Old Jubilee Guides

Many of you will remember the Queen’s Silver Jubilee in 1977 and some of you may have lived in Epping at that time. A few of you may even remember this celebration on 6th May 1935. It is interesting to see how times and fashions have moved on. What is also interesting to see is how later generations still enjoy coming together to celebrate the achievements of The Queen, which grow ever longer as the years pass. We hope that the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in Epping will involve as many of our community as possible and give us some memories and information to put in publications in the future. After the Platinum Jubilee, please share the stories and pictures of your Jubilee celebrations so we can share them in our next edition of Talk About Epping for future generations to look back on.
