We are pleased to present a new edition of our newsletter, where we share the key activities and initiatives carried out to strengthen Ensenada’s economicdevelopmentandreinforceitspositiononthe internationalstage.

During this period, we advanced an active agenda of economic promotion and business outreach that included strategic missions to the United States, Canada, and Germany, as well as participation in globally recognized events such as Hannover Messe 2026 and Sweets & Snacks Expo. These efforts allowed us to showcase Ensenada’s strengths in key sectors including advanced manufacturing, technology, logistics, life sciences, aquaculture, and food and beverage production, while creating new opportunities forcollaborationandinvestment.

We also continued strengthening our relationships with the local business community through business retention visits, meetings with established companies, and tours for investment prospects interested in experiencing firsthand the industrial ecosystem and competitiveadvantagesthatEnsenadahastooffer.

This edition reflects the collaborative work of our members, partners, and supporting institutions, whose commitment continues to create new opportunities for Ensenada We appreciate your continued support and invite you to explore the activities and achievements featuredinthisissue.

COMPANY VISITS

As part of our business retention and engagement agenda in Ensenada, we conducted several visits to strategic companies in the region, in coordination with the State Secretariat of Economy and Innovation, with the aim of strengthening dialogue with the industry and learning about their projects, capabilities,andgrowthopportunities.

April17—AugenOpticians

We visited Augen Ópticos, a company specializing in optical technology and advanced manufacturing. During the tour, we learned about their capabilities in optical design, lens production, and specialized machinery. We thank Gaspar Montaño, Alfonso Grijalva, and Melisa Osunafortheirhospitality.KennyaVargas and Axl Silva participated on behalf of EnsenadaEDC.

April30—MTIofBaja,Inc.

We conducted a follow-up visit to MTI de Baja, Inc., a company specializing in precision machining and assembly for the aerospace industry. During the meeting, we learned about their processes,capabilities,andgrowthvision. Axl Silva represented Ensenada EDC, and ArturoHerrerarepresentedSEI.

30April—BC-Tags

We visited BC-Tags, a company focused onlabelingsolutionsandRFIDtechnology for logistics optimization and inventory management. During the meeting, Adurihd Javier Valladolid Hernández, Founder&CEO,sharedinformationabout the company ' s growth and future plans. Kennya Vargas and Axl Silva from Ensenada EDC, as well as Arturo Herrera fromSEI,alsoparticipated.

COMPANY VISITS

May8—Metalforma

Together with SEI, we visited Metalforma, a company specializing in precision machining, laser cutting, and CNC processes. The company stands out for its focus on engineering and developing comprehensive solutions for various industrial sectors. During the tour, we learned more about their manufacturing capabilities, processes, and current projects with Gabriel Alcázar Thompson and Manuel Veloz Navarro. Axl Silva and JulioVillaescusaalsoparticipated.

May11—PolymersofEnsenada

We visited Polímeros de Ensenada, a company with 28 years of experience manufacturing plastic products for the agricultural sector. The company offers a wide range of solutions for the agricultural industry, contributing to the sector's efficiency and productivity. During the meeting, we learned more about their operations, capabilities, and growthintheregionfromAriadnaPatrón, Administration and Finance Manager. Axl Silva from Ensenada EDC also participated.

May20—BajaAquaFarms

As part of this agenda, we visited Baja Aqua Farms with the Ministry of Economy and Innovation to learn more about their aquaculture operations and bluefin tuna farming,astrategicindustryforEnsenada and Baja California. During the tour, we explored opportunities for collaboration and strengthening the regional supply chain. Miguel Coronado represented Ensenada EDC, and Arturo Herrera representedSEI.

ARIZONA BUSINESS AGENDA

On April 20, we participated in a binational strategic agenda alongside the State Government, led by the Ministry of Economy and Innovation and with the participation of GovernorMarinadelPilarÁvilaOlmeda,further strengtheningthetiesbetweenBajaCalifornia andArizona.

