the annual Career Expo at Eden Prairie High School with over 60 organizations and nearly 900 students participating, which connects businesses with students and the future workforce. In addition, the Chamber provides opportunities for the membership to engage with legislators through debates, forums and Business Day at the Capitol. 3. Prosper: Ensure the future prosperity of the Eden Prairie marketplace. The Chamber is the convener on developing projects to help build Eden Prairie into a destination marketplace. It demonstrates leadership on economic development to lead the way to a more vibrant City. The Chamber provides opportunities for local businesses to be recognized and gain new exposure to ensure their growth—including ribbon cutting ceremonies, member-hosted events and exhibitor opportunities. In addition, the Chamber works with the wider Minnesota community to promote Eden Prairie as a destination marketplace for visitors coming to the metro area for large-scale opportunities such as Super Bowl LII and the NCAA Championship.

City of EDEN PRAIRIE
Eden Prairie received its name in the mid1800s when it was considered a ‘garden spot’ in the newly developed Minnesota territory. Established in 1858, Eden Prairie remained a sleepy pastoral village until the mid-1900s when the additions of Flying Cloud Airport and Highway 494 put the City on the map, bringing thousands of homes and businesses to the area. Since then, the population of Eden Prairie has grown to nearly 62,000 and the number of businesses has multiplied to more than 2,800.

Bryant Lake Regional Park Bryant Lake Regional Park is nestled in 170 beautiful acres of rolling hills, woodlands, wetlands, and grasslands. Among the scenery, you might spot deer, waterfowl or songbirds that have made the park home. Bryant Lake also features the area’s premier 18-hole championship disc golf course and a popular swimming beach. Paddling sports, such as canoeing, kayaking and stand up paddleboarding are also popular activities at the park. Dog owners enjoy exercising their canine companions in the park’s 9-acre dog off-leash area. Minnesota River Bluffs LRT Regional Trail The Minnesota River Bluffs LRT Regional Trail is a popular Eden Prairie destination for biking, walking and running, The trail is a 12-mile aggregate trail that follows an old railroad route beginning in Hopkins and passing through Eden Prairie on its way to Chanhassen. Hyland Hills Ski Area Located in west Bloomington, a short drive from the Eden Prairie border, Hyland Hills Ski Area is the place for downhill skiing and snowboarding in the metro area. Hyland Hills’ terrain park is full of progressive and innovative features and the ski area is known for some of the best snowmaking and grooming in the Midwest. Coming up in 2019: The NCAA Championships come to the U.S. Bank Stadium! Yet another chance for us to showcase the beauty and life that Minnesota has to offer.

In the months leading up to the event, the NCAA Planning Committee will be hosting community and charity events that will be focused on diversity, youth, education and inclusion.
