The e-Participation project begins

ASPAYM CyL, BB&R, HRYO, Rosto Solidário & NCFuture Now celebrate the kick-off meeting

ASPAYM CyL hosted the kickoff meeting of the project "Exchange of good practices in the accessibility of electronic platforms between young p e o p l e w i t h d i s a b i l i t i e s ”. ASPAYM CyL, BB&R, HRYO, Rosto Solidário & NCFuture Now had the opportunity to detail each phase of the project and all the activities to be carried out.

e - Pa r t i c i p a t i o n s e e k s t o exchange of good practices on the use of electronic youth participation platforms that are accessible to all young people, regardless of whether they face barriers such as disabilities, in order to increase and improve their civic competences.

e-Participation launches its of cial social networks

To achieve this, the partners will evaluate 20 electronic platforms in the following elds of youth participation: political participation, public services, social networks and culture. Four will be analysed per country. This will be done by creating an evaluation template that will identify the essential characteristics and draw conclusions.

The project has created and launched its pro les on social networks: Instagram and Twitter. The 1st pro le will be the photographic album of the project, where all the activities and experiences carried out will be published. The second will be the means to generate awareness of the project themes on the public agenda: electronic platforms, accessibility for people with disabilities, youth participation and civic skills. The hashtags are: #eParticipation, #AccessibilityOfElectronicPlatforms & #ErasmusPlus

The Radio of the University of Salamanca interviewed Ms Natalia Neira and Mr Javier Herrero from ASPAYM CyL. During the virtual meeting, both members of the project could address: (i) What they understood by electronic platforms; (ii) What is the current situation of web accessibility in general and especially for people with disabilities; (iii) What are the main objectives of the project; (iv) What are the phases that will be developed to achieve the above objectives; and (v) What results are expected to be achieved and shared with other relevant stakeholders?
