Introduction This year’s line up for Brecon Jazz Festival Weekend is the culmination of the varied festival’s stakeholders commitment to bringing a diverse and unique offer of musicians and artists to Brecon, to deliver a collection of performances both inside the many venues of Brecon and on the streets of the town. Regular acts as well as exciting new artists and student groups all connected around special custom -made programming. This all creates a unique musical experience and an atmosphere that cannot be beaten.

Ella and Louise Music Show Sunday 14th August Brecon Catherdral 8pm The show is based around the song duets Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong recorded on 3 Albums with the Oscar Peterson Quartet in the late 1950's, along with a vast repertoire of solo songs they both recorded and performed. Sarah Meek brings a new youthful energy to jazz with her powerful and versatile delivery coupled with anengaging stage presence and wide musical knowledge that has found her Welsh, UK and international audiences. Jazz Singer Sarah hails from Cheshire and is now based in Cardiff after studiyng at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. One of Wales' most experienced and versatile professional musicians, the show combines many talents of Dave Cottle playing Trumpet and Piano (yes, at the same time) and singing! A knockout show for Jazz enthusiasts and lovers of the great swing songs of the American songbook.

Brecon Fringe BRECON FRINGE 2022: FOUR DAYS OF FUN FOR EVERYONE To paraphrase Suzanne Vega: You’ll find me on the fringes, left of centre, in the outskirts, off of the strip. And you don’t get much further off the strip than this. This is Brecon. Although in the case of Brecon Fringe Festival, left of centre has become the main event, while retaining its goofy eclectic status. It’s a four day stint that offers a mix bag from Seasick Steve to Big Macs wholly Soul Band through to county tinged Hat and the Fiddle and lone stars like RAGSY. There are more gigs than you can shake a stick at – if that’s your idea of fun. All of which are kept updated on the Fringe listings website www.breconfringe.wales.
