A equipe está sempre projetando para o futuro”, afirma Fernando Goldsztein, diretor-presidente da Cyrela, responsável pelo mercado da Regional Sul. O futuro entrou na pauta da empresa em 2011, quando o fundador do grupo, Elie Horn, anunciou em um encontro com os líderes que a preocupação com a perenidade passava a ser prioridade na empresa. “A empresa precisa viver no mínimo mil anos”, disse Horn. A frase passou a integrar a rotina de trabalho diário de todos os colaboradores.

Fundada em 1962, a Cyrela rapidamente se transformou em uma das mais sólidas e admiradas empresas no segmento da construção civil no país. Na categoria Construtora e Incorporadora, foi a mais admirada pelo mercado em 2015, segundo pesquisa da revista Carta Capital (título que conquistou por 11 edições consecutivas até 2013, ficando em segundo lugar em 2014).

Hoje, tem cerca de 5 mil colaboradores. Desde sua fundação, a Cyrela já construiu mais de 56 mil lares para aproximadamente 200 mil clientes. Opera em 67 cidades em 16 estados brasileiros e no Distrito Federal.

Our team is always designing for the future,” says Fernando Goldsztein, CEO of Cyrela Goldsztein, responsible for the Southern Region market.

The future joined the company’s agenda in 2011, when the group’s founder, Elie Horn, announced at a meeting with leaders that the concern for continuity became a priority in the company. “The company needs to live at least one thousand years,” said Horn. The sentence became part of the daily work routine of all employees.

Founded in 1962, Cyrela quickly turned into one of the most solid and admired companies in the construction sector in the country. In the Building and Developing Company category, it was the most admired company in 2015, according to a survey of Carta Capital magazine (a title it has boasted for 11 consecutive editions until 2013, placing second in 2014). Today it has around 5,000 employees.

Os projetos da empresa são pensados para oferecer, além do alto padrão de qualidade construtiva, componentes exclusivos que agreguem benefícios reais para clientes e investidores.

A preocupação de inovar constantemente faz com que a empresa ultrapasse fronteiras na busca de parceiros para criar e executar projetos que tenham impacto no mercado.

Uma dessas parcerias inovadoras foi firmada com o estúdio de design londrino Yoo, que assumiu a tarefa de projetar o OneSixty, em São Paulo, um residencial de luxo instalado em uma das zonas mais nobres da capital paulista.

Outra parceria internacional foi estabelecida com o escritório de design do italiano Paolo Pininfarina, responsável por desenhar marcas como a da escuderia Ferrari. Da união surgiu o Cyrela by Pininfarina, um residencial de alto luxo que será erguido no principal centro de negócios de São Paulo.

Um dos mais inovadores projetos da Cyrela está ganhando forma em Porto Alegre. Trata-se do Complexo de Saúde chamado Medplex. Antes de virar um produto imobiliário, foi idealizado e projetado para servir como referência para a área da saúde, beneficiando tanto os profissionais como seus pacientes, ao reunir diferentes serviços e especialidades em um só empreendimento. “O Medplex tem a alma e o espírito de um hospital. A operação foi toda estruturada para que faça sentido para o profissional da saúde”, explica Renato Castello Branco, consultor técnico da área da saúde para a Cyrela. Desde o seu lançamento, o Medplex foi um sucesso, reconhecido pela ADVB-RS com o Top de Marketing 2015 na categoria Construtora e Incorporadora e pelo Sinduscon Premium nas categorias Empreendimento de Grande Porte e Destaque Mercadológico, do mesmo ano, além de outras premiações, transformando-se no produto mais premiado da história da empresa.

The concern for constantly innovation makes the company exceeds borders in search of partners to create and implement projects that will have an impact in the market.

One of these innovative partnerships was established with the London-based design studio Yoo, which took over the task of designing OneSixty, a luxury residential installed in one of the best areas of São Paulo.

Another international partnership was established with the Italian design firm Paolo Pininfarina, responsible for the design of different brands such as Ferrari Scuderia.

