros is a beautiful example of a versatile stallion. Copernicus WF is a stunning, modern stallion of brilliant chestnut red with long legs and a short, coupled back. He demonstrates a consistently superior work ethic and a great temperament both at home and at the show. He carries enough blood and scope for the jumper ring while his canter will easily cross over to the hunter ring in the future. Copernicus WF continued his show career in 2022 as a 6-year-old, competing successfully up to 1.25m. He will continue to be developed to his full potential in sport as a jumper with plans to cross over to the hunter derby ring in 2023. We expect great things from this young stallion in both the hunter and jumper rings. Copernicus WF demonstrates excellent jump technique and scope. His incredible hind end is passed down from his maternal line. He is a member of the AHS Jumper Breeding Program and claimed the Champion Jumper Stallion title at the 2022 North American Stallion Sport Test with a final score of 8.65. He received top scores of 9.0 for scope, 8.5 for canter, 8.5 for style, 8.5 for rideability and 8.5 for overall impression. He now holds lifetime approvals with Hanoverian, GOV, Rhineland and Westfalen NA. His sire, Clinton I (Carolus I), jumped at 1.60m and was twice the winner of the Swedish Derby, fourth in the Grand Prix of Aachen and winner of the Nations Cup. Dam, E.M Flower Song, also a member of the AHS Jumper Breeding Program, produced many quality horses, including Quintessential WF, who is currently competing successfully in the national 1.40m Grand Prix level and has recently stepped up to 1.45m/2* level.
