Carbon Black to Launch Global Incident Response Threat Report At GISEC 2019, Carbon Black will launch its third Global Incident Response Threat Report. Aggregating qualitative and quantitative input from 40 Carbon Black IR partners, this report aims to offer actionable intelligence for business and technology leaders, fuelled by analysis of the newest threats and expert insights on how to stop them. Mimecast to make it Big this GISEC What did you learn from last year’s event and what are you hoping to achieve by participating at GISEC 2019? There is still apprehension when it comes to migrating to cloud, with many organisations being concerned about security. This year, the interest in cloud is likely to increase with the likes of Microsoft putting down data centres in the region. But concerns around security will remain. We plan to use this GISEC to educate visitors about the risks that do exist and how to overcome these challenges by implementing layered security and having a cyber resilience strategy to help you recover in the event of an attack. Why is it important for you to be at the show and what technologies and solutions are you exhibiting? Mimecast will introduce attendees to research from our recently launched Threat Centre, which is a group of cybersecurity experts focused on providing threat intelligence that helps organisations convert threat information into value for the business. The mission of the Threat Centre is to provide customers with actionable insight that can be used to better manage and prioritise today’s evolving threats. Mimecast will be presenting on the main stage on 2nd April, about converting threat intel into cyber resilience. We will also be offering demos or our new web security service. The cloud-based service is designed to guard against malicious activity initiated by user action or malware while blocking access to websites deemed unsafe or inappropriate based on each organisation’s policies. From a geographical perspective, we have made significant headway in Dubai but there is still a lot of opportunity in the UAE and the rest of the Gulf region. The targeted countries include Cambodia, Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, Philippines, Malaysia, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, the United States, and the United Kingdom. FireEye has seen multiple intrusions in the automotive industry in Europe over the past few years, mainly from Chinese attackers. Additional activity has been seen from North Korea and Vietnam. State-sponsored threat actors aim to steal information from automotive manufacturers such as proprietary research, development data, and intellectual property that could provide an economic or competitive advantage.
