Like almost all my friends in Croatia, I spend my spare time playing sport. The most popular sport in my country is football, but I’m not very interested in playing or watching football! My favourite thing to do is to go running. I go for a run seven days a week. I like listening to music when I’m running too. Sometimes I run alone and sometimes I go with friends so we can chat at the same time. It helps me to relax and makes me feel good too.

The start of the journey was good. My mum was driving and my sister, my brother and I were talking and listening to music. After about an hour, there was a very loud noise. Mum stopped the car, but then it wouldn’t start again. We got out of the car and my mum wanted to call my uncle to help, but she couldn’t find her phone. It was in the bag with all our food and drinks for the journey, but the bag wasn’t in the car – it was still in the kitchen! We decided to look for a petrol station, so we started walking. The Bankton Comedy Festival is coming!

Next weekend the Bankton Comedy Festival is back for the fifth year and it is bigger and better than ever before! There are shows in three theatres around the town every afternoon and evening from Friday to Sunday, as well as a large concert in Avermore Park after lunch on Saturday.

As well as the comedy festival, there is a small food festival in the park selling food from around the world and an exhibition of local artists in the town hall. For more information about all the shows and to book your tickets, look at our website now. You can also buy tickets from the town hall.

Also, our famous circus tent is back! It will be next to Avermore Park and there will be entertainment for the whole festival. It’s the best place for children – there are shows for them on Saturday and Sunday morning. Do you want to try comedy?
