MANAGEENGINE LEVERAGES MICROSOFT SCCM ManageEngine launched Patch Connect Plus, its software that uses Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) to manage patches for third-party applications. The new product eliminates all system vulnerabilities present in the network by using an organization’s existing SCCM infrastructure to perform updates required for non-Microsoft applications. “Patch Connect Plus lets Microsoft SCCM users completely automate the management of non-Microsoft updates using their existing infrastructure and console,” said Mathivanan Venkatachalam, director of product management for Patch Connect Plus at ManageEngine.

MIDDLE EAST TURNS TO FIBER FOR TOMORROW’S BANDWIDTH DEMANDS

“We’ve entered a new industrial revolution: one that is dramatically changing all facets of our lives. The combination of fiber and wireless technology will meet the needs for today’s and tomorrow’s expanding bandwidth demands,” said Ehab Kanary, vice president of Enterprise, Middle East and Africa. “The new CommScope is better positioned to solve more wired and wireless network challenges through a convergence of network technology.” CommScope will highlight its latest solutions to meet the continuous growth of bandwidth needs: • As the number of connected devices grows, the location of these devices is becoming more important. CommScope’s automated infrastructure management (AIM) system knows exactly what is connected, how it is connected and where it is located. The integrated hardware and software platform manages the entire physical layer. Without AIM to identify outages, it is akin to finding the needle in the proverbial haystack.