From this marriage, Cyrela by Pininfarina was born: a high luxury residential unit that will be erected in the main business center of São Paulo.

Furthermore, one of the most innovative Cyrela projects is taking shape in Porto Alegre. It is the Health Care Complex called Medplex. Before becoming a real estate product, it was imagined and designed to serve as a reference for health care, benefiting both professionals and their patients, and bringing together different services and specialties in one venture. “Medplex has the soul and the spirit of a hospital. The operation was wholly structured for it to make sense to the doctor,” explains Renato Castello Branco, Cyrela technical consultant for health care. Medplex has been a success since its launching, recognized by ADVB-RS with Top of Marketing 2015 in the Building and Developing Company category and by Sinduscon Premium in Large Size Ventures and Market Highlight categories, in the same year.The Venture also received other awards, becoming the most awarded product in the company’s history .

Por outro lado, temos o desafio permanente de descobrir práticas inovadoras para uma tarefa que está na nossa essência”, explica Gustavo Navarro, diretor de Engenharia da Cyrela Goldsztein.

Nos dois últimos anos, a preocupação com a industrialização da construção rendeu dois reconhecimentos para a empresa, feitos pelo Sinduscon RS. Em 2014, a empresa inovou na gestão da produção dos canteiros com o uso de ferramentas visuais. Protótipos das obras construídos em 4D 20

simulavam o desenvolvimento das obras ao longo do tempo, permitindo aos engenheiros e equipes de construção definir as melhores estratégias para cada etapa do processo. Em 2015, o reconhecimento foi para a gestão das instalações.

A Cyrela definiu padrões de instalações para seus diferentes canteiros de obras, fazendo com que todos pudessem adotar soluções pensadas pela equipe da Cyrela e não pelos projetistas, que são diferentes para cada obra.

A inovação na gestão das obras deverá dar um novo passo em 2016. A Cyrela está desenvolvendo estudos iniciais para adotar a tecnologia BIM (Building Information Modeling, ou Modelagem de Informações na Construção). Com essa ferramenta, será possível criar digitalmente um ou mais modelos virtuais precisos de uma construção, oferecendo suporte ao projeto ao longo de suas fases e permitindo melhor análise e controle do que os atualmente utilizados.

On the other hand, we have the permanent challenge of finding innovative practices for a task that is in our essence,” said Gustavo Navarro, Engineering Director of Cyrela Goldsztein.

In the last two years, the concern for industrialization in construction granted the company two achievements, made by Sinduscon RS. In 2014, the company innovated in the management of production with the use of visual tools. Prototypes built in 4D simulated the development of construction over time, allowing engineers and construction teams to define the best strategies for each stage of the process. In 2015, the recognition was granted to the management of facilities. Cyrela set facilities standards for its various construction sites, so people could adopt solutions thought by the Cyrela team and not by the designers, which are different for each construction.

Innovation in construction management of works should take a new step in 2016. Cyrela is developing initial studies to adopt the BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology. With this tool, it will be possible to digitally create one or more accurate virtual models of a building, supporting the project throughout its phases and allowing better analysis and control than those currently used.

Enseada Lagos m parceria com a Wagnerpar Urbanismo, a Cyrela inovou no segmento de condomínios no litoral gaúcho com o Enseada. Localizado no município de Xangri-Lá, o condomínio de lotes de alto padrão tem arquitetura inspirada no sul da Califórnia, uma das regiões mais ensolaradas do planeta e que ainda guarda marcas de seus colonizadores espanhóis. Todos os lotes ficam de frente para lagos e contam com total segurança e privacidade.

O projeto foi desenvolvido pelo Mario Quintana Escritório de Criação. Há uma predominância do branco e de estruturas que possibilitam o uso da iluminação natural durante o dia.

O arquiteto Quintana explica: “Trabalhamos sob o conceito da arquitetura mexicana e do sul da Califórnia. A volumetria dos prédios em tons brancos dá passo a grandes áreas transparentes, possibilitando uma integração efetiva com os lagos e o paisagismo. O usuário terá a sensação de nobreza já ao entrar no condomínio, graças ao imponente pórtico com grandes vigas. Em seguida, perceberá a leveza e a transparência do prédio do Club House, pensado para que o morador aproveite suas atividades esportivas”.

