AGROIN
On February 13, together with the Ministry of Economy, we visited AGROIN, a company dedicatedtotheuseandindustrializationof the Yucca Schidigera plant. On this visit we learned a little more about the company, its capabilitiesandfutureprospects.
We thank Eng. Sergio Loperena, Noe Maldonado and Ricardo Fernández for the welcome and attention they gave us. This meeting was attended by Kennya Vargas and Ushuaia Zepeda from Ensenada EDC and Enrique Rodríguez from Secretary of EconomyandInnovationofBajaCalifornia.

On February 20, we received Christopher Castañeda and Daniel Babajoni from Extraordinary Telemarketing Agency, Inc., to present them business information about Ensenada, as well as the nearshoring and contract manufacturing opportunities it offers. BAJA CALIFORNIA IS THE CAPITAL OF MEDICAL DEVICE MANUFACTURING IN AMERICA

MD&MWestisthelargestmedicaltechnology convention on the West Coast of the United States, held each year at the Anaheim ConventionCenterinAnaheim,California The event is organized by Informa Markets and attracts the most respected leaders in the medical technology industries, providing growthandeducationalopportunities.
On this occasion, Kennya Vargas Maldonado and Ushuaia Zepeda Romero attended, representing Ensenada EDC together with the ProBaja Trade&investment team on February 6and7.

We are proud to share that we are an integral part of Baja California's thriving medical industry. Both days were a success, we had the opportunity to talk with various companiesinthesector,presentingvaluable information about the manufacturing of medical devices in Ensenada, the innovative environment and how, together with the ProBaja Trade&investment team, we are positioning our city and Baja California as leadersinthemedicaldeviceindustry.

In addition, we have started the Diploma: Leaders of Economic Development, taught by CETYS University. For the organization, it is very important that each member of the team is highly trained and has a high level of knowledge about the economy, its development and importance. In this way it will be possible to be more efficient when promoting our municipality, making contacts between companies, attending to international delegations and more activities that govern the being of Ensenada EDC.

The Ensenada EDC team was invited to a training conducted by Juan Pablo Alcantar, member of the board of directors of the International Economic Development Council (Washington DC) about Investment Attraction: Key Factors, Trends and International Standards. This training was taken together with the Probaja Trade & Investment team. Togetherwecontinuetoupdateourselves to innovate alongside the economy and continue promoting our state internationally.

MEETING WITH THE STATE SECRETARY OF TOURISM
On February 23, Mario III Ruanova, President of Ensenada EDC, attended a meeting called by the CCEE attended by several business organizations from Ensenada and the Secretary of Tourism, Miguel Aguiñiga Rodríguez, in order to discuss the theme of the 2025 tourist market, whose headquarters is Baja California. We are interested in knowing more about participation in this event since the tourism sector is one of the most important in Ensenada.


EDUCATION EXPO 2024 OPENING EVENT
On March 6, Mario III Ruanova and Kennya Vargas, President and Director of Ensenada EDC, were present at the opening event of theEducationExpo2024.Thiseventhasthe objective of showing the educational offer to young people and guiding them regarding the productive sectors of the city so that they identify that type of careers and skills are required and this facilitates yourdecisionmaking.

As the last activity of the President of Ensenada EDC, Mario III Ruanova, was invited to participate in the Panel: "Innovation and progress: Economic and labortrendsforBajaCalifornia."
This is part of the Baja California Economic Vocations Promotion program. In this panel, Mario Ruanova shared his experience and knowledge about the economicsectorofEnsenada.