Over two days, we took part in institutional meetings, academic presentations, and visits to key companies throughout the region. The agendaincludedawelcomesessionwithstate authorities, working meetings and networking opportunities, as well as tours of innovation centersandcompaniesinthetechnologyand manufacturing sectors. In Mexicali, activities continued with industrial visits and a closing session focused on academic collaboration and workforce development through skills exchange.

Participating organizations included Arizona Commerce Authority, Arizona-Mexico Commission, The Chamber of Southern Arizona, University of Arizona Center for Innovation, Pima County Economic Development, City of Phoenix Community & Economic Development Department, Yuma CountyEconomicDevelopment,ArizonaBoard ofRegents,GreaterYumaPortAuthority,Cityof Yuma,andPimaCountyBoardofSupervisors

The agenda also featured participation from companies including ULTRASTRATECH, Ainsa Stainless Steel, MicroMex, DRG Technologies, Pilgrim Aerospace Fasteners, Insultech, BFS Manufacturing, Turbo Resources International, CUPPS Industrial Supply, and XMEK, Inc., fostering knowledge exchange and new businessopportunities.

This mission reaffirmed the value of crossborder collaboration and a shared vision in which industry, academia, and government work together to build a more competitive, innovative region that is well-positioned to attractstrategicinvestmentonaglobalscale.

CASA MEXICO - LOS ANGELES

On April 22nd, we attended the Casa México event, organized by the Consulate General of Mexico in Los Angeles in collaboration with the Consulate General of France. This gathering celebrated the connection between Mexico and France through their rich culture, gastronomy, and traditions.

On this occasion, we share space with Marco Carrillo, director of Proturismo, with whom we join efforts to position Ensenadaasastrategicdestinationfor bothtourismandbusiness.

During the event, we had the opportunitytogreetAdrienFrier,Consul General of France in Los Angeles, and Carlos González Gutiérrez, Consul General of Mexico in Los Angeles; as well as Claudia Agatón, Mayor of Ensenada, Alex Vargas, Mayor of Hawthorne, California, and Jared Gutiérrez, Director of International AffairsforEnsenada.

We appreciate the invitation to this important space for international meetingandcollaboration.

HannoverMesse2026

This event is one of the most important industrialgatheringsglobally,wheremorethan 3,000 exhibitors and industry leaders come together to present the technologies that are transforming manufacturing, from automation and digitalization to artificial intelligence and energysolutions.

Thisspacenotonlysetsthestandardforwhere theindustryisevolving,butalsobringstogether decision-makers, global companies, governments, and organizations that promote strategicprojectsataninternationallevel.

During our participation, we strengthen relationships and generate new opportunities for collaboration through connections with Germany, Canada, and Brazil, boosting global opportunities for Ensenada and reinforcing its positionwithininternationalvaluechains.

Sweets&SnacksExpo2026

From May 19 to 21, we attended Sweets & Snacks Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center, one of the most important events in North America for the confectionery, snacks, andfoodprocessingindustry.

During our participation we held meetings with various companies in the sector, generating new connections and exploring opportunities related to manufacturing, packaging, automation, ingredients and supply chains for thefoodindustry.

Ensenada continues to position itself as a hub forthefoodandbeverageindustrythankstoits productive ecosystem and regional capabilities. The city stands out for its renowned gastronomy, its wine industry, agricultural and fishing production, as well as its capacity for innovation and development within the food value chain. Furthermore, its strategic location and logistical connectivity strengthen opportunities for food processing and manufacturing projects focused on internationalmarkets.

NEWPORT TO ENSENADA REGATTA

On April 23, we participated in the preregatta dinner for the 78th edition of the Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race, a gathering that brings together authorities, leaders and participants within the framework of one of the most representative nautical traditions of the CaliBajaregion.

During the evening, we had the honor of receiving a commemorative pennant for the regatta, a symbol of the 78 years of connection between both cities, reinforcing the historical ties and binationalcollaboration.

The next day we continued with the agenda at Balboa Pier, witnessing the start of the race in Newport Beach, accompanying this iconic moment that marks the beginning of this journey towardsEnsenada.