A grande inovação do Enseada é o seu formato. São nove vilas circundadas por lagos magníficos e jardins exuberantes, numa área total de 287 mil m² onde nenhum terreno possui fundos para outro. O condomínio ainda oferece uma completa infraestrutura para a prática de esportes, lazer e recreação, além de segurança. Seus 565 lotes foram vendidos em apenas 48 horas após o lançamento em 2009.

Enseada Lagos n partnership with Wagnerpar Urbanismo, Cyrela broke new grounds in the segment of houses complex in the coast of Rio Grande do Sul with its Enseada development.

Located in the municipality of Xangri-lá, the architecture of the high standard lots complex is inspired by Southern California landscape, one of the sunniest regions of the world which still keeps signs of their Spanish colonizers. Every lot faces the lakes and has total security and privacy.

The project was developed by Mario Quintana Escritório de Criação. There is a predominance of white color and structures that enable the use of natural lighting during the day. Architect Quintana explains: “We are working under the concept of Mexican architecture and Southern California.

Users will have the feeling of nobility when entering the complex, thanks to an imposing portico with large beams. Cyrela By Pininfarina yrela innovated by entering into an international partnership with the Italian design studio Pininfarina to launch a residential development in the surrounding areas of Avenida Brigadeiro Faria Lima, in São Paulo. The building, with an aerodynamic shape facade, smooth curves and triangular balconies, will be one of the most luxurious in São Paulo.

The building will be a high-end product and is aimed at a very demanding public profile: couples and single executives who work in the region. On the ground floor there will be a large recreation area, connected to the gardens. At the launching of the project, Paolo Pininfarina justified his daring approach on designing the project in partnership with Cyrela: “Architecture must reflect the future. Boldness is part of creation.”

Studio Pininfarina is responsible for the design of many brands and products around the world. One Sixty a união da Cyrela com o estúdio de design londrino Yoo, fundado por John Hitchcox e Philippe Starck, nasceu o One Sixty, um residencial de luxo no Itaim Bibi, em São Paulo, lançado em outubro de 2015. O empreendimento tem uma única torre, com 55 apartamentos, localizado em uma das mais nobres zonas da capital paulista.

Its mirrored facade will reflect the lines of Castelo Batel, an architectural relic built in the 1920s which nowadays, after renovated, works as an event center. It is one of the main landmarks of Curitiba.

Doc Castelo Batel is conceived and designed to offer comfort and convenience for those who work in health care and to the users of these services. The same building will host offices of different specialties, treatment rooms, laboratories, exam clinics and other medical services, a complete mix available to the people of Curitiba. Patients can have their appointments, make their exams and receive their diagnosis at the same location.

The common areas of Doc Castelo Batel are in accordance with RDC-50, a normative resolution of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), federal government agency responsible for overseeing health facilities. The spaces for elevators, doors and hallways are adapted for the flow of stretchers, there are specific areas to collect medical waste and public toilets on every floor.

Urban Office & Hotel om o lançamento do Urban Office & Hotel, a Cyrela deu início a uma nova era no segmento de investimentos imobiliários em Curitiba. O empreendimento é um mixed-use, reunindo no mesmo endereço salas comerciais e um confortável complexo hoteleiro. O Urban vai possibilitar que visitantes usem os espaços e serviços do Office e se hospedem no Hotel, evitando o estresse do deslocamento do trânsito.

A seguir, Ricardo Jornada, Diretor de Incorporação e Novos Negócios da Cyrela Goldsztein, fala sobre cenários e projeções para os próximos anos, além do posicionamento da incorporadora, centrado em criatividade e inovação.

Quando a Cyrela coloca um produto no mercado, qual o seu objetivo? No que a empresa foca?

Antes de iniciar um novo projeto, a pergunta que norteia os trabalhos desde os primeiros esboços é: qual o papel de uma incorporadora em uma cidade? Sempre pensamos em como um lançamento pode impactar positivamente a região onde se insere.

