Surf spaces o er short-term, unassigned areas to drop in and work. They provide an abundance of choice and are available on a ﬁrst-come, ﬁrst-served basis. A Surf space o ers “hot desking”, as opposed to hoteling with booked reservations.

Workshops are places to gather and meet in an enclosed, conference-style space. They can function as learning spaces, or simply o er a place for private collaboration and teamwork. Workshops can vary in size from small and intimate to large enough to accommodate an organization’s largest meetings and training sessions.

A place to get away and escape distraction, the Retreat o ers individuals a private area to do deep thinking and focused work. Retreats are more secluded than Nests, in that they signal an “o -limits” environment free from interruption.

Intersections are places of community and common space that encourage socializing and connection. They often exist in between two di erent types of workspaces, or can be an overlapping of di erent spaces. Intersections can feel like a café, or a game room, or even a bar or pub.
