Tis the Season I hope this season finds you flourishing! I also hope that it finds you PREPARED. As we anticipate all of the joys surrounding the holidays, I hope that you prepare for staying WELL. I remember myself in another life over a decade ago, resolving myself to ride out the season with a flock of little ones, intentionally skipping out on parties and festivities in order to just “hide out” and avoid “catching” whatever was going around.

My how life has changed! I love that I can now freely absorb all the joy of the gatherings of this joyous season, but with a measure of protection built in to our daily lifestyle, one that gives me the confidence to know that we can overcome or literally stop illness in it’s tracks as our bodies are more resilient, supported and ready to rise than ever before. My fridge is stocked with healthy meals & nourishing bone broth. We are making it a point to STILL get outside and MOVE daily despite the cold weather. We are fostering connection & growing our tribe which is truly food for the soul. To top it off, our cabinet is well stocked with the essential oils and supplements that have me feeling at ease and ready for anything as the season evolves. Being prepared is a GIFT. One of the biggest changes in my life since doTERRA came along has been my ability to let go...let fo of fear, control, overthinking....between education and preparation I have been able to arrive in a place where I am simply confident & find peace in my ability to support my family and my own body. Modeling wellness comes naturally, and my kids are at the age where they each have their own daily rituals and products that anchor them to their own intention to LIVE WELL. So my prayer for you this winter is that you rest in the fact that you too have what it takes to become prepared, and can enjoy the best of this time of year knowing that you are the healer in your own home, ready for anything!

SWITCHEL: GINGER SHOTS 6-10 TBSP unfiltered apple cider vinegar with "the mother"

TIs the season for Immunity challenges galore, however this is also the season where the prepared home makes ALL the difference in how easily bodies can fight and keep defenses high. I love this collection of winter elixers year round, and they have become staples in our home, but definitely rise in superpower status as the seasonal threats get soothed and knocked out one by one!

4-6 TBSP raw honey or blackstrap molasses 6- inch piece of fresh ginger root peeled and finely minced 3-5 drops lemon EO 12 cups water 2 fresh organic lemons juiced and zested Instructions Mix all ingredients in a large jar, cover, and shake well.

Place in the refrigerator overnight.

To serve, enjoy as a single shot, pour over ice or add seltzer water if desired.

FIRE CIDER INGREDIENTS 1 orange 1 pomengrate 2-3 cups of apple cider vinegar 1-2 cup of honey

INSTRUCTIONS 1. Chop and grate vegetables, fruits, and roots such as horseradish, ginger, and turmeric.

2. Add ingredients to a 64-ounce glass jar.

WHY WE LOVE IT The spicy qualities of the fire cider come from warming ingredients. Not only do these ingredients increase the potency of the tonic, but the heating qualities also warm the body. Your body will be physically soothed by the warming effects of the cider. Fire cider can be made literally hundreds of different ways and through many different methods.

GOLDEN MILK INGREDIENTS 1 cup of milk (regular, coconut, or almond) 1 tsp honey 1/4 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tsp coconut sugar 1/2 tsp coconut oil dash of black pepper 1-2 drops turmeric essential oil INSTRUCTIONS 1. Add all the ingredients, except the essential oil, into a small saucepan.

2. Heat over low to medium heat until the desired temperature is reached.

Stir often to avoid burning the milk.

3. Pulse the milk for 3-5 seconds in a blender or until frothy.

4. Pour the milk into a mug and add turmeric essential oil. Stir and serve hot.

WHY WE LOVE IT It’s loaded with antioxidants.

Turmeric, especially, contains strong antioxidants that can help lower the risk for infections and disease.

May help reduce inflammation and joint pain. Ginger, cinnamon and turmeric have potent antiinflammatory properties, which may help to reduce joint pain from osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.

May improve memory and brain function, mood, and protect against heart disease. Turmeric may increase levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor, which promotes the growth of brain cells and reduce symptoms of depression.

May lower blood sugar levels. Ginger and cinnamon, specifically, may help to reduce blood sugar levels.

May aid in digestion. Ginger and turmeric have calming properties that can help with indigestion.

AND Its just a warm sweet cup of goodness on a chilly day!

