Fanestil Packing Company started in 1942 by E.E. Fanestil and his brother, C.L. Fanestil, with fourteen employees. The company was located on the banks of the Cottonwood River south of Emporia, KS. After surviving eighty years of flooding, the company has relocated to 4700 West Highway 50, west of Emporia, in a brand-new facility out of the flood plain.

In the beginning, the company was a slaughter facility processing approximately 10,000 cattle, 20,000 hogs and producing 350,000 pounds of sausage products a year. Today Fanestil Meats produces millions of pounds of fresh & cooked/smoked meat products that are sold locally & nationally.

Fanestil Meats has been, and is still best known for their signature product, PARTY TIME HAM! There is a longtime motto in the company: “YOU DON’T MESS WITH PARTY TIME HAM!”

The deli-style Party Time Ham has created quite the following. It is 98% lean pork, with a light smoky flavor, dipped in caramel covering. The name originated from the rich aroma, firm texture, and incredible flavor, having a party in your mouth!

Fanestil products may be purchased in our retail market, Fanestil Meats Fresh Local Market, 4700 West Highway 50, Emporia, KS, as well as delivered to regional grocery stores from our route trucks.