These events were attended by Claudia Agatón, Mayor of Ensenada; Jared Gutiérrez, Director of International Affairs for Ensenada; Rosela Medina Lencioni, Director of the Riviera Cultural Center of Ensenada; as well as representatives fromtheNewportBeachCityCouncil.

We continue to strengthen ties that drive economic and tourism development and theinternationalprojectionofEnsenada.

BUSINESS LOUNGE

As part of the awards ceremony for the 78th Newport to Ensenada Yacht Race,weparticipatedinthisimportant binational meeting, creating a space for connection with the attendees in a professionalandfriendlyenvironment.

In collaboration with Proturismo de Ensenada, we installed a Business Lounge where we share information about the city's tourist attractions, as well as its strategic sectors, positioningEnsenadaasacompetitive destination for both tourism and investment.

These types of initiatives strengthen the relationship between both cities, highlighting the value of collaboration and the connection that unites us acrossthePacific.

AGENDA IN GERMANY

On April 28, we participated in “Mexico in a Changing Global Economy”, a strategic forum held in Stuttgart, Germany, and organized jointly by AHK Mexico, IHK Region Stuttgart and Lateinamerika Verein, which brought together key players to analyze Mexico's role in global value chains and investmentopportunitiesinsectorssuchas aerospace, automotive and medical technology.

The event featured the participation of leaders such as Francisco Quiroga, Ambassador of Mexico to Germany; Oliver Contla, from the Embassy of Mexico in Germany;AndreasMüller,fromAHKMexico; GarySwedback,CEOofNAIMexico;Thomas Wagner, founder of WMP Mexico Advisors; Günther Schmid, head of the foreign trade department of Baden-Württemberg; Rodolfo Andrade, Undersecretary of Economy and Innovation; and Adriana Eguia,presidentofDEITAC,amongothers

On April 29th we visited Toolcraft AG, a German company recognized as a leader in additive manufacturing technology, with a solid track record in advanced manufacturing environments such as the aerospace, automotive and semiconductor industries.

We had the opportunity to reconnect with ourfriendBerndKrebs,CEOandPresidentof thecompany,whocontinuestoshowgreat interest in getting involved with our city to develop future operations and expand its presence

BUSINESS ROUND TABLE ENSENADA - SURREY

On May 19, we participated in the EnsenadaSurrey Business Meeting, organized in conjunction with the Surrey & White Rock Board of Trade, with the objective of strengthening business collaboration betweenMexicoandCanada.

WeextendoursincerethankstotheSurrey& WhiteRockBoardofTradeforhostingusand to Joslyn Young, CEO of the organization, for the warm welcome and for making this important meeting possible, along with her team.Theirhospitalityandcommitmentwere key to creating a space for dialogue and collaborationbetweenourtworegions.

The agenda included presentations on the strategic opportunities that Ensenada offers for investment and business expansion in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, technology, logistics, agribusiness and specialized services, as well as networking andbusinessmatchmakingsessions.

The Ensenada delegation consisted of Ángel Albán from Zventus, Darién Miranda and América Mendoza from Nodeport, and Mario A. Peregrina from Maverick MCS, who participated in strategic meetings and businessnetworkingactivities.

Subsequently, Dustin Yerdon, from City of Surrey, led our delegation on a tour of Surrey CityHallandthelaboratoriesofSimonFraser University, where we learned more about the region's innovation ecosystem and potential opportunities for collaboration between industry,universitiesandresearchcenters.

AGENDA IN BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA

ConsulateofMexicoinVancouver

We began our agenda with a visit to the Mexican Consulate in Vancouver, where we werereceivedbyConsulGeneralJuliánAdem and Vice Consul Luis Gerardo Hernández. During the meeting, we discussed opportunities for collaboration and economic promotion between Baja California and Canada, as well as Ensenada's potential in sectors such as advanced manufacturing, logistics,andtechnology.

