TURKISH TV SERIES CURRENTLY IN PRODUCTION AND EXPECTED TO AIR IN THE COMING MONTHS

RED ROSES

The first trailer for FOX’s new series “Red Roses” was recently released. The series will be starring Özgü Namal and Özcan Deniz. The cast also includes names such as Mert Yazıcıoğlu, Erkan Avcı and Hazal Türesan. The series is directed by Ömür Atay and produced by Gold Film.

“Red Roses” explores the intertwined destinies of Levent (Özcan Deniz), a secular Kemalist, and Meryem (Özgü Namal), a resident of a religious cult. The narrative highlights the unifying influence of parenthood, emphasizing the shared commitment to their child, despite divergent beliefs and opinions.

GADDAR

FOX recently announced the start of shooting for its upcoming series, “Gaddar”. Produced by Ay Yapım, the series is scripted by Hürer Ebeoğlu and directed by Sinan Öztürk and expected to air in 2024. Having an interesting plot, “Gaddar” also features a strong cast including Çağatay Ulusoy, Sümeyye Aydoğan, and Onur Saylak.

KOPUK

FOX’s new series “Kopuk” tells a modern Robin Hood story set in one of the most dangerous places in Istanbul, Tarlabaşı. Directed by Deniz Karaoğlu and co-written by Fuat Mete Özden and Selim Karadana, the series was produced by Med Yapım. “Kopuk” stars experienced actors such as Kaan Yıldırım (Ferhan), Biran Damla Yılmaz (Sera), Seray Kaya (Müjde), Mustafa Açılan (Tan) and Sarp Akkaya (Faruk).

ÖLENE KADAR

The series “Ölene Kadar” was signed with its producers D Media at MIPCOM Cannes. Expected to air in February 2024 at Kanal D, the series will star İbrahim Çelikkol as its lead actor. He is set to portray the character Hakan in the series.

KARAAĞAÇ

The series “Karaağaç” set in the 1970s and starring Olgun Şimşek, will be filmed in Cappadocia. The production for the “Karaağaç” series is set to commence at the end of the year, with plans for the series to air on TRT1 screens in the next year. Directed by Ufuk Hakan Eren, the series is produced by Motto Yapım.

PEARL GRAINS

The upcoming series “Pearl Grains”, written by Yılmaz Erdoğan is set to air in Kanal D soon. Yılmaz Erdoğan embodying the character Azem Yücedağ, recently released from prison and Hazar Ergüçlü taking on the role of Dilber, a nightclub dancer. Produced by BKM Production, the series features an ensemble cast including Yılmaz Erdoğan, Hazar Ergüçlü, Selma Ergeç, Kubilay Aka, Güven Kıraç, and Yasemin Baştan.

KORKMA BEN YANINDAYIM

FOX’s new series “Korkma Ben Yanındayım” recently started filming and expected to air by the end of 2023. Produced by Med Yapım, the series is directed by Merve Çolak and starring Şevket Çoruh (Nihat), Günay Karacaoğlu (Seher), Murat Aygen (Turgut), Didem Balçın (Aylin) and Eren Ören (Mert).

YILDIZLAR BANA UZAK

ATV’s new series “Yıldızlar Bana Uzak”, explores Kadir and Aslı’s love story and the aftermath of Kadir’s false imprisonment, after being accused of Aslı’s father’s murder. Starring Furkan Andıç and Burcu Kıratlı in the leading roles, the cast also includes Gürkan Uygun and Murat Daltaban. Produced by O3 Medya and Ortaks Yapım, the series is scripted by Ercan Uğur and directed by Bahadır İnce.

BAHARDAN ÖNCE

Preparations are underway for Show TV’s new series “Bahardan Önce”, produced by MF Yapım. The series is an adaptation of the Korean series “Doctor Cha”. The cast features Demet Evgar, Buğra Gülsoy, and Mehmet Yılmaz Ak, renowned for his role in “Family Secrets”.

Starring Şevval Sam and Caner Cindoruk in its lead roles, “Yan Oda”, produced by OGM Pictures for Star TV, introduces an interesting narrative. Şevval Sam portrays Verda, a famous TV presenter, while Caner Cindoruk embodies the character of Fikret, Verda’s partner, whose unexpected marriage becomes a sensational topic in the tabloids.

Irkin

The teaser poster for the forthcoming series “Çirkin”, co-produced by Med Yapım and 25 Film for FOX and filmed in Adana, has been recently released. Bahar Şahin is set to play the lead role in the series directed by Merve Girgin which explores the transformation of a young woman’s physical appearance.

OGM Pictures, known for producing successful TV series like “Golden Boy” and “Ömer”, continues to prepare for its upcoming series, “Saplantı”, for Star TV. The cast of the series will include Onur Seyit Yaran, Nilsu Berfin Aktaş, Meltem Akçöl, and Baran Bölükbaşı. “Saplantı” will be directed by Türkan Derya and will explore Babür, Simin and Sabah’s love triangle.

Preparations are underway for the TRT1 series “Ağlayan Gelin”, a production by Bozdağ Film. Directed by Yıldız Aşanboğa, the series is co-written by Ayşe Ferda Eryılmaz and Nehir Erdem. The cast of the series will include notable actors such as Sinan Tuzcu, Ekin Mert Daymaz and Ali Berk Reşitoğlu. Feyyaz Şerifoğlu, portraying one of the lead characters, will portray one of the twin brothers-soccer players named Yasin and Ersin in the series.
