Hulk Hogan sues friend, gossip site over sex tape Associated Press Writer

TAMPA, Fla. — Former pro wrestler Hulk Hogan sued a disc jockey, the DJ’s ex-wife and a gossip website Monday after a sex tape involving Hogan and the woman was posted online. Hogan said in two lawsuits that he had consensual sex with his best friend’s wife, Heather Clem, about six years ago in the Clemses’ home, but he did not know he was being secretly recorded. “Mr. Hogan had a reasonable expectation of his privacy, just as all Americans have a reasonable expectation of their privacy in their bedrooms,” attorney Charles Harder said. The video was posted on the online gossip site Gawker. Hogan is seeking $100 million in damages from the

New York-based media company, which declined comment. It’s unclear who gave the video to Gawker. In the suit against the Clemses, Hogan claimed the video caused “severe and irreparable injury which cannot be adequately compensated by monetary damages.” Hogan is seeking the rights to the video in both lawsuits. Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, wore a tight black T-shirt, black pants and dark sunglasses as he stood outside of the federal court in Tampa while his attorneys spoke to the news media. He did not comment. It’s not clear whether Hogan and Bubba the Love Sponge Clem are still friends. The Clemses have since divorced. Hogan acknowledged on various TV talk shows recently that he had sex with

Heather Clem while he was married to Linda Hogan. The Hogans have also divorced. Hogan, his ex-wife and the couple’s son and daughter have appeared on the reality show “Hogan Knows Best.” Stephen Diaco, a lawyer for Bubba the Love Sponge Clem, said Hogan was the best man at the Clemses’ wedding and he is also a godfather to their child. “My hope is that these two can preserve their friendship,” said Diaco. “I can’t comment on the suit. This has caused harm to Bubba and he didn’t release it, he didn’t condone the release of it. He wants to find out who did that and he wants that person to be held accountable.” It is illegal in Florida to record someone without their permission, but Hogan waited too long to file criminal charges.

LONDON — You can’t always get what you want — but if your desire is to attend a Rolling Stones concert this might be your lucky day. The legendary band said Monday it would return to the stage this year with four concerts in Britain and the United States. The shows will take place on Nov. 25 and 29 at London’s O2 Arena, followed by gigs on Dec. 13 and 15 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, just outside of New York. The shows mark the first time in five years that the Stones have performed live, with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood all coming together once more. The band said it was the “crowning glory” of celebrations marking

its 50th anniversary of its first gig. “Everybody loves a celebration, and London and New York are two good places to do it in!” Jagger said in a statement. The Stones have sold more than 200 million records, with hits including “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” ‘’Street Fighting Man” and “You Can’t Always Get What You Want.” But in recent years much of their income has come from touring. Their last global tour, “A Bigger Bang,” earned more than $500 million between 2005 and 2007.

Flood mitigation project at Celukan Bawang discontinued Singaraja (Bali Post)—

A number of villagers of Celukan Bawang, Gerokgak subdistrict, protested the flood mitigation project in the area. The drainage project on the Seririt-Gilimanuk roadside to the beach was suddenly stopped. Information compiled in the field on Monday (Oct 15) told if the flood mitigation project at Celukan Bawang was handled by the Bali Public Works Agency. To drain the water flowing from the upstream area during the rain, the government made drainage in the south and north of the road. However, the drainage in the north of the road to the beach only reached 100 meters of the 700 meters planned. It meant the remaining 600 meters had not been built. Residents worried if their village would be flooded in next rainy season as the flash flood last year. A resident, Sarpudin, 65, said he was originally pleased as the government made drainage to drain the flash flood during the rainy season. Even, he and other residents allowed his land sizing 1.25 meters to widen the drain-

age without compensation. However, in reality, the project was suddenly discontinued. Sarpudin claimed to be apprehensive if it would rain his village would be submerged due to flash floods from the upstream as happened in 2011. Moreover, the drainage in the north of the road was only along 100 meters, while the remaining 600 meters were left dormant. “It is said the drainage will get to the beach, but in reality the project has been dormant. It means the government deliberately drowns our village. In the next rainy season, the water will surely flow into our village as the drainage has not been completed,” he said. Sarpudin added that his complaint had been reported to the authorities of Celukan Bawang village. In essence, he asked to continue the project as planned earlier because people had

supported it by sacrificing their land without compensation. If the demand was not met, the residents threatened to shut down the drainage along the Jalan Seririt-Gilimanuk, so that when it rained the flood would submerge the street or village in the south of the road. In a separate location, Chairman of the Village Consultative Assembly (BPD) of Celukan Bawang, Filhan, justified that his residents complained about the flood mitigation project at Celukan Bawang. Filhan said their complaint had been submitted to the Bali Public Works Agency. “We have asked to the Bali Public Works. We cannot do much and also worry that in the next rainy season our residents will be submerged because the drainage has not been completed,” he explained. (kmb)

In the future, his party would also open up a security post at tourist attractions such as Banjar Hot Spring, Banjar subdistrict, and another post in Tejakula subdistrict. “We’ve just got two posts and we will open again in Banjar and Tejakula. Therefore, all the regions having tourism potential will have a security post,” he explained. Meanwhile, Chief of Gerokgak Police, Wayan Suarta, said the tourism security post at Pemuteran was built with the help of some donors. The post was built on state land at Sendan Lepang hamlet on the area of 17 ares. In the meantime, the Headman of Pemuteran, Ketut Suardana, welcomed the opening of the tourism security post at Pemuteran. It was a form of commitment of Buleleng Police to jointly maintain the Pemuteran area starting to become a tourism area. “We strongly support and hope there will be a security post because our area has developed into a tourism area. It truly requires favorable environment. So far, there is very conducive condition and we are confident this post will make it easier for the officers to supervise the area,” he said. (kmb)

Escaped from Jakarta, two suspect of fake dollar captured in Bali Denpasar (Bali Post) –

Two accused escapee that have been convicted by South Jakarta District Court were successfully captured by Bali Police General Crime Research Directorate last Monday (15/10). Mickelson Inzagi Joe alias Eric Joe (37) and Mzyece Isilio alias Sky (22) both from Mozambique were found at Glogor Carik Street and Pulau Galang Street, South Denpasar, at each of their staying places as stated by Head of the troops, GAPC Harry Haryadi, who has been investigating the case the past one week. Eric Joe was captured when he was out of his staying place by 1 pm local time where police caught in a fight with him then. Later on Eric gave up after police put him at gun point. Joe then admitted his friend Sky lived not far from him and so Sky was captured around 4.30 pm local time without any fight. According to accused they have escaped through Semarang, Surabaya then Bali and have stayed in Bali since three weeks ago. They also purposely stayed in different places so they can’t be found. “They were renting lodge houses priced IDR 1.5 million and 1.8 million,” Haryadi explained. It is known that the two accused escaped when about to face trial at Jakarta last 19th September 2012. The two black men were involved n a USD bill fraud as much as 13,500 bills with USD 100 value each totaling 12 Billion Rupiah fraud. As they have been proved to violated Section 245 section 55 paragraph 1 the first Criminal Codes on keeping and producing fake money have resulted a sanction of 3 years jail yet it is heavier than the suggested 2.5 years which so an appeal is still being processed. Balinese Temple Ceremony Every Temple and Shrine has a special date for it annual Ceremony, or “ Odalan “, every 210 days according to Balinese calendar, including the smaller ancestral shrine which each family possesses. Because of this practically every few days a ceremony of festival of some kind takes place in some Village in Bali. There are also times when the entire island celebrated the same Holiday, such as at Galungan, Kuningan, Nyepi day, Saraswati day, Tumpek Landep day, Pagerwesi day, Tumpek Wayang day etc. The dedication or inauguration day of a Temple is considered its birth day and celebration always takes place on the same day if the wuku or 210 day calendar is used. When new moon is used then the celebration always happens on new moon or full moon. The day of course can differ the religious celebration of a temple lasts at least one full day with some temple celebrating for three days while the celebration of Besakih temple, the Mother Temple, is never less than 7 days and most of the time it lasts for 11 days, depending on the importance of the occasion. The celebration is very colorful. The shrine are dressed with pieces of cloths and sometimes with brocade, sailings, decorations of carved wood and sometimes painted with gold and Chinese coins, very beautifully arranged, are hung in the four corners of the shrine. In front of shrine are placed red, white or black umbrellas depending which Gods are worshipped in the shrines. In front of important shrine one sees, besides these umbrellas soars, tridents and other weapons, the “umbulumbul”, long flags, all these are prerogatives or attributes of Holiness. In front of the Temple gate put up “Penjor”, long bamboo poles, decorated beautifully ornaments of young coconut leaves, rice and other products of the land. Most beautiful to see are the girls in their colorful attire, carrying offerings, arrangements of all kinds fruits and colored cakes, to the Temple. Every visitor admires the grace with which the carry their load on their heads.

Russia launches anti-smoking crackdown

MOSCOW - Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev launched a crackdown on smoking on Tuesday with a bill to ban tobacco advertising and raise taxes on cigarettes in the world’s second largest tobacco market after China. Medvedev, stern-faced in a leather jacket in a message on his video blog, said one in three Russians, or 44 million people, are hooked on smoking in Russia, and almost 400,000 die every year of smoking-related causes. “Every year (the equivalent of) a large city disappears,” he said. “The government has adopted an anti-tobacco concept and today we are beginning to realize it.” Under health ministry proposals, tobacco advertising - now only allowed in some print media - would be outlawed, taxes progressively increased on cigarette sales and smoking in cafes and other public spaces eventually banned. Russia banned tobacco billboard ads in 2007. The bill is expected to be submitted to parliament for approval in the coming days, two sources told Reuters. The top players in Russia - British American Tobacco, Japan Tobacco International, Philip Morris and Imperial Tobacco - have lobbied to soften the proposed legislation.

ROSWELL, N.M — Felix Baumgartner stood poised in the open hatch of a capsule suspended above Earth, wondering if he would make it back alive. Twenty four miles below him, millions of people were right there with him, watching on the Internet and marveling at the wonder of the moment. A second later, he stepped off the capsule and barreled toward the New Mexico desert as a tiny white speck against a darkly-tinted sky. Millions watched him breathlessly as he shattered the sound barrier and then landed safely about nine minutes later, becoming the world’s first supersonic skydiver. “When I was standing there on top of the world, you become so humble, you do not think about breaking records anymore, you do not think about gaining scientific data,” Baumgartner said after Sunday’s jump. “The only thing you want is to come back alive.” The tightly-orchestrated jump meant to break records became much more in the dizzying, breathtaking moment — a collectively shared cross between Neil Armstrong’s moon landing and Evel Knievel’s famed motorcycle jumps on ABC’s “Wide World of Sports.” It was part scientific wonder, part daredevil reality show, with the live-streamed event instantly

To that end, the Commission III of Bali House proposed a bylaw draft on forest rehabilitation and urban forest development. “We propose to draft a regional bylaw on forest rehabilitation and the making of urban forest considering the condition of forest in Bali is increasingly critical and its area continues to decrease,” said Chairman of Commission III of the Bali House, Gusti Made Suryanta Putra. The regional bylaw would regulate the forest conservation efforts, including the budget and allowed cultivation. Such regulation draft was still in the formulation phase in the internal Commission III. Later, it would involve the academician for the academic study. “We have prepared the draft and will review what points are not included before proposed for technical and academic studies. Hopefully, the forest would be thoroughly preserved and there will be more adequate budget,” he said. Further, he said the forest area in Bali increasingly suffered damage due to fire as happening to the forest on Mount Agung burning out 160 hectares, fire on Mount Batur burning out 50 hectares and some forest areas across Bali. “Some parts of the forest in Bali always catch fire every year. Of course, it reduces the forest area we have. Moreover, so far the reforestation movement remains very rare,” he said. He explained that based on the data of the Agency for Regional Development (Bappeda) in 2009, the

Now, they are in critical condition,” said the politician from Tabanan. The PDI-P politician also lamented why the budget so far was very small for forest conservation disbursed by Bali Government. He said that in the 2013 regional budget draft the budget for forest conservation was only IDR 2 billion. Such amount was deemed to be incomparable to the damage. Of such budget, 75 percent would be allocated for indirect spending. Therefore, only IDR 400 million was allocated for forest rehabilitation across Bali and over IDR 100 million for supervision. “We strongly deplore the budget allocated for forest conservation was minimal. How should we realize the Bali clean and green program if the budget alone is very sluggish?” he said while hoping the provincial, regency and municipal government could make synergy to provide an adequate funding. Lion Air terrorized by a stranger

Bomb threat had afflicted the Lion Air for Yogyakarta-Denpasar route on Sunday night (Oct 14). The aircraft with flight number JT568 was terrorized via telephone by an unknown person. The perpetrator told if there was a bomb on board and ready to explode. The bomb terror was received by a staff on duty of Lion Air in Yogyakarta named Yuli. She then forwarded the information, so that it was reported to police station for further action. Ironically, the bomb threat happened when the aircraft with flight number JT 568 was en route from Jakarta to Yogyakarta. However, the aircraft landed at Adi Sucipto Airport, Yogyakarta at 9:25 p.m. The Bomb Squad promptly performed

BATUMI — Georgia’s Black Sea resort of Batumi was once a bleak site: Roads were dotted with potholes, the city was pitch dark at night, running water was scarce and the city’s best hotel was infested with rats. Today Batumi glitters with neon lights and luxury high-rise hotels dot its skyline; soon the city will even boast a fountain flowing with Georgian grape vodka. The transformation of the ancient city of 180,000 near the border with Turkey is a vivid example of Georgia’s drive to capitalize on its tourism potential, boosting the economy of an ex-Soviet nation where roughly one person in five lives in poverty. The government has attracted top foreign investors, such as U.S. real estate magnate Donald Trump, to build hotels and develop and renovate tourist sites. And it has aggressively marketed Georgia as a tourism hot spot. The project capitalizes not only on Georgia’s geographical riches — the Black Sea, the soaring Caucasus mountains and its ancient cities — but also on the very essence of the Georgian culture: hospitality itself. Here, refusing to come into one’s home and sitting down at a food-laden table can result in deep personal insult, while declining to toast with traditional Georgian wine can prompt reprimands like, “Don’t you respect me?” “Unfortunately, Georgia is not a country that has a lot of natural resources, there is no oil, no gas and so what helps the country grow economically is intellect and tourism,” Batumi

But the effects of the tourism campaign are plain to see in the transformation of this resort, dubbed the “Batumi Miracle.” Today, the center of Batumi could easily be mistaken for a western European seaside town with neat cobblestone streets, graced by vine grapes descending onto the pavement, bustling cafes and noisy fountains. The city skyline is dotted by internationally renowned hotels like the Sheraton and the Hilton; scores of others including a 47-story Trump Tower are being built. At night, Batumi is bright with lights and even the pineapple-shaped palm

The new hotels have created several thousand jobs for the graduates of a recently opened tourism college, a heartening change in a country where the unemployment rate is 16 percent. Restaurants and cafes have sprung up like mushrooms, offering the traditional Georgian dish called of Khachapuri, crusty boat-shaped bread in which an egg yolk floats in melted cheese and butter. Oksana Dovrenova, 40, came to Batumi with her daughter Damira Rakhmanova, 15, from the Central Asian nation of Kazakhstan. It was their first time at the sea and they were pleasantly surprised to discover that sea water is indeed salty. “The people are very friendly, very welcoming, they are always happy to see you. Good job,” Dovrenova said, as she sunbathed at the pebble stone beach. Shi Tang, 29, from China who works as a sales manager at a radio station in nearby Turkey, said he will return to Batumi, which he called a “European city,” with his friends. “This is a good place: good sea, good beach and there are so many churches,” Shi said.

Secretary General of the Indonesian Hotels and Restaurants Association (PHRI) of Bali, Ferry Markus, said the certification program organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy received tremendous response. Unluckily, the ministry only provided rations for 300 workers. “The allocation is only for 300 people. Until the day before the event, 455 people had registered. We estimated the number would be more than 500 people,” said Ferry Markus in Hotel Nikko. Ferry estimated that tourism workers in Bali amounted to some 150,000 people. If the workers having basic certification came to some 7,000 people, we would lack of 143,000 certified workers. The certification was carried out to the level of staff, supervisors and department heads. “This certification is very important for the workers towards the free competition. In the upcoming year 2015, the ASEAN region will implement the free market. Foreign workers will come in. If we do not prepare ourselves from now on, we

If the surf was big I can post 9-point-rides too. I’m happy to finish third, I came to win, but third is okay.”

2 motorcycles escorting first lady collide in Ohio Associated Press

DELAWARE — Authorities say two motorcycles have collided while escorting first lady Michelle Obama from a campaign stop in central Ohio, injuring a police officer and a state trooper. The State Highway Patrol says the motorcycles somehow sideswiped each other late Monday afternoon east of Delaware as the motorcade headed to an airport. A state trooper and a Genoa Township police officer were hurt in the crash. They were hospitalized in Columbus in stable condition. The patrol says the police officer’s injuries were more serious than the trooper’s but were not life-threatening. Mrs. Obama wasn’t hurt, and her motorcade continued on its route. She had campaigned at nearby Ohio Wesleyan University and was headed to Cleveland for another event. No other vehicles were involved in the crash. AP Photos

WASHINGTON — Barack Obama vows to put up a fight Tuesday in his second debate with Republican challenger Mitt Romney, a promise the president will need to keep if he is to overcome his lackluster, momentum-stalling performance in the candidates’ first debate two weeks ago. Romney will likewise need to turn in a repeat of his strong showing in the initial face-to-facecompetition, a performance which propelled him into a virtual tie in nationwide polling. Obama still hangs on to small leads in many of the nine key swing states that likely will determine which man occupies the White House on Inauguration Day, Jan. 20. The so-called battleground states — those that do not reliably vote either Republican or Democratic — take on outsized importance in the U.S. system where the president is chosen not by the nationwide popular vote but in state-by-state contests. The Tuesday debate at Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York, falls exactly three weeks before Election Day in what promises to be one of the closest presidential contests in recent U.S. history. The Nov. 6 vote takes place against a backdrop of deep partisan divisions among Americans and near political deadlock in Congress. The president’s first act in this critical campaign week was to announce a new battleground state advertisement featuring voters discussing the ways their economic conditions have improved during his term. The ad was hitting the airwaves as Obama and Romney remained closeted with advisers in

debate preparation. Officials expect at least 100,000 people to line the route from the Phnom Penh airport, where his body is expected to arrive Wednesday, to the Royal Palace, where it will lay in state during a week of official mourning. Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen late Monday ordered all radio and television stations not to play inappropriately lighthearted music or programming that might show disrespect to the late monarch, who abdicated in 2004 in favor of his son Sihamoni. Sihanouk’s body will remain in the palace for a total of three months, during which time the public can pay respects before it is cremated according to Buddhist ritual. Nearly 100 Buddhist monks and nuns chanted and prayed for Sihanouk at a one-hour ceremony Tuesday at a pagoda near the Royal Palace. “As Buddhists, we believe that our chanting and praying will help send the soul of our beloved king-father to rest in peace and be quickly reborn,” said Ngoun Pheadkey, a 22-year-old Buddhist monk. He added that the ceremony was also to express gratitude to the former king for his leadership and legacy. Bunches of flowers lay on the sidewalk against the palace walls Tuesday. Several dozen people, mostly older, traveled into the capital from other provinces after hearing of Sihanouk’s death.

INDONESIA Sumatran orangutan rescued in western Indonesia

JAKARTA — A critically endangered Sumatran orangutan was rescued from an isolated forest area in western Indonesia where palm oil companies have been illegally destroying the environment, a conservation group said Monday. The adult male orangutan, named Seuneam, had been trapped for several days in an area surrounded by palm oil plantations and was isolated from the rest of the surviving orangutan population in Tripa swamp in the Nagan Raya district. It was found and safely evacuated over the weekend, the Sumatran Orangutan Conservation Program said. The Tripa swamp was home to around 3,000 orangutans in the 1990s but now has only about 200. Still, the population is the densest in the world with about eight per square kilometer (20 per square mile), the group said. Tripa is a legally protected

area, but several palm oil companies are under investigation for breaking the law, and the permit for one plantation has been canceled, it said. “We are always happy to see a successful rescue take place, but these activities are expensive, logistically challenging and also dangerous, for both staff and the orangutans themselves,” Ian Singleton of the group said. “It’s not the orangutans that should be leaving this area, it is the palm oil companies who are breaking the law.” There are an estimated 6,600 Sumatran orangutans remaining in the wild.

MEDAN - Police are called on to crack down on rampant drug smuggling via the port of Teluk Nibung of Tanjung Balai, North Sumatra, anti narcotic activist said. Teluk Nibung has long been known as the main entry gate for international drug trafficking mainly from Malaysia to Indonesia, Hamdani Harahap, the chairman of North Sumatra branch of the National Movement of Anti Narcotics, said here on Tuesday. “The port of Teluk Nibung needs to be made a safe place and cleaned from drug smuggling,” Hamdani said. More police officers should be placed in Teluk Nibung as so far police have been in difficulty and failed to stamp out drug smuggling via the port facing the busy sea lane of Malacca Strait, he said. The government should seriously and immediately address the problem long besetting Teluk Nibung and Tanjung Balai, he said. “Teluk Nibung must be cleaned of the illicit deals, to save the people especially the younger

