These sentences are simple past: ● I walked to the store. ● I ate hamburgers for lunch. ● I swam in the ocean. Time expressions are used with simple past to explain a specific time in the past - yesterday, last night, last year, ago. ● I walked to the store y esterday. ● I ate hamburgers for lunch last night. ● I swam in the ocean two years ago.
