The first bank robbery in Bali was happened on Friday, October 23rd 2009. The bank which was robbed was BRI (Bank Rakyat Indonesia) in Padang Luwih Street, Dalung, northern Kuta.

Five robbers stormed the bank and tied four of the employees. The robbers run away with 295 million

in cash which was originally will be sent to the central office. The employee could not resist because

the robbers were carrying weapons. The information in the crime scene describe that four robbers were entering the bank and the other stay outside to watch the situation. A witness said “they were using a white van but no one saw

the license plate of the car.” The police officer explained that the robbers were pretending to become customers of the bank. At first, two of them came in to the bank followed by the other two. Continued on page 6
