A Tradition From Christmas Past Returns BY ANN MEAD ASH
Last year, Lititz Historical Foundation members modified the Christmas Candlelight Tour in hopes of holding the event in accordance with COVID-19 restrictions. Unfortunately, circumstances caused the tours to be canceled. For 2021, the Christmas Candlelight Tour, which has long been a tradition at the foundation, will be held on Friday, Dec. 10, beginning at 5 p.m. Tours, which will take place every 20 minutes, will be limited to eight persons. The final tour will begin at 8:20 p.m. Groups will meet at the Lititz Museum and Gift Shop, located at 137 E. Main St., Lititz,

Celebrate The Season With Lititz “Lititz would not be Lititz without the downtown merchants,” said Rebecca Branle, executive director of Venture Lititz. “They are the heartbeat of our community and the center of our town.” Small Business Saturday will be held on Nov. 27, and Lititz welcomes shoppers to celebrate locally. Branle said that although the merchants of Lititz really kicked off the holiday season on Nov. 12 when the monthly Second Friday event was held, the busy shopping day following Black Friday is a special day in town. “Our merchants focus purely on helping customers,” said Branle. “They will be decked out in
unique gift, and she listed several places where beautiful sweaters may be purchased. In addition to distinctive gifts, Branle noted that a visit to Lititz can provide a special experience. Stores, restaurants, and picturesque sights offer a memorable day. “At some moment, you will look at something and take a deep breath and absorb the beauty,” she said. “It could be a display in a store, the architecture of our buildings and shops, or it could be Lititz Springs Park. There’s that aspect of shopping in downtown Lititz that feels like you’re giving yourself a treat.” More information about Lititz events may be found at https://lititz pa.com/event-calendar.