HEALTHY RICH CACAO INGREDIENTS 1 cup light coconut milk (from the can) 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk ½ teaspoon vanilla extract 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder (I use Ghirardelli’s 100% unsweetened cocoa powder) Pinch of sea salt EO’s (your choice of a toothpick dipped in On Guard, cinnamon, black pepper or DDR Prime & swirled in cup!)

HOW TO SPEND LESS TIME FEELING LIKE CRAP

Baby it’s cold outside....and the next thing you know you can’t get warm inside either! Body aches kick in and the throat tingle starts, and before you know it you have taken on a full blown battle for your wellness! Immune function naturally dips during the winter months, our bodies change and defenses go down as some of the stalwarts of our own protection- both sleep and the sun, are interrupted in their routine of our lives. Mix in a dash of stress and a lot more frequent eating of the “less ideal” options, and suddenly you have the perfect storm for the opportunistic bacteria & viruses in and around you to perform an all out takeover!

However, I beg to differ that you have to go down so HARD when you go down. What if you had a toolbox to turn to when the going gets rough, one that could cut DAYS off of your battle and free you up to return to the best of life again? So let’s talk brass tacks, and give you & your family a list of tools and tips to help you not just ride it out, but absolutely conquer your next immune support battle royale!

CHECK YOUR STASH First step to victory is not getting caught off guard. So December is the ideal month to take stock of your essential oil and supplement stash, to make sure that you truly have all that is necessary for whatever may come!

TUNE IN, GET CURIOUS When it comes to respiratory support, my method is to combine knowledge with intuition. Our bodies just KNOW what they need, and from a sensory/somatic aspect, essential oils communicate their abilities to use very openly. I find myself intuitively reaching or craving certain oils in times of need, but also

I love to take a shot glass with just enough water to gargle with, and add a drop or two of OnGuard blend, then gargle. Instantly soothing, and goes right to the source of a potential invasion.

I get asked this question frequently, and the honest answer is simply, whatever age an individual is comfortable swallowing gelcaps.

In my family I have had kids as young as age 4 master the pill swallowing skill. The dose in each capsule is small and reasonable for all ages.

Best of all, you don’t have to WAIT to know or identify what your immune system might be defending you from. Your cells will receive potent messengers helping to awaken a strong immune response. Nature’s Best Chest Rub

This soothing rub is a gentle support when airways feel heavy and breathing is uncomfortable, especially at night!

This rub is soothing for all ages and helps the essential oils penetrate with soothing relief over chest and neck in lasting relief!

SUPPLIES ½ cup coconut oil or shea butter 2 tablespoons beeswax pastilles 25 drops Air-X essential oil 15 drops Copaiba essential oil Glass jar 2 2 oz. tins Alternative essential oil aroma recommendations: Eucalyptus oil, AirX® oil, Breathe, Marjoram, Copaiba, Lavender, Ravenstara

​INSTRUCTIONS Add all ingredients, except for the essential oils, to a glass jar.

Fill a large saucepan with between one and one-and-a-half inches of water and bring just to a boil.

Reduce the heat to medium-low to maintain a simmer, then add the glass jar to the center of the saucepan to melt the ingredients together. Stir every few minutes to combine well.

Once melted, remove from the heat to cool for 5-10 minutes and then add the essential oils to the mixture and combine.

When the essential oils are well incorporated, transfer the mixture into the tins. Store in a dry, cool place.

To use this homemade chest rub, simply dole out a small amount with your knuckle and massage into your chest in gentle circles. Don’t forget to inhale the invigorating aroma slowly and deeply!

Sinus Steamer Soothe Chest Capsule

1-2 drops each oil add hot steamy water.

IINSTRUCTIONS Boil water in a teakettle over medium high heat. Pour the hot water into your mug or cup.

Add essential oils to the water and gently stir with a spoon.

Cup your hands at the top edge of the mug, and gently lean into your hands. Breathe deeply to inhale the steam for five seconds, then back away from the mug and steam for five seconds.

Repeat this process as desired. Use a cloth hand towel as an alternative to make a facial steam tent effect. (steam mug can be microwaved for repeat use if needed)

Frankly This precious oil, beloved for thousands of years, has made it’s way into your home!