Nós temos a responsabilidade com a construção de um ambiente agradável para toda a comunidade e esse é um aspecto importante na concepção de novos produtos.

Outros fatores econômicos e culturais são fundamentais na criação. Temos que entender que a experiência das pessoas muda: as famílias mudam, o transporte público muda, as ruas, as esquinas, as casas mudam, ganham novos con60

ceitos. Os nichos em que se organiza a sociedade mudam, e nós temos que acompanhar essas atualizações o tempo todo.

das na empresa no momento de elaborar um projeto?

A relação com a cidade e com os bairros onde empreendemos é um cuidado que está presente em todos os nossos projetos. Medidas para minimizar e compensar impactos ambientais, reciclagem de materiais, economia de energia e água, criação de parques e áreas de lazer que beneficiam a população em geral fazem parte da prática da Cyrela. Essas ações tornam a cidade mais agradável, com melhor qualidade de vida, além de valorizar nossos projetos e as regiões onde eles estão inseridos.

A Cyrela se destaca no mercado por seu espírito inovador. Quais são as grandes inovações da empresa?

O mercado da Região Sul é um dos mais competitivos do Brasil, com grandes empresas atuando nele. Mas temos limitações estruturais, como população e renda. Há

um teto, com alguma flexibilidade, mas que impõe um limite de preço que pode ser estipulado. Os nichos são menores, e dentro desse cenário, é desafiador inovar. Surgem muitas ideias, muitas propostas, mas elas precisam se estabelecer como projetos a partir de sua viabilidade comercial. O setor condo-hotéis, por exemplo, é de um campo complexo de investimento, por isso buscamos parceiros para viabilizar empreendimentos que contemplam hotel e office, e eles foram sucesso de vendas. Depois, apostamos no primeiro Back to Back do Brasil, que reúne unidades residenciais e comerciais, outro grande sucesso. Assim, é permanente esse espírito da Cyrela de buscar formas de entender o mercado, de oferecer novidades e apresentar possibilidades não exploradas. Isso com o objetivo final de sempre trabalhar em busca da satisfação do cliente, que é o nosso foco permanente.

A Cyrela tem apostado em nichos do mercado. Esse posicionamento é um exemplo de inovação?

Sim, isso é um bom exemplo do nosso espírito inovador. O mercado não é um ente único. É uma soma de diversos nichos. Em algumas vezes, dentro de cada nicho existem outros segmentos, como é o caso da área residencial: é possível investir em empreendimentos para solteiros ou para casais, para classe A ou para a classe C. Agora, por exemplo, estamos analisando um projeto para o segmento jurídico. Ao focar em nichos, há o benefício de atuar sozinho, criando algo específico para um público que oferece demanda. O atendimento desses nichos é uma ótima forma de gerar riquezas para a empresa e para toda a sociedade.

Quais os planos para 2016?

Estamos preparando 2016 desde 2015, pois sabemos que deve ser um ano difícil. Temos uma crise de insegurança institucional, gerada por uma crise política que afeta também o desempenho da economia. Assim, temos hoje um cenário de incertezas. E nesse cenário, nossos projetos estão andando, estão sendo trabalhados em diferentes estágios de planejamento e realização. O que precisamos é entender em que conjuntura iremos executá-los. Precisamos que nossos clientes tenham segurança para fazer seus financiamentos, e para isso criamos novas formas de facilitar o investimento, de acordo com o público-alvo. Temos dois caminhos: ou haverá uma melhora do cenário e vamos crescer ou, se o ano for ruim, vamos trabalhar para manter nosso market share.

A imponência da fachada se deve a algumas características do estilo neoclássico, como simetria, tons pastel, linhas retas, molduras e gradis, que tornam o empreendimento atemporal”. Os principais diferenciais do prédio são os banheiros de serviço (um por andar), na área externa dos apartamento, e a criação do Espaço Anonymus Gourmet, planejado e assinado pelo jornalista especialista em gastronomia, José Antônio Pinheiro Machado. Clássico Petrópolis ith a neoclassical-inspired design, the building is located on Avenida Alegrete, in the heart of the Petropolis neighborhood. The project was conceived to be classic and contemporary at the same time, with unique design and inspired by an always current artistic and architectural style. The result is spacious apartments, with rooms designed to express a personality and a way of living.

