As Mayor of Bridgend Town Council I welcome you all to the Classic Car Show. Bridgend Town Council is delighted to continue to support this event and promote high quality events for the local community.
This will be the third year that Bridgend Town Council has funded the Classic Car Show, I very much look forward to judging today’s entries, speaking to the car owners, and seeing families enjoying the day.

Bridgend Town Council has already put on two fantastic events this year with the Welsh Guards’ St David’s Day Parade and Armed Forces Day a couple of weeks ago. I am really looking forward to celebrating the 600th anniversary of the Old Stone Bridge on 13th September and I’m pleased to announce our popular Christmas Lights Switch On event on Saturday 29th November. I also hope you will join us for our annual Remembrance weekend parades and services which will take place on Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th November 2025.
I hope you all enjoy today and I look forward to welcoming you to future Bridgend Town Council events during my term as Mayor.
Cllr. Ian Spiller Mayor of Bridgend
Town 2025/26
