All Important Things Avid Anglers Require Knowing While on a Duck Hunting Expedition in Port O’ Connor

Port O’ Connor is considered to be one of the most important duck wintering areas in Texas. Over 80% of the continental populace of redheads winters there together with huge amount of gadwalls, shovelers, pintails, wigeon, teal and the mottled ducks. Nearly all of the duck hunting in Port O’ Connor is focused in the marshes and confined bays next to the Texas Gulf coast and support amazing duck populations. Redheads get fascinated to this area for its confined waters and plenteous food supplies. They feed mainly on the shoal grass which is a submerged aquatic plant that is speckled all through the shallow bays and estuaries. Puddle ducks, Pintails and wigeon ducks often eat in rice fields and the freshwater marshes inland, coming back to the coastal areas for roosting.