The architectural design is by Baldasso&Loeff firm. The architect Simone Baldasso explains the concept: “The classic architectural works were the inspiration for this project, as they stand out and maintain finesse even over time. The grandeur of the façade is due to some characteristics of the neoclassical style, such as symmetry, pastel shades, straight lines, frames and fences, which make the project timeless.” The main exclusive features of the building are the service bathrooms (one per floor), in the outer area of the apartment, and the creation of the Anonymus Gourmet Space, planned and signed by the well-known gastronomy expert, José Antônio Pinheiro Machado. The recreational structure includes a pool with sundeck, fitness room and Kids Space. Each parking space will be equipped with a Cabinet Exclusive, a space for residents to organize and store everything they need.

O time do Y002, responsável por projetar hotéis e resorts em diferentes países do mundo usando a essência da criatividade que está por trás da marca YOO desde o seu surgimento, em 1999, considera que cada hotel é uma expressão individual das almas locais. Um hotel sempre será um destino, nunca apenas um ponto de passagem para outro local. Ao difundir seus conceitos pelo mundo, a YOO criou o que Starck chama de “the smart tribe”, ou o jeito YOO de viver.

Da união da Cyrela com o YOO2 surgirá um hotel na Rua Lucas de Oliveira esquina com a Rua Fabrício Pillar, no bairro Mont’Serrat, uma das áreas mais nobres de Porto Alegre, próximo à movimentação do bairro Moinhos de Vento e dos restaurantes, cafés e lojas da Rua Padre Chagas. Nova Carlos Gomes yrela is preparing the launch of two residential developments in one of the fastest-growing areas in Porto Alegre, Nova Carlos Gomes. There will be two buildings destined for families to live in, with social and leisure areas.

The buildings will face Terceira Perimetral, next to Axis Nova Carlos Gomes, the first back-to-back development in Brazil, and to Porto Alegre Incomparável, a building that provides residents with the most beautiful sunset in the city - two Cyrela developments with record sales.

The proximity to Terceira Perimetral allows for travels through Avenida Carlos Gomes, Avenida Ipiranga and Avenida Protásio Alves, making access to people who need to work or study in several areas of Porto Alegre much easier.

A arquiteta Simone Baldasso, do escritório Baldasso&Loeff, conta que o terreno amplo de esquina proporcionou a criação de um projeto arrojado, com o prédio no formato de um L. “Será possível aproveitar a esquina como uma grande área de praça que destaca o prédio e as lojas do térreo e os interliga ao espaço urbano do entorno. Esta leitura resultou em uma grande integração e amplitude dos espaços propostos”, afirma. O prédio terá espaço para consultórios, com portas largas e corredores amplos, facilitando o deslocamento de macas e cadeiras de rodas. Todas as áreas condominiais do empreendimento serão construídas de acordo com as normas de segurança, acessibilidade e higiene da Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (Anvisa), órgão do governo federal responsável por fiscalizar as instalações de saúde no país. No pavimento térreo, com acesso diferenciado, serão instaladas lojas, clínicas e laboratórios de exames. Quando estiver em atividade, o Medplex Eixo Norte será um centro de referência de saúde instalado em um importante eixo de Porto Alegre por onde circulam milhares de pessoas todos os dias.

All condominium areas of the project will be built according to the safety, accessibility and hygiene standards of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa), the federal government agency responsible for overseeing the health care facilities in the country. In another tower, there will be the commercial area, where shops will be installed, as well as clinics and laboratories for medical tests. When in operation, the Medplex Northern Axis will be a health care reference center located in a major hub of Porto Alegre, where thousands of people circulate every day.

