Winter is Coming, There is a part of me that can get caught up in a bit of dread, I will be honest.

Long months ahead of cold weather, the absence of sun, and hectic holidays tend to creep in and try to steal the joy of it all. But that will be TRUE only if I focus on those things. Instead, this year I am planning ahead as the cold temps kick in, setting myself up for a different winter experience with activities I love built into life’s routines, and knowing what supplements, daily habits & relationship connections keep me going strong. I also lean into affirmations and personal goals specific to this time of year. What we focus on, expands. So if winter fills you with dread, then there is an excellent chance it truly will be a dreadful season! If family coming together calls up old wounds and you envision strife...guess what will manifest? Choosing to believe different and act early upon those beliefs will shift you in powerful ways. I believe we were designed for seasons to change, because they force us to challenge ourselves, become new again and grow constantly. There is magic to be had this winter, what is in store for you? Time to ask yourself where you need to grow most, and what does thriving this winter look like for you?

I just want to keep this personal....which is not easy because the more I learn, the more I just want to shout from the rooftops that we are in game changing territory here. I have said this so many times over, but the truth is- this product is a revolutionary model generations ahead of what it available...but also can’t have arrived soon enough, because probiotic therapy as a whole is also generations BEHIND where it needs to be.

I remember years ago at a conference talking with a physician about how we both felt that probiotics are and SHOULD be the frontline of all medical therapies.

That by matching healthy bacteria to antagonist bacteria, to focus on what bacteria lead to which metabolite outcomes to support deficiency, the warfront of the microbiome could be the center where we manage and support genetics, disease research, chronic illness, mystery diagnosis, mental health, metabolic health, longevity, quality of life and immune function. And no, we don’t gain territory with groundbreaking new pharmaceuticals, because they damage the very microbiome that is masterminding the body’s responses. Our microbiome has been fighting intelligently within each of us all along, and yet few have harnessed the powers within and capitalized on this central orchestra of tiny influencers that governs nearly every aspect of our lives: our internal bacterial community.

Truth is, we never should have deviated AWAY from this central battleground within modern medicine. The microbiome has always been the frontline and will always be the frontline. Hippocrates, the father of medicine, without a microscope in sight understood plainly, “The gut is the center of everything.” Heal the gut, all else follows. And yet, we overlook this as we constantly chase external symptoms.

So its a game changer to be able to send in truly skilled troops with a diverse range of skills to do the fighting for us.

Turns out, the struggles we face each and every day from lack of energy, migratory pain, digestive discomfort, reactive immune systems, erratic moods and troubled sleeping patterns...all have one significant common thread that involve cytokines, your vagus nerve and probiotic bacteria and postbiotic metabolites.

But wait...I promised to keep this personal, so I digress. By personal I meant that I was desperate for my 12 year old daughter.

Plagued by chronic fatigue struggles that literally left her depleted to tears day after day with the littlest thing setting her off. Her struggling in the mirror over acne that flared up just as her hormones kicked in.

The therapist we brought on to help steer her beyond early warning signs I picked up on and knew that behavior had to be moved to a healthier response to normal stressors that did not involve self harm.

The mental load of the unanswered WHY’S in my head that kept me up at night as I tried to get ahead of and figure out what was happening to my little girl took it’s toll.

18 months ago a virus swept through the house, but it hit my daughter differently. It was a no-name bug that all the kids got and bounced back from- but she didn’t.

She got worse. It turned into a long battle with serious fatigue. She slept for hours a day and the littlest things made her feel weak. It also affected her mood, of coursewhen you are exhausted you don’t have any energy to spare for responses to life be it happy or stressful.

She did get better over time, but the effects of fatigue and mood imbalance have lingered since. She is SUCH a devoted, helpful, positive and obedient kid, and yet she would bottom out over the smallest issues and go reeling into an emotional level of despair that was deep and hard to pull her back from.

By 8pm, when most of her teenage siblings were just getting a second wind, she was done, clocking out for the day. But if bedtime was not available that early at a function or event, she would hit a point of exhausted desperation very quickly.

I worked with her on supplements, trying to make headway on the energy and mood and trying to do more than just manage it all. On top of that, teenagerhood was creeping in with its hormonal shifts and swings, acne, itchy oily hair, and all the dreaded parts that we have accepted as a rite of passage.

However, sitting in the stands at Convention, learning about the new PB ProBiome and the intentional line up of 29 bacterial strains....something just clicked for me. Listening to the testimonies of those who expressed their awe at how much mood had shifted for them. I was flooded back to that day long ago, that offhand conversation with my doctor friend, and I realized this may be a key I haven’t been using.
