Park Will Host Bark For Life

With the exception of a few laps walked by Keystone Pet Enhanced Therapy Services (KPETS) canines, dogs are not allowed to take part in Relay For Life events. But some Relay For Life team members wanted to hold an event where dogs could be featured.

“Relay For Life (fundraisers are typically held) at a high school, and you can’t take your dog,” lamented Angie Woolf, a member of the Misfit Bankers team. “But more often than not, a dog is someone’s caregiver. (Dogs) comfort you whether you have a cold or cancer.”

To celebrate the important bond between humans and pets, especially during illness, Woolf has organized American Cancer Society Bark For Life events for the past several years. The 2018 Bark For Life of Lancaster will take place on Saturday, Oct. 6, from

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Manheim Township Park, 209 Petersburg Road, Neffsville.

The event honors the lifelong contributions of canines to cancer survivors.

Bark For Life came to Lancaster six years ago when the Captain Morgan Relay For Life team held the first event.

When the Relay For Life Leadership Team took charge of the event, other Relay For Life teams began to participate. Bark For Life supports the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Lancaster. Funds raised through the events helps support the American Cancer Society’s mission to save lives by funding research, supporting education efforts, and providing free information and critical services for cancer patients.

“My (Relay For Life) team is the Misfit Bankers,” explained Woolf. “But for Bark For Life, we are the Misfit Barkers.”

When organizers of the Friendship Community 2018 fall banquet were searching for a keynote speaker, one staff member remembered that a friend of hers had heard “Chewbacca Mom” speak. “(The friend had) said, ‘This person is great, and she has a great message,’” recalled Kyle Gamble, marketing assistant at Friendship Community. “We were looking for someone to bring laughter and joy with a faith background,” added Gamble, noting, “This is a speaker (who) will be different from those we have had in the past.”

LMS sports games that will be held at the school that evening will include a girls’ field hockey game against Octorara High School at 5:30 p.m. and a boys’ soccer game against Cocalico High School at 7:30 p.m.

A hymn sing will be held in the school’s Fine Arts Center beginning at 7 p.m. Two Alumni of the Year will be announced during that event.

On Oct. 6, the LMS FFA will hold a pancake breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. The breakfast is traditionally held at the same time as the annual Iron Bridge Run, a 5K trail run/walk. Registered runners may eat breakfast for free, and breakfasts will be available for purchase for non-runners.

Registration for the run will begin at 7:45 a.m., and the run

will start at 9 a.m. A free halfmile Kids’ Fun Run for children age 12 and under will be held as well. Prizes will be given to the top three male and female 5K winners in seven age groups.

“People love that this trail is wooded and scenic,” said Kreider, who added that she hopes for a brisk fall morning for runners and walkers.

The Oct. 6 festivities will conclude with the annual benefit auction at 6:30 p.m. The event will begin with appetizers and a silent auction. A live auction will be held following dessert at 7:45 p.m.

According to Kreider, the goal of the evening is to support students through scholarship funds while having fun. She added that one auction item will be a goat yoga class. Other auction items

will include tickets to a Barnstormers game, a party with a local ice cream business that will include a visit from the cow mascot, a week at a bay house, and a flight lesson, among others. “The whole weekend is about making tuition affordable for families,” said Kreider.

One segment of the event that aims to give bidders an opportunity to sponsor students is the “Cookie Kids” auction. During this time, students share testimonies about their experiences at LMS, leading up to the auctioning of gingerbread men.

The Manheim Community Farm Show lovingly known to many as the best week of the year - is quickly approaching, and area farmers, businesses, organizations, and residents are gearing up and working together to make the 65th annual event a success. The 2018 Farm Show is set for Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, and the parade will step off at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Parking and admission are free.

A tractor and wagon driven by Manheim Young Farmers member Galen Kopp will be at the very end of the Farm Show parade lineup on Oct. 10 to collect nonperishable food items for the Manheim Central Food Pantry. The annual food drive has been sponsored by the Manheim Young Farmers since 2005.

Individuals of all ages may donate canned goods during the parade or drop them off at the shopping cart that will be designated for donations at the Manheim Children’s Farm Show exhibit area during Farm Show week. Items needed for the food pantry include peanut butter, kidney beans, baked beans, soup, canned fruits and vegetables, canned chicken, strawberry jelly, crackers, applesauce, cereal, toilet paper, and paper towels.

As is tradition, students in the Manheim Central High School (MCHS) FFA will walk in the parade with members of the Manheim Young Farmers to help collect donations from people along the parade route. “We appreciate being a part of it because it’s a way to give back to the community, and there’s a lot of need,” remarked MCHS FFA

president Josiah Heisey.

As part of ag-in-the-classroom education, paper bags are sent home the week before the parade with third-graders in the Manheim Central School District, along with a note explaining the details of the food drive and encouraging residents to donate. Bags will also be distributed to families at Manheim Christian Day School.

The Manheim Central Food Pantry, located at 334 W. Gramby St., currently serves approximately 114 households, according to Central Pennsylvania Food Bank statistics. Registered clients receive food and personal care items once a month, based on family size. To be eligible for the food pantry’s services, individuals must reside in the Manheim Central School District. Potential clients may call 717-665-2331 to inquire about eligibility.