Complexo cultural que fica em Baku, capital do Azerbaijão, foi projetado pelo respeitado escritório de arquitetura da iraquiana Zaha Hadid e conta com 100 mil m², 8 andares e uma estrutura que inclui auditório, museu, biblioteca e estacionamento subterrâneo.

Imponente e impactante, o centro tem desenho fluido e repleto de curvas, convidando para uma visita ao seu interior amplo e iluminado. A construção serpenteia sobre o terreno com suas ondas, dobras, sombras e cor. É puro encantamento. O ousado projeto, que venceu em 2014 o prêmio Design of the Year na categoria design de museu, respeita a topografia do terreno e valoriza a paisagem ao seu redor. O design é tão

orgânico que ele parece ser parte do traçado natural da praça onde foi erguido.

O ponto de partida foi questionar como fazer um prédio público dentro de um parque público e criar um espaço único, mesclando as linhas entre o interno e o externo, chão e terra. Construído por um time multidisciplinar, o projeto foi criado por diferentes mídias: desenhos manuais, maquetes e criações no computador foram aplicados para tornar a obra eficiente e racional.

Nas palavras da arquiteta Zaha Hadid, o lugar foi pensado “para abraçar, acolher e direcionar os visitantes através de seus diferentes níveis”. Sua beleza contemporânea contrasta com a arquitetura austera dominante no Azerbaijão, que até 1991 fazia parte da União Soviética – o Heydar Aliyev abraça e brinda o futuro, levando frescor aos moradores e visitantes de Baku.

Fluidity, boldness and innovation in architecture hen we think of innovation in architecture, the modern Heydar Aliyev Center comes to mind.

A cultural complex located in Baku, capital of Azerbaijan, it was designed by the respected Iraqi architecture firm Zaha Hadid and has an area of 100,000 square meters, 8 floors and a structure that includes an auditorium, a museum, a library and underground parking. Imposing and impressive, the center has a fluid design and is full of curves, inviting for a visit to its large and bright interior. The building meanders on the ground with its waves, bends, shadows and color. It is pure enchantment.

The ambitious project, which won in 2014 the Design of the Year award in the museum design category, respects the topography of the land and values the landscape around it. The design is so organic that it seems to be part of the natural layout of the square where it was erected.

The starting point was to question how to make a public building inside a public park and create a unique space, blending the lines between internal and external space, ground and land. Built by a multidisciplinary team, the project was created using different media: manual drawings, models and computer creations were applied to make the work efficient and rational.

In the words of architect Zaha Hadid, the place was thought of “to embrace, welcome and guide visitors through its different levels.” Its contemporary beauty contrasts with the dominant austere architecture in Azerbaijan, which until 1991 was part of the Soviet Union – the Heydar Aliyev embraces and toasts to the future, offering freshness to the residents and visitors of Baku.

A criativa campanha, criada pela agência de publicidade Talent francesa, traz fotos com títulos como “A batata ridícula”, “A cenoura feia”, “A laranja horrível”, “A maçã grotesca”. Tudo com muito bom humor, mas criando a consciência de que esses alimentos podem e devem ser consumidos. Sinduscon Premium or the second consecutive year, Cyrela was acknowledged in 2015 as the Sinduscon Premium Company of the Year. The title represents the performance of the company by presenting its cases in different categories that are part of the award. In the last edition, Cyrela stood out with gold and silver medals in five of the seven existing categories, which are: Large-Sized Development (gold for Axis Nova Carlos Gomes, the first Back to Back of Brazil); Medium-Sized Development (gold for 925 Independência); Market innovation (gold for Axis Nova Carlos Gomes, the first Back to Back of Brazil); Technological Innovation (silver for lean production process); Internal Processes Innovation (gold for client management cycle and silver for client satisfaction).

