A Range Supervisor must be present in the range. Ear and eye protection is required and will be provided, if needed (1st come, 1st serve) No one under 11 years of age is permitted in the Archery Range without proper parent or adult supervision. Anyone 15 years or younger must be accompanied and supervised in the Firearms Range by a responsible parent or adult. Anyone 16 to 18 years of age, not accompanied by a parent or adult in the Firearms Range, must complete a Hunter Safety course and present a card, if requested. All firearms must be unloaded. All firearms and ammunition must be in a carrying case or bag when entering or leaving the recreation center. Holsters are not considered a carrying case. No firearms or ammunition shall be left unattended or stored in the lobby, gym, locker room or any other area of the recreation center. All firearms, ammunition, bows, and arrows must be stored outside the recreation center before and after using the shooting range. The Evanston Recreation Center is not responsible for lost or stolen firearms, ammunition, carrying cases, bows, arrows, or any archery or firearms equipment.

BRORA is a non profit organization whose purpose is to assist and cooperate with Local, State, and Federal Governments in promoting, developing, and maintaining outdoor recreation within the City of Evanston, Uinta County, and the North Slope of the Wasatch-Cache National Forest including Nordic skiing, mountain biking, hiking, river and equestrian use of these areas. Yurt reservation fees and membership fees are used to provide XC ski trail grooming and track setting, purchasing, maintaining, and supplying the yurts, Learn to Ski Scholarships, avalanche awareness and education, and a member BRORAnewsletter.Membership $20 A BRORA membership is required to make yurt reservations. Ski, snowshoe, or snowmobile the back country and stay overnight in one of our yurts. Facilities can accommodate groups of 8 or less. The Evanston Recreation Center accepts reservations for the Bear Claw, Lily Lake, Ridge, East Fork Yurts, Beulah Vista, and Boundary Creek Yurt. Reservations can be made Mon through Fri, 8:00 am till 5:00 pm, by phone or in person. Some restrictions apply. For yurt reservation information call (307) 789-1770. BEAR RIVER GREENWAY Walk, jog, and bike the Greenway main trail from Bear River Drive to Bear River State Park. The main trail follows the Bear River White Water Park and links Evanston’s Historic Downtown with the Ice Ponds, Nature Trails, Rotary Health Trail Fitness Course, “BEAR Tales” Fire Circle, and live Elk and Buffalo exhibits at Bear River State Park east of Evanston.

The BEAR Community Center is available for non profit community, group and family Theevents.BEAR Center over looks the Ice Ponds and offers a rustic interior with a pine slab counter, river rock fireplace, serving and warming kitchen, multi purpose room that seats up to 80, private restrooms, picnic pavilion and outdoor BBQ grill. A rental fee and deposit are required. Reservations are taken up to one year in advance. For reservation fees and information call the Evanston Recreation Center (307) 789-1770.

TREE GROVE Ceremony Sept 10 @ 10:00 am their name on a stone marker in the BEAR Parkway Memorial Tree Grove. BEAR MEADOWS With approximately 6 acres of open space, this area was created as a central park to meet the needs of various community groups. The area is open for public free play, sporting activities. Please call the Evanston Recreation Center to reserve for any event.