Jim Hershey, who serves on the food pantry steering committee, expressed gratitude on behalf of the pantry’s volunteers and clients for the donations from the annual food drive, as well as the donations of meat from individuals and businesses that purchase animals at the Farm Show livestock sale.

According to https://manheimfarm show.org, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and the Manheim Central Food Pantry received more than 2,000 pounds of meat donations through purchases made at the youth livestock sale in 2017.

This generous practice has become a tradition among buyers at the Manheim Farm Show over the years. This year’s

livestock auction is set to begin at 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 12.

Area residents are also invited to support the Farm Show at its 16th annual benefit auction at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11. Items that will be up for bids will be on display inside Building One during the Farm Show leading up to the auction.

wood carvings by Dennis Beach, dated Farm Show crockery, farm toys, artwork, crafts, and more. Sports memorabilia autographed by MCHS alumnus and Chicago Bears head coach Matt Nagy, as well as items signed by Philadelphia Eagles players Carson Wentz, Nick Foles, and Alshon Jeffery, are also set to cross the auction block.

Payne, who is a Christian and an Ouachita Baptist University alumna, began making the rounds on television shows, and she began speaking about the subject of simple joys. “(Payne) focuses on the simple joys in life, how to achieve them and what she does to bring about simple joys,” said Gamble. “(Her speech is) about appreciating all the moments in life.” Payne also began writing about her experience, and she is now the author of two books: “Laugh It Up” and the recently released “Simple Joys.” She is also the creator of the small group curriculum “Defiant Joy” study guide.

In addition to the keynote speaker, Friendship will present two annual awards at the banquet.

The Haverstick Award will be given to a Friendship client who has shown growth in giving back to the community, overcoming significant obstacles, and surpassed previous capabilities. The Gochnauer Award will be given to a direct support professional who has advocated for community inclusion to help individuals impact the world with their capabilities.

Milt Stoltzfus, who serves as spiritual nurturer and community life coordinator, will work

with Friendship clients at the banquet to share stories of their experiences at Friendship.

On the menu for dinner will be hickory-smoked ham, stuffed chicken breast with gravy, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots, and green beans. The meal will begin with a salad and bread bar, and iced tea and coffee will be served. Dinner will conclude with a full dessert bar featuring an assortment of sweet and sugar-free treats.

The mission of Friendship Community, which is located at 1149 E. Oregon Road, Lititz, is to help individuals with disabilities impact the world with their abilities. To that end, the organization serves 120 clients in 24 group homes. Friendship offers two day programs, home-based services, and an apartment complex in Ephrata.

Schreiber Pediatric held its 30th annual Rubber Duckie Race and Festival on Sept. 9. The event raised more than $115,000, which will go directly to support Schreiber’s array of therapy and educational services.

This year’s Duckie Day at Lancaster County Central Park was curtailed because of heavy rain.

Schreiber still managed a successful Duckie campaign because of higher-than-expected Duckie ticket sales and generous sponsorship support. Day-of sales fell short of the average total of $10,000 because of the weather, but supporters have helped erase that shortfall by making contributions after the event. The largest post-race gift came from Orrstown Bank, which had originally sponsored the event and sold tickets in its Lancaster County branches. Orrstown Bank contributed an additional $15,000. Donations can still be made via check or at www.schreiberpediatric.org/donate.

As a flight attendant, public speaker, and travel consultant, Mortimer has traveled throughout the United States and the world.

In the late 1970s, she became a news reporter and on-air personality for a television station.

In 1986, she began to broaden her interest to include travel documentaries. She served as president of the International Motion Picture and Lecturers Association and received the Rising Star Award and the Hall of Fame Award from the Professional Travelogue Sponsors Association.

She has also received a Silver Telly, honoring non-network television programs and commercials as well as non-broadcast

video and film productions. Her films have been shown on television and are also available on DVDs in schools and libraries.

General admission tickets will be sold at the door, with separate costs for adults and for students.

Light The Night Event Slated

Reflections on Our Holy Holidays

Light the Night Lancaster and York will take place rain or shine on Friday, Oct. 5, at John Wright Restaurant, 234 N. Front St., Wrightsville. Registration will open at 5 p.m., and the opening ceremony will begin at dusk. The event will take place from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.

Light the Night takes place in 150 communities across the country. Family, friends, and co-workers gather together to celebrate, honor, and remember those touched by cancer. All participants carry illuminated lanterns in one of three colors: red lanterns are carried by supporters, white lanterns are carried by survivors, and gold lanterns are carried by those walking in memory of a loved one. Participants walk as individuals or as teams and corporations can get involved as a team or a sponsor.

The walk route for the Lancaster and York event will be approximately 2 miles across the Veterans Memorial Bridge (Route 462)

I was always fascinated by the relationship between our (Hebrew) people and the eternal Creator of heaven and earth.

When we as a people were obedient to our Creator’s mandates for our lives everything went well. Whenever we decided to go our own way we suffered tribulation. It seemed that we as His chosen people were always screwing up.

