Letter from the Headmaster As I reflect back on this past year that featured so many impressive accomplishments at Epiphany, the first word that comes to mind is “grateful”. I am grateful to be a member of a community where I witness the growth and learning of our students each day. I am grateful for the talented and dedicated faculty and staff. I am especially grateful that we have so many loyal and generous members of the Epiphany community whose efforts make it all possible. Alumni, parents, grandparents, trustees, faculty, staff and friends made gifts to Epiphany this past year. In the pages that follow you will find the names of those whose assistance provides the means for us to advance our mission and stay true to core values. We are indeed educating our students for lives of leadership and service, challenging them to uncover their gifts, kindling their passion for discovery, and encouraging each of them to explore their place in the larger world. To each of you listed here, let me again thank you for supporting our efforts to achieve these goals. The 2015-2016 school year promises to be great! I hope I can count on your support as we continue to offer the finest educational opportunities to our students. Go Falcons!
Respect, Responsibility,

Epiphany Financial Overview Long before we opened our doors, Nicholas and Catherine Sparks had a vision for a school that would be unique in the world of K-12 education. They imagined a Christian school that offered a 21st century education that took into account the importance of understanding the world. They imagined a school where students became fluent in another language, traveled to foreign countries, and where students would receive an education that would allow them to be admitted – and thrive – in the most prestigious universities in the country. They also understood that a school offering such an education would be expensive and perhaps beyond the means of most of our families. Yet, Nicholas and Catherine were undaunted. In Nicholas’ words: “Education changed my life, and the education I received growing up prepared me for the world I’d be facing in the future.” Nicholas Sparks grew up in what most people today would consider poverty; it wasn’t until he was eight that his family could afford a car; he was eighteen before he ever visited a dentist. What his parent lacked in finances, however, was more than made up by their strong moral values and the belief that education offered the chance for a different kind of future. That belief has never waned, and it eventually led Nicholas and Catherine Sparks to found The Epiphany School of Global Studies. Over the past 10 years, the Sparks have given their time and energy to the school; they’ve volunteered for thousands of hours and have committed the financial resources necessary to make this school what it is today. To date, they’ve donated nearly $20 Million, and it is due to their enormous generosity that the school has been able to grow at such an unprecedented rate. A school of this quality, with it’s unique vision and a yearly budget of over $4 million, would normally take close to 25 years to establish, yet it’s been accomplished in less than half that time. As the school enters its second decade of existence, the Sparks have begun to move away from providing financial support for operations. Instead, they support programs, activities and infrastructure that make our school the wonderful place that it is. The Sparks continue to pay down our debt by $1 million each year – the next donation will occur in the spring – and school debt should reach zero within the next three years. They also continue to donate to the Global Studies Program in the amount of approximately $150,000 annually. These funds make it possible for our students to experience the world beyond our borders. A high percentage of our students travel to foreign countries, a percentage that dwarfs the numbers offered by any other school in the country. This year, Mr. Sparks also contributed an additional $30,000 to fund a year-long professional development program that focuses on enriching our faculty & administration which, in effect, benefits our students.
As we celebrate our 10th year we are closer than ever before to becoming operationally self-sufficient. We are grateful for the on-going financial support offered by Nicholas and Catherine Sparks, and we – as a school community – can express our gratitude by continuing to support our school through annual financial gifts. Your annual gift is essential to our continued success and sustainability. Your financial contributions from last year have allowed our school to hire additional faculty members, expand our class offerings, upgrade technology, and improve our professional development. All of these enhancements enrich your children’s lives and education, and your support makes it all possible. Epiphany is already an extraordinary school. Please help us become even better.

Capital Campaign- Sharing our Gifts The Epiphany School of Global Studies launched the Sharing our Gifts Capital Campaign in August of 2011. Since its inception, families have pledged over $1 million. To date, we have collected over $700,000 and plan to collect the remaining $300,000 over the next few years. Capital gifts are designated as restricted giving for capital expenditures including acquisition, construction and related debt reduction. The capital campaign was started not only to assist in the building and construction of the Trent Road Campus, but also to assist in outfitting and renovating both the Trent Road and Henderson Avenue campuses. Opportunities to support the capital campaign continue to be available. Join us in thanking these generous donors:
