So here we are… as of monday the board of 24/25 steps down to leave space for the new voard… here are some take aways that some of them have shared:
A brilliant year, the board members consistently went above and beyond to deliver an action packed 12 months, with tonnes of learning and a wide variety of events providing all members, SLP’s and children with opportunities to participate. Definitely a WOW year!
if you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together. My personal addition, go with EO.
This year has been transformational. From incredible SLP events that bring our families into our EO tribe and show why we are so passionate about EO, to Forum workshops that drive deep meaningful change. None of this would be possible without the tireless work and dedication of every member of EO Kenya. Showing up is the biggest commitment. Impact is not how many people you can speak to, it’s about changing one persons life for the better.

It’s been a super privilege to serve with such amazing humans on the board, as well as driving deeper connection and community across our chapter—most memorably through the incredible opportunity to lead this year’s chapter retreat. From our first-ever Moderator Strategy Day to the Forum Cup, coaching workshops, WOW retreats and some very questionable after-parties �� — we truly went all in. It wasn’t just forums… it was WOW forums!
I’m grateful for the laughs, the learning, the 7am calls, and the midnight texts (some of which I still haven’t recovered from ). But most of all — I’m proud of the energy and heart each of you brought to the table.

Been a pleasure to work with a high-performance board. Genuinely felt there was more ‘action’ than talk; strong progress and initiatives that made it an excellent year ‘across the board’ ;)
If I had to sum it up on a personal level; I would say it’s been a year of Learning & Bonding. The Calendar hit all the right notes with the right balance. The personal ‘hack’ was not overthinking what to show up to; if available, i just made the effort to attendand there was no situation where I regretted it.
At the moment i’m renewing on autopilot with my eyes closed, no question to think about with respect to ‘the value’ i get back. Kudos to everyone that put in the effort to make it a WOW year…