generation from falling victim to drug syndicate,” he said. Monday, police raided the house of an alleged financier and operator of drug trafficking in Medan. Police arrested eight suspects including couriers, crew members including captain of a ferry boat that smuggled drugs from Malaysia via Teluk Nibung. Evidence is confiscated including 5 kg of narcotics, fire arms, scale and cash of Rp17 million and 20,000 Malaysian ringgit. Comr. Andjar Dewanto, who led the raid, said the move was part of police actions to crack down on international drug networks operating smuggling of drugs from Malaysia via Teluk Nibung. A suspect identified as AH who resisted arrest and tried to grab a pistol from the hand of a police officer was shot dead. Police have arrested a number of suspects smuggling drugs from Malaysia via Teluk Nibung into Indonesia. Tanjung Balai is small port town on the eastern coast of North Sumatra with a population of 155,889 people.

JAKARTA - Indonesian miner Bumi Plc. said Nathaniel Rothschild had resigned from its board, in the latest twist to the British tycoon’s battle with the powerful Bakrie family for control of the firm. His resignation came as Bumi’s board considers a proposal by Indonesia’s Bakrie family to sever their ties with the company and buy the key mines it owns in the country. Rothschild’s move, and his comments in a strongly-worded resignation letter issued Monday, prompted the Bakries to hit out at the Briton, calling him a “threat to shareholders”. The ongoing row has seen London-listed Bumi’s shares slump more than 70 percent this year. At the heart of the dispute is a Rothschild-backed investigation into the Bakrie-founded Bumi Resources, Indonesia’s largest coal miner, which is part-owned by Bumi Plc. Bumi Resources is one of a

string of companies owned by the family of Aburizal Bakrie, one of Indonesia’s wealthiest men and a probable candidate in presidential elections in 2014. The Bakries have offered to give up their 23.8 percent stake in Bumi and pay about $1.2 billion for its mines, which would leave the firm with no assets other than the cash from the deal, while returning control of some of Indonesia’s most productive mines to the Bakries. In the resignation letter quoted by Dow Jones Newswires, Rothschild said he was against the Bakries’ proposal to withdraw from Bumi Plc in exchange for its Indonesian mining assets, including the under-scrutiny resources company. He expressed his determination to fight for the company’s investors from outside the board and said he regretted helping to bring

Sepang to honour late Marco Simoncelli

Marco Simoncelli will be honoured by the MotoGP community when it travels to Sepang for this weekend’s Malaysian Grand Prix. The Italian rider lost his life in an accident on the second lap of last year’s race, held on October 23. The 24-year-old had been fighting for fourth when he lost the front of his bike and slid across the circuit, into the path of oncoming riders. He was taken to the circuit’s medical centre, but did not survive the injuries he sustained. In tribute to the Italian, who had established himself as one of the most exciting new stars in MotoGP in what was his second year at the top level, a bronze plaque will be installed at Turn 11. Sepang’s CEO Razlan Razali said riders and team officials would gather at the corner on Thursday in remembrance of the Italian. “A bronze plaque will be installed at turn 11 in remembrance of Simoncelli,” Razlan told AFP.

He added that a new ‘Marco Simoncelli rookie of the year’ trophy would be unveiled on the Saturday of the Malaysian Grand Prix, and would then be awarded to the best MotoGP newcomer at the Valencia season finale. Simoncelli had taken his best grand prix finish of second just one week before losing his life at Sepang. Felipe Massa believes that he is now back to his best in Formula 1, after his recent resurgence in form. The Brazilian has scored more points than anyone other than Sebastian Vettel in the last five races, with a run of form that has helped Ferrari move up to second in the constructors’ championship. As AUTOSPORT reported on Sunday, Massa’s performances have secured him a new deal at Ferrari for next year. And the man himself is delighted at the way he has banished his early-season troubles. “I feel very strong now, to be honest,” he explained. “I feel in a strong direction, driving the car more in an automatic way, so I am much more happy. “To put everything together is really nice, so the most important thing is to go in the car and have fun. When you go in the car and you don’t have fun or be happy, even if you have one of the best jobs in the world, it is not nice. “If you are not happy you cannot do the job in the right direction. So the situation is now happier and much better.” Massa believes that the key to his improved form has been extracting more speed from the car in qualifying, although he thinks Ferrari still needs to be better in this area. “When you do the first corner and see you are in the top five, things are different,” he said. “The race is much easier. “When you start in a worse position, you have around you many things happen, and you don’t know what to expect from the other drivers as well.” “When you understand the car and the tyres it is always easier and better.