Cyrela inova também ao se engajar em causas sociais que são importantes para seus clientes e para a comunidade, como a manutenção de bons hábitos de saúde. Por isso, acompanhando a tendência das corridas de rua nas grandes cidades, apoia desde 2010, em parceria com a Run Sports, a Cyrela Goldsztein POA Night Run. A prova ganha novos corredores a cada edição. Em 2015, as duas edições reuniram cerca de 8 mil atletas, que participaram das provas de 3 km, 5 km e 10 km nas versões masculina e feminina. Na primeira edição de 2016, cerca de 4 mil pessoas correram. A POA Night Run tem largada no Anfiteatro Pôr do Sol e os competidores correm junto ao Guaíba, numa noite de muito suor, música, luzes e festa.

A empresa também participa da Corrida pela Vida, promovida pelo Instituto do Câncer Infantil (uma instituição que é referência no Rio Grande do Sul na assistência e no tratamento de crianças e adolescentes vítimas do câncer), que no ano passado chegou a sua 22ª edição em Porto Alegre. É uma das provas mais tradicionais do Estado. São milhares de jovens e adultos mobilizados num evento em prol da luta contra o câncer.

Hand in hand with the community yrela also innovates by engaging in social causes that are important to its customers and the community, such as maintaining good health habits. Therefore, following the trend of road running events in major cities, it has been supporting since 2010 the Cyrela Goldsztein POA Night Run, in partnership with Run Sports. The event gets new runners every edition. In 2015, the two yearly editions gathered about 8,000 athletes who participated in the 3km, 5km and 10km runs, for both men and women. In the first edition in 2016, about 4,000 people participated. POA Night Run starts at Anfiteatro Pôr do Sol and competitors run along the Guaíba River, enjoying the beautiful landscape during the competition. The company also participates in Corrida pela Vida, promoted by the Children’s Cancer Institute (a major NGO, responsible for diagnosing and treating children and teenagers with cancer in Rio Grande do Sul). Last year the event reached its 22th edition in Porto Alegre, being one of the most traditional events in the state. Thousands of young people and adults mobilized, looking forward to support the building of a better tomorrow. That is what the event and Cyrela are all about.

Instituto Cyrela Instituto Cyrela é o responsável por colocar em prática a política social do grupo. Em atividade desde 2011, tem a responsabilidade de fazer investimentos de tal forma que a sociedade e a empresa se beneficiem simultaneamente das ações mantidas pela instituição.

“A inovação da Cyrela é criar e manter um instituto social com uma estrutura consolidada e uma atuação transparente. Não existe no segmento da construção civil uma proposta como a nossa”, explica Lucas Nichele de Moura, analista de Responsabilidade Social do Instituto Cyrela. Todos os anos, a empresa destina 1% do seu lucro líquido para o instituto para ser usado em obras e ações sociais junto a entidades civis e organizações não governamentais. Só em 2015 esse valor chegou aos R$ 6 milhões.

Em 2015, o Instituto Cyrela lançou um programa experimental que deverá ser permanente a partir de 2016. Trata-se do Programa Renovação, que beneficiou uma entidade no Rio Grande do Sul. O programa prevê o financiamento de reformas físicas em instituições sociais e escolas públicas municipais ou estaduais situadas nas principais cidades brasileiras onde a Cyrela atua. As instituições são selecionadas a partir de um edital, que conta com o apoio técnico do Instituto para o Desenvolvimento do Investimento Social (IDIS).

Este ano, o Educandário São João Batista recebeu R$ 20 mil para ampliar uma sala onde as mães esperam pelos filhos em atendimento. O educandário fica no bairro Ipanema, na Zona Sul de Porto Alegre, e mantém um serviço gratuito para a reabilitação de crianças e jovens com deficiências físicas múltiplas. A outra instituição selecionada no Brasil foi a ONG Gestos, no Recife, que trabalha com portadores do vírus da AIDS. A Gestos aproveitou a verba para montar um bazar que vai sustentar os trabalhos da entidade.

Além do Renovação, o Instituto Cyrela mantém outros dois programas próprios visando ao público externo. O programa Construindo Profissionais capacita profissionalmente 94

jovens e adultos para trabalhar no setor da construção civil, e o programa Construindo Pessoas oferece aulas de alfabetização para operários, seus familiares e amigos, com o objetivo de contribuir para a erradicação do analfabetismo.

