SEMA SHOW 2024
From November 5 to 7, we were representing Ensenada at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, one of the most influential events in the global automotive industry. During these days, we promoted the qualified talent of our region, highlightingthespecializedmanufacturing capacity and positioning Ensenada as a strategic destination for innovation and developmentintheautomotivesector.
Our participation focused on connecting Ensenadawithopportunities
strategic, strengthening key ties and exploring alliances that boost the industrial and technological growth of the region. This event not only allowed us to showcase the competitive advantages of our city, but also to reaffirm its relevance ontheglobalautomotivemap.
Representing Ensenada EDC were Mario A. Peregrina, President, and Ushuaia Zepeda, Promoter, who played a key role in promoting our region to industry leaders andexperts.
MEDICA TRADE FAIR
From November 11 to 13, we participated in MEDICA 2024, in Düsseldorf, Germany, as part of ProBaja Trade & Investment, promoting Ensenada as a strategic destination for manufacturing and innovationinthemedicalsector. Weheldmeetingswithleadingcompanies from countries such as France, Germany, Canada, the United States, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Korea, Japan, and China, exploring opportunities to strengthen binational and global collaboration.
Atourbooth,weorganizedaMeet&Greet wherewesharedtheessenceofEnsenada with Santo Tomás wines, tequila, and Mexican sweets, creating meaningful connections and highlighting the richness ofourregion.
Representing Ensenada EDC were Mario A. Peregrina, President, and Kennya Vargas, Director, who led the promotion of Ensenada as a key player in the development of the international medical sector.
MEETINGS
MEXICAN CONSULATE IN LAS VEGAS
During our visit to the Mexican Consulate in Las Vegas, we had the opportunity to present the potential of the business ecosystem in Ensenada and the work we do as a business organization. In addition, we explored possible strategic alliances withcommercialchamberstostrengthenbinational collaboration. We thank Deputy Consul Jeremías Guzmán and the Head of Economic Affairs, Daniel Sánchez, for their warm welcome. Ushuaia Zepeda, Promoter,attendedonbehalfofEnsenadaEDC.
CLEVER TINY HOMES
We visited Clever Tiny Homes, part of the Ensenada EDC membership, to learn about the remarkable growth they have achieved in the last year. Compared to last year, today their team has grown by 140% During this visit, we had the opportunity to learn about their expansion and development projects in new areas, which reflect their continued commitment to innovation and business progress. ThevisitwasattendedbyUshuaiaZepeda,Promoter of Ensenada EDC; Enrique Rodríguez, Representative ofSEI;andEng.AlfredoGarcía,fromIVEMSA.
PROSPECT
This month we welcomed a company specialized in the distribution of art and decoration materials, to whom we presented various business opportunities in Ensenada Grupo LOGIX, focusing on logistics issues, and Palafox & Asociados, addressing legal aspects, participated in the meeting. Representing Ensenada EDC were Mario A Peregrina, President; Ushuaia Zepeda, Promoter; and José López, Jaime PalafoxandJesúsSalas,Partners.
INTERNATIONAL AGENDAS
IRELAND NETHERLANDS
On November 7 and 8, Mario A. Peregrina, president of Ensenada EDC, participated in theMexico-IrelandTradeMissiontoexplore collaborations in food, manufacturing and legal services, strengthening investment between both countries. Leading companies such as Kerry Group and the Ireland Enterprise agency were visited, as well as the Sabanero cheese brand, which is interested in the Mexican market. The agenda included a visit to a heating company and a meeting with the McCann & Fitzgerald law firm to facilitate investments.
Following the MEDICA event in Germany, we visited the Netherlands, where we attended, in collaboration with the Government of the State of Baja California and Mexicali EDC, a meeting in Eindhoven with a company in the semiconductor sector. During the meeting, we presented the business opportunities that Baja California offers for the manufacturing of its products. At the end, we had the opportunitytotakeatourofitsplant.

MASTER IN VITICULTURE AND WINE BUSINESS: CEVIT
We attended the launch of the new Master's Degree in Viticulture and Wine Business at CETYS University Campus Ensenada. The event brought together experts and professionals from the wine sectortopresentthiseducationalprogram that combines technical knowledge and business strategies. We congratulate CETYS for this important step that will boost the development of talent and the growth of the industry in our region. Kennya Vargas, Director of Ensenada EDC, waspresent.
BAJA INNOVATION DAY
On November 21, we attended Baja Innovation Day 2024 at the Tijuana Trade Center, organized by the Secretariat of Economy and Innovation and ProBaja Trade&Investment. The event brought together experts to discuss innovation and opportunities in B.C. Two key sessions were held: Innovation Forums on talent, capital raising, and business strategies, and Keynote Conferences on artificial intelligence, creative industries, and sustainability. Panelists from companies such as Google, Siemens, and IBM participated. Kennya Vargas and Ushuaia ZepedafromEnsenadaEDCattended.
