MIRIAM JOHNSON, HOMETIME Miriam Johnson has been an actress and Home DIY enthusiast for the majority of her life. Her passion for DIY came from her father, who seemed to be able to fix anything. This resulted in building her own furniture, as well as tackling remodeling the majority of her first 500-square foot home in Los Angeles, and then her home in Minneapolis. Miriam brought her DIY interest and her own skills on power tools to the HOMETIME crew when she joined the show in 2004. Instantly she gained onthe-job training, learning more about everything from drywall, to tile to landscaping. Living in Chanhassen with her husband and two children, Miriam has since put her home knowledge to use as a realtor, and enjoys using her experience in home improvement and on HOMETIME to help guide people in ways to add value to their homes in true DIY style.
