DENPASAR - The first trial for law suit of Bali Governor against three defendants which were the Chief Editor of Bali Post, Nyoman Wirata (defendant I); PT. Bali Post (defendant II) and the reporter of Bali Post, I Ketut Bali Putra Ariawan (defendant III) was held in Denpasar High Court on Thursday, December 15, 2011.
The trial was led by Amzer Simanjuntak, S.H accompanied by IGB Komang Wijaya Adhi, S.H., and Agus Subekti, S.H. From the trial, the judge offered mediation for both sides which will be led by the Head of Denpasar High Court, John Piter, S.H., M.H. In the court attended by the lawyers of the governor which were

DENPASAR - Towards the Christmas and year-end holidays, many tourists are eager to spend holidays in Bali. However, the congestion situation occurring recently has been a scourge for Bali as a world tourist destination. It is kindled by the crowded traffic situation especially on road sections to tourist access, while on the year-end it is ascertained to be getting more severe. Chairman of the Indonesia Hotels
and Restaurants Association (PHRI) of Badung Regency, IGN Rai Suryawijaya, stated the increasingly serious congestion situation will influence the choice of location for the accommodation. “For domestic tourists, for instance, Kuta remains the leading destination, but they probably book accommodation outside Kuta, such as in Denpasar and the surrounding areas,” said Suryawijaya when contacted on Wednesday (Dec 14).