Moura destaca que o Instituto Cyrela também se preocupa em desenvolver um “voluntariado corporativo”, atuando para que os funcionários do grupo participem como voluntários de projetos e ações sociais. “Além do exercício da cidadania, faz bem para o clima interno da empresa”, explica.

O programa Dia da Ação Voluntária (DAV), mantido pelo instituto, é um exemplo do clima de voluntariado que a Cyrela quer criar e manter no seu ambiente. Em conjunto com os colaboradores, o instituto elege uma instituição e desenvolve um grande mutirão de melhorias neste lugar no último sábado de agosto. “Fazemos no último sábado de agosto, pois é a data mais próxima do 28/8, Dia Nacional do Voluntário”, cita Moura. No DAV os colaboradores se voluntariam para participar do mutirão e são separados por interesse de atuação (oficinas, obras, apoio, etc.). “É um dia de trabalho que doamos para contribuir com a melhoria de alguma instituição. Em 2015 tivemos 617 voluntários no DAV em oito capitais brasileiras. Nosso maior DAV desde a fundação do Instituto”, cita.

Instituto Cyrela Instituto Cyrela is responsible for putting into practice the social policy of the group. In business since 2011, it has the responsibility to make investments so that society and the company benefit simultaneously from the actions held by the institution. “Innovation at Cyrela is to create and maintain a social institute with a consolidated structure and transparent operation. There is no proposal in the construction industry like ours,” explains Lucas Nichele de Moura, Social Responsibility analyst at Instituto Cyrela. Every year, the company allocates 1% of its net profit for the institute, to be used in social works and actions with civil entities and non-governmental organizations. In 2015 this amount reached BRL 6 million.

In 2015, Instituto Cyrela launched an experimental program that should be permanent from 2016. It is the Renovation Program, which benefited an entity in Rio Grande do Sul. The program provides funding for physical renovations in social institutions and public schools located in major Brazilian cities where Cyrela operates.

The institutions are selected from a public notice, which has the support of the Institute for the Development of Social Investment (IDIS).

This year, Educandário São João Batista received BRL 20,000 to improve its amenities. The institution is located in the Ipanema neighborhood, in the Southern district of Porto Alegre, and maintains a free service for the rehabilitation of children and young people with multiple disabilities. The other institution selected in Brazil was the NGO Gestos, which works with HIV carriers in Recife. Gestos used the funding to set up a bazaar that will support the work of the entity.

In addition to Renovation, Instituto Cyrela maintains two own programs aimed at the general public. The Building Professionals program professionally trains adults and young people to work in the construction industry. Besides that, the Building People program offers literacy classes for workers, their family members and friends, in order to contribute to the eradication of illiteracy. Moura points out that Instituto Cyrela is also concerned to develop “corporative volunteering”, carrying out actions so that the group’s employees participate as volunteers in social projects and actions. “In addition to the exercise of citizenship, it is good for the workplace environment of the company,” he explains.

The Volunteer Action Day (DAV) program, supported by the institute, is an example of voluntary climate that Cyrela wishes to create and maintain in its business environment.

With the employees, the institute chooses an institution and develops a great collective effort for improvements in this place in the last Saturday of August. “We do it in the last Saturday of August, as it is the closest date to August 28, National Volunteer Day,” Moura mentions. In the DAV employees volunteer to participate in the collective effort and are separated by their interests (workshops, construction work, support, etc.). “It’s a working day we donate to contribute to the improvement of an institution. In 2015 we had 617 volunteers in the DAV in eight Brazilian capital cities.

It was our largest DAV since the founding of the Institute,” quotes.

THE PURPOSE OF INSTITUTO CYRELA Educating for work is our main focus. We believe that qualified people are masters of their present and their future.

Educating for citizenship is also crucial. Without ethical and committed citizens we will not build the society we all want.

Stimulating a sense of citizenship in all of our employees and their family members is one of our strategic objectives.

The volunteer program is our tool for this purpose.

Supporting sustainable development of the cities where we operate and the communities close to our projects is also part of our mission.
