Adam Levine Offers to Pay for Christina Grimmie’s Funeral
LOS ANGELES - Adam Levine has made a touching offer in the wake of Christina Grimmie’s tragic death.
The Maroon 5 frontman, who coached the late 22-year-old singer during season six of The Voice, will pay for Grimmie’s funeral, Levine’s management confirmed to ET. “I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away,“ Grimmie’s brother, Marcus Grimmie, wrote in a Facebook post late Sunday. Grimmie was shot and killed on Friday at The Plaza Live in Orlando, Florida, while signing autographs
for fans after performing with the pop-rock band, Before You Exit. Levine spoke out shortly after the tragedy to express his condolences. “Behati and I are absolutely devastated and heartbroken by Christina Grimmie’s tragic death,” Levine said in a statement obtained by ET. “Our hearts go out to her family. Christina was a natural, a gifted talent that comes along so rarely. She was taken from us too soon. This is yet another senseless act of extreme violence. I am left stunned and confused how these things can conceivably continue to happen in our world.” Grimmie’s brother has since posted details on a vigil that will

Would love to see anyone and everyone. Thanks all,” he wrote. Grimmie’s older sibling was present at the time of the shooting and tackled his sister’s killer, who has now been identified as 27year-old Kevin James Loibl of St. Petersburg, Florida. “Her brother is a hero and possibly saved countless other lives,” a tweet posted by the Orlando Police Department read over the weekend. “He is not injured.” (IBP/net)

Steam rises from the street as the spire of One World Trade Center is lit in rainbow colors to honor the victims of the Orlando shooting massacre at the Pulse nightclub, in the Manhattan borough of New York, U.S., June 13, 2016.
U.S. authorities said they had found no direct links between Islamic State and Mateen, the U.S.born son of Afghan immigrants who killed 49 people at a gay nightclub in Orlando on Sunday. Mateen, 29, was shot dead by police who stormed the Pulse club with armored cars after a threehour siege. In 911 calls during his rampage, the killer expressed allegiance to Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. But Federal Bureau of Investigation Director James Comey said Mateen had made comments favorable to multiple armed Islamist movements and people, which “adds a little bit to the confusion about his motives.” President Barack Obama said Mateen was likely a homegrown extremist. “So far, we see no indication that this was a plot directed from outside the United States and we see no indication that he was part of any kind of network,” Comey told reporters in Washington. “We’re highly confident this killer was radicalized at least in some part through the internet.” Islamic State, which controls territory in Iraq and Syria, reiterated on Monday a claim of responsibil-
ity, although it offered no signs to indicate coordination with the gunman. In calls to authorities on Sunday, Mateen also mentioned support for the Boston Marathon bombers and a Florida man who became a Nusra Front suicide bomber in Syria, Comey said. Nusra is an al Qaeda offshoot which is at odds with Islamic State in Syria’s civil war. Co-workers reported Mateen to the FBI in 2013 after he had made “inflammatory and contradictory” statements, including a claim that he had family connections to al Qaeda and membership of Shi’ite militant group Hezbollah, a bitter rival. The FBI’s Miami office investigated Mateen for 10 months and interviewed him twice but found no evidence of a crime or connection with a militant group. Three genres of Balinese traditional dance listed by UNESCO DENPASAR - Three genres of Balinese traditional dance are listed by the UNESCO in the field of Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection. The three Balinese traditional
dance genres are included in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity of the UNESCO on December 2, 2015 after experiencing a delayed discussion in 2011 because each country can only process one heritage per year. There are three dance genres in Balinese
culture spread over nine districts / municipality consisting of Karangasem, Klungkung, Bangli, Gianyar, Badung, Tabanan, Jembrana, Buleleng and Denpasar. Three genres of the Balinese traditional dance comprise the sacred dance like the Rejang Dance, Sanghyang Dedari and Ritual Baris; semi-sacred
dance (14-19 AD) like the Sidakarya Mask, Gambuh ballet and Wayang Wong ballet; and performance dance like the Legong Keraton, Joged Bumbung and Barong. Dance... Continued on page 2
