Thank you for supporting the Village of Hope’s children and families this summer and throughout every season!
We sincerely appreciate your compassion and commitment to seeing children’s lives transformed this summer at Orange County Rescue Mission! After experiencing so much uncertainty in their lives, you offered hope, stability, and the freedom to be a kid through your meaningful generosity. As the school year begins, we reflect on this past summer and the restoration that has taken place. Your support not only provided children with three daily meals and a safe place to call home but also comprehensive services that included a summer of fun and learning combined with a community focused on supporting them for a bright future. Thank you for your loving partnership!

Last year, Anne was living in a motel as a young teen. Her father was a full-fledged gang member by the age of 14, immersed in a family life filled with drugs, drinking, and violence that led him to divorce and homelessness. But God got Otis’s attention through a pastor who spoke the truth in love to him. In that motel, Anne’s father felt a strong conviction to say “yes” to God’s plan for both their lives, a decision that eventually led them to Orange County Rescue Mission. After moving into Village of Hope, Anne improved her grades to a 4.0 GPA and has shown herself to be a strong leader. As Anne was preparing to enter her freshman year of high school, she was able to have a summer full of life-enriching experiences as a part of the Village of Hope community. “Summer was really fun, especially when we got to spend time with the counselors that come in and help watch the kids. My favorite part was Sea World because I got to hang out with all my friends — before, I’d mostly stay home. The farthest place I think I’d gone before I came here was probably to pick up my grandma from the airport. Thank you for letting us experience all this different stuff!”
