//HARRYSTYLES// harry styles. if you have never heard of him before, you have been living under a rock for the last 7 years. in 2010 he auditioned for the x-factor in the uk. he didn’t get through on his own, but was put in a band with 4 other boys. louis. zayn, niall and liam were now his fellow one direction members. they never won the x-factor, but as sentimental fans like to point out, they won the world. when they dropped their first single “what makes you beautiful” they had immediate succes and 5 years later they had every right to say they were the biggest boyband on the planet at that time. i have never been ashamed to admit that i have been a fan from the very beginning. i even went to see them on tour in 2014 and 2015. it won’t come as a shock to you then when i tell you it broke my heart when zayn left. then my heart broke again when they decided to go on a hiatus. i never in the world would have thought that hiatus could also bring something positive: solo harry styles. he came out with “sign of the times” april 7th this year and i was immediately sold. may 12th was the day his full album dropped. i listened to the entire thing in the middle of the night and the day after it was on repeat. when harry announced he was gonna go on a tour with his album i knew i had to get tickets. they went on sale and i was one of the lucky few to get tickets to see him november 8th in afas live. the europe tour dates were sold out extremely fast. it get’s even better: the american leg of the tour was not sold out in minutes, but in seconds.

this all doesn’t explain why harry styles made it to have his own pages in this magazine though. it’s not all about his music, it’s also about harry himself. i love how i watched him grow from an insecure 16-year old boy to the confident 23-year old he is now. in my opinion harry is a great role-model for everyone. he is always kind and good-hearted. he even called a little girl from his hometown that got hurt in the recent manchester terrorist attack. he is always positive and knows how to spread those positive vibes to the people around him. i’m happy to be able to say harry is one of the biggest inspirations in my life right now. To be yourself is the most important thing, and if one knows how to spread that message, it’s harry styles. so am i patiently waiting until he gets here? ofcourse not. i can’t wait. november 8th, please come quicker.

//AUTHENTICITY// being authentic. being original. being yourself. it all comes down to the same thing. just be you. thatâ€™s why i chose the song am i wrong by nico and vinz. this song is all about not being afraid or ashamed to be yourself. the people portrayed on the right all have something society could judge them on, but they shouldnâ€™t let that hold them back.

on the left you see a guy in a pink bath with his necklace on his bare back. this guy is harry styles. and he came out with a vinyl this year. i had to buy it because, you know, it’s harry styles. Songs on it are: Meet Me in the Hallway, Sign of the Times, Carolina, Two Ghosts, Sweet Creature, Only Angel, Kiwi, Ever Since New York, Woman and From the Dining Table. my favourite songs from the album? i’d say meet me in the hallway, two ghosts, only angel and woman. But honestly, all are amazing. duh.

maybe you’ve heard of this little book filled with poetry. milk and honey by rupi kaur is one of those books that all of a sudden everyone has. which is why i decided i would test out the hype and buy it. i loved some of the poems in this book, that’s why it made my favourites page.

my favourite make-up product is this eyeshadow palette. it’s the naked palette by makeup revolution. it has matte colors and glittery colors. i use it all the time.

my favourite shirt has to be my justin bieber purpose tour shirt. i bought it when i went to his concert october 8th back in 2016. i love this shirt. it’s very soft.

//MOCKUP// in my mockup you can see i like simplicity. a simple logo, a simple colorscheme. The logo I created can be used with black or white letters and a pink or yellow line. not too much fuss. Keep it simple. they donâ€™t say less is more for nothing right?

the 1975 is a british rock band with 80’s pop and indie vibes. the band consists of matty healy, george daniel, adam hann and ross macdonald. the 1975 was formed in 2002. “i like it when you sleep for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it” was their latest album.

i discovered the 1975 probably around 2013/14. i was on youtube watching some videos when i saw “the 1975 - chocolate” pop up on the right side. interesting title and bandname. i clicked on it and fell in love. they had some more music out already so i downloaded their album on my spotify and started listening. i didn’t only fall in love with their music, but with the entire band. and not to be basic, but yes, the lead singer is my favourite. matty healy

next to being the lead singer, he is also the one that writes most of the lyrics. and that’s exactly what i fell in love with. the sometimes cryptical, beautiful and honest lyrics. what i’ve learned from matty is to never shut up when you have something important to say. he is always honest and is never afraid to share his opinion. even if that means going against what everyone else beliefs in. i went to see the 1975 in concert april 2016 and i am seeing them again june 19th in afas live. the show they create is a very unique one. matty often has a bottle of red wine next to him and a cigarette in between his fingers while performing. the lights they use are different with each song and the decor on stage looks amazing. the 1975 is my favourite band for a reason more than just one.

//KKHARRIS// i don’t think many people know who kaelynn “kk” harris is, so let me tell you. kaelynn harris is a dancer. born in los angeles, california and currently 21 years old. she dances in a group called 8 flavahz and they won america’s best dance crew. now i can’t say 8 flavahz is my favourite dance crew because i actually have two. royal family shares that first place with 8 flavahz. they’re based in new zealand and have millions of hits on youtube. but now, kaelynn harris. she is an inspiration to me when it comes to dance, obviously. i am a hiphop and dancehall dancer myself and think i can learn a lot from her. she has her own signature moves that got her a spot in a lot of music videos. i hope one day i’ll be as good as a dancer as she is.