StrategicMeetingoftheITSector

We participated in a strategic IT sector meeting led by Inside View Global, alongside companies and technology leaders from Vancouver interested in strengthening collaboration with Mexico. The meeting addressed opportunities in specialized talent, technological development, and binational collaboration between Canadian and Mexicancompanies.

VisitSEAMORMarine

We concluded our agenda with a visit to SEAMORMarine,acompanyspecializinginthe development and manufacture of ROVs for research, defense, and aquaculture. During thetour,welearnedabouttheirtechnological capabilities and explored opportunities for collaboration with the maritime industry in BajaCalifornia.

This agenda represented an important opportunity to strengthen international relations and continue positioning Ensenada and Baja California as a strategic region for innovationandbusinessdevelopment

ENSENADA BUSINESS TOUR

On May 14 and 15, we received a prospect from the electronics and lighting sector from China, with whom we conducted an Ensenada Business Tour focused on showcasing the industrial, logistical and talent capabilities that our region offers for thedevelopmentofnewoperations.

During the first meeting, a business session on Doing Business in Mexico was held, addressing key topics such as shelter, logistics, trade, sourcing, legal aspects, and talent. Participants included José López of Grupo Logix; Alma López of TACNA; and Jaime Palafox of Palafox y Asociados, all membersofCOPREEN.

As part of the agenda, we visited variousindustrialparksandcompanies in the region, including Onni Industrial Park, Esmeralda Industrial Park (SIMSA), ALW (Architectural Lighting Works), Coast Manufacturing and Seat Covers, allowing us to present firsthand the manufacturing capabilities and industrialecosystemofEnsenada.

We thank all the companies and partners who welcomed us and shared information about their operations, contributing to strengthening the promotion of Ensenada as a strategic destination for investment and advancedmanufacturing.

CompanyVisit:Newmark

On April 24, we received a visit from Newmark, a global real estate consulting firm.

During the meeting, we presented an overview of the city's economic ecosystem, highlightingtheavailabilityofindustrialparks and expansion projects under development, aligned with the needs of companies and internationalcapital.

Newmark operates as a comprehensive platform connecting investors, corporations, and property owners through services such as Capital Markets, tenant representation, property management, and valuation, facilitatingstrategicdecisionsincommercial realestateonaglobalscale.

Informationalsession:Granby Connexion

On May 28, an information session and official invitation to the 5th edition of Granby Connexion International, an international business forum that connects opportunities between Canada, France and Mexico, was heldatCETYSUniversity

During the session, Mario A. Peregrina, President, and Kennya Vargas, Director of Ensenada EDC, offered a few words of welcome to the attendees, highlighting the importance of strengthening international collaboration ties and generating new opportunitiesfortheregion.

We thank Granby Industriel for this collaboration, as well as for this valuable informational breakfast shared with our business community. It was also an honor to have the presentation by Mr Éric Tessier, DevelopmentDirector,andMs.GloriaAmparo Brand, International Markets and Foreign Talent Advisor, who shared key information about the event and international collaborationopportunities.

Ensenada EDC welcomed the delegation from Granby Industriel, represented by Mr. ÉricTessier,DirectorofDevelopment,andMs. Gloria Amparo Brand, Advisor for International Markets and Foreign Talent, as part of a work agenda focused on strengthening collaborative ties between QuebecandEnsenada.

During their visit, the delegation toured the Zventus Center of Excellence, learning more aboutitsoperations,objectives,andsuccess storyinEnsenada.TheyalsometatBodegas de Santo Tomás with Jared Gutiérrez, Director of International Affairs for the Ensenada government, to explore opportunities for collaboration in business, culture,andeducation.

Theagendacontinuedwithbusinessvisitsto Architectural Lighting Works, Coast Manufacturing, Seat Covers and Metalforma, companiesthatreflectthe

Ensenada's industrial and manufacturing capacity and its contribution to the region's economicdevelopment.

During the tours, the delegation had the opportunity to learn firsthand about their operations, capabilities and projects, as well as exchange experiences about the city's businessandmanufacturingenvironment.
