Last January, after a year, that was. I decided to look for colorful spaces to create interesting 360° still photos. My motivation for this was to develop a sense of hope for the new year through color.
The first two weeks’ photos were in a supermarket and a mall candy/flower kiosks. It was really the first time I lingered in its grocery. Taking my time to go around my usual aisle route and thinking about what I wanted to create. Guards were around, of course, but I managed to blend in and discretely position the camera for potential shots and being careful not to be too obvious as to draw unwanted attention from security.
Mid-month and after over a year at home, my family and I had our “stay-cation.” We decided on Dusit Thani D2, a relatively new hotel about two kilometers away from where we lived. Indeed a welcome relief and a change of environment. We, of course, still took precautions and made sure the hotel is following safety and health protocols. Two nights were enough to relax us.
