End to End Security is Key
D
arkMatter, an international cyber security firm with headquarters in the UAE, recently announced partnering for the introduction of an advanced voice and chat application to facilitate a highly secure communication environment for government agencies and commercial entities in the region. The application delivers secure voice and chat communications utilising iOS and Android operating systems, offering tap-proof capabilities, protecting the device from third-party attacks and ensuring that no backdoors are pres-
ent. While providing end-to-end secure communications, based on the latest advancements in cryptography and network protocols, the voice and chat application also features state-of-theart back-end infrastructure to allow secure communications. Addressing delegates at GISEC later this morning, DarkMatter Chief Executive Officer, Faisal Al Bannai will discuss the topic of building the optimum framework required to give an organisation a robust cyber security strategy, which extends to the provision of end-to-end security. “Our approach at DarkMatter involves an end-to-end outlook to cyber
security, incorporating servers and core networking components, through to transportation layers and end-user devices,” says Faisal Al Bannai. “We need to ensure the protection of data both at rest as well as in-transit, though there also has to be an added effort in raising awareness amongst technology users as they may be the inadvertent sources of cyber security breaches through lack of awareness.” DarkMatter’s Harshul Joshi, Eric Eifert, and Dimitrios Sarris are also participating in today’s event programme. Please refer to the schedule to confirm when and where you can hear them speak.
Fidelis is showcasing its end to end security solutions at the GISEC 2016. “There are a lot of different security solutions that people put in a stack but the goal is to have a limited number of systems because it makes integration easier and also helps the cyber security analysts to concentrate on one pane of glass rather than many screens,” says Fidelis Cybersecurity Chief Cyber Strategist, Jim Jaeger. Our value proposition for end to end security is that we look into 2 perspectives and go beyond the other players. We look at all the ports and the portals and we also look at the entire lifecycle of threat from attack to lateral movement in network to collecting the data and staging it. We bring the network and the endpoint together in a single frame,” adds Jim.
UNLOCKING THE WORLD OF SECURITY The theme for StarLink this year is ‘Cybersecurity Unlocked:Learn, Adapt, Defend.“It is our goal to accelerate the growth of market penetration, to accelerate revenue growth for vendors, to accelerate channel breadth development and the way to do that is to continue the typical distribution but also to provide direct touch of market awareness creation and opportunity creation. On the ground local support in every country we operate is our key distinguishing factor from our competitors.” said Avinash Advani, Vice President, StarLink.
