Child Neurology Foundation The Child Neurology Foundation (CNF) is a highly innovative, impact focused nonprofit organization that works to improve the lives of children living with neurologic conditions. Based in Lexington, Kentucky, the organization serves thousands of children and families across all 50 states and in over 70 countries around the world, providing vital resources so that these children with chronic conditions and disabilities can thrive and fulfill their potential. CNF's research grants, family grants, medical symposiums and other programs have positioned the organization as the leader in this field, convening the voices, minds and passions of families, physicians, teachers, caregivers, and researchers to change the conditions of care and the continuum of care for these young lives.

With a mission and services unlike any other, CNF has grown significantly over the last few years and has a plan to continue that growth. With a current budget of $3.7M , the organization is crafting a 3-year strategic plan to activate and expand the child neurology community, thus innovating treatment, increasing accessibility to quality care, and ensuring that no child and family living with a neurologic condition feels alone.

IDEAL CANDIDATE The core values of the CNF (professionalism, integrity, collaboration, and stewardship) are lived throughout every aspect of the organization's operations. In that same vein, CNF has also thoughtfully and intentionally built a culture of philanthropy, where staff at all levels and from every department support and participate in fundraising efforts. The new Director of Development (DOD) will therefore join a supportive and cohesive team of passionate individuals dedicated to CNF's mission to ensure the best quality of care--and the highest quality of life--for every child living with a neurological condition.

Reporting to the Executive Director and working closely with the Chief Operations Officer, the new Director of Development will create and implement a fund development plan to support the organization's short-term and long-term fundraising goals. In order to bolster CNF's individual, foundation, and corporate giving endeavors, the ideal candidate will have superb communication and relationship-building skills. The ideal candidate will be a person who has a proven track record for building effective development teams and fundraising for growth, thus leading the way in helping CNF further achieve its mission and vision.
