Heather Haffey began her dance training at the age of 3 at Orlandi Dance Center in Philadelphia, and continued for 14 years under the instruction of Diana Baldini, Carole Orlandi-Barr, and Wayne St. David. In addition, she received training at the University of the Arts under the instruction of Andrew Pap, LaVaugne Robinson, Faye Snow, and Wayne St. David. In 2001 Heather joined Tap Team Two and Co. based in Philadelphia. She performed with the Baltimore Bayhawks Dance Team for the 2004 season and movement/addiction dance company in 2005. She has taught numerous master classes and has been a guest artist in many performance venues. Heather received her BFA in Dance Performance and Education from Towson University, which included 4 years of intensive technical, educational and performance-based training. In 2006 she was a nominee for the First Year Educator Award. She was a guest artist at the 2008 National High School Dance Festival. She completed her Masters degree in Secondary Education from Towson University in 2014. She was the Atholton dance director from 2005-2023 and an HCC adjunct dance faculty member from 2016-2018.. She was most recently nominated for the Washington Post Teacher of the Year and was selected as the 2018 Senior Class Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Haffey is beyond excited to be a part of the Guilford Park community this year.