I realize that it is because of the love of the Lord, shown to us since we were separated as a people, that the nations of the world in their jealousy persecuted us. I have made an exhaustive study of the Feast days in an effort to find our creator’s heart toward us. You must read this book. It examines the Levitical feasts and the effect our Creator intended them to have on ancient Israel, and the effect He wanted them to have on us, and all the world.

Book Discussion Group To Meet Exploring, Growing Together, a book discussion group at Lititz United Methodist Church, 201 E. Market St., Lititz, will continue its 2018-19 series, which aims to help people explore beliefs in a safe discussion environment.

There is a minimum per-dog registration fee to take part in Bark For Life. Owners registering

The second presentation of the Rotary Club of Lititz’s 2018-19 Travel and Adventure Series will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, at the Warwick High School Performing Arts Center, 301 W. Orange St., Lititz. There will be two performances: at matinee at 2 p.m., with a musical prelude starting at 1:30 p.m., and an evening showing at 7:30 p.m., with a musical prelude starting at 7 p.m.

The program, “Yellowstone Trails and Tails,” will be presented by Sandy Mortimer. It captures scenes of otters, coyotes, wolves, bears, moose, fox, mountain sheep, and elk, all filmed in the wilds of Yellowstone National Park across all seasons. Wheeler To Perform In Benefit Concert Matt Wheeler and his band, Vintage Heart, will perform in a benefit concert at Neffsville Mennonite Church, 2371 Lititz Pike, Lancaster, on Thursday, Oct. 4. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., and the concert will take place from 7 p.m. to approximately 8:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

Proceeds will benefit the Bezalel School in San Juan Chamelco, Guatemala. Bezalel is a school dedicated to providing a Mennonite-oriented junior high and high school education to the Kekchi Indian community in North Central Guatemala. It was established by the Kekchi Mennonite Church almost 20

The historic Ephrata Cloister, 632 W. Main St., Ephrata, will present its annual Day of Music on Sunday, Oct. 7. The Ephrata Cloister Chorus, under the direction of Martin Hinkley, will present three mini concerts promptly at 2 p.m., 3 p.m., and 4 p.m. in the Saal, a fivestory structure built in 1741. The program will include music composed at the historic community in the 1700s, along with works from other early American communities.

The volunteer group is currently rehearsing a new transcription of a hymn written at Ephrata in the 1740s. While all 92 verses of the composition will not be presented at the Day of Music, there may be a sampling of a few portions.

Mystery STEM Bags Available Giving Tree To Aid Disaster Relief The Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz, will offer free after-school Mystery STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Bags for children ages 5 to 9. The kits are part of a take-home, self-driven program to help children improve their STEM skills. There will be a new Mystery STEM Bag each week for eight weeks and bags will be available while supplies last.

Each bag will include a card outlining a problem to be solved using STEM skills and a selection of ordinary objects and supplies

that children can use to create a solution to the problem. Parents may take a picture of their child’s creation to share on the library’s social media pages (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter @LititzLib).

Program To Focus On Civil War Medicine The Lancaster Civil War Roundtable will meet on Thursday, Oct. 11, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lititz Public Library, 651 Kissel Hill Road, Lititz. Jake Wynn will present “True Horror Stories of the Civil War,� exploring medical treatment during the Civil War. Wynn is currently the director of interpretation at the National Museum of Civil War Medicine and Clara Barton Missing Soldiers Office. He is a 2015 graduate of Hood College with degrees in

He has formerly worked with Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania National Military Park, the Tourism Council of Frederick County, and the Heart of the Civil War Heritage Area. Just how many hours go into maintenance and upkeep for the layout and garden is tough to say, but the entire project is a labor of love for Stellar.

Railroading is in his blood and has been a part of his life since he was a child. “As a kid, my parents would take me to the Reading Railroad in the stroller, and it was something that just stayed with me,� he recalled. Stellar’s grandfather worked as a tower operator at the Reading Railroad, where several of his uncles established careers as well. When Stellar reached the ripe old age of 2, his father presented him with a Lionel train set that was his first foray into what has become a lifelong model railroading hobby. “It was something that was instilled in me, and I just had this ambition,� said Stellar.

Stellar’s garden railway will be one of 10 stops on the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania’s 12th annual Garden Railways Tour on Sunday, Oct. 7. The self-guided, family-friendly tour will be open from 1 to 5 p.m., with tour sites in Manheim, Lititz, Lancaster, Wrightsville, and Coatesville.

Instead of starting small and gradually adding on, he opted to go big from the start. “At my age, I knew what I wanted to do and knew that it’d be a one-and-done thing,� said Stellar.

The approximately 30-by-70yard layout features a doubletrack railway with G-scale trains and a multitude of buildings nestled among eye-catching gardens.

For the buildings - which include a train station, a power plant, a coal mine, a church, houses, barns, and more - Stellar worked from kits or modified birdhouses that fit his vision. Antique vehicles dot the roadways, and last summer Stellar added a small pond and babbling waterfall. Battery-powered trains travel along tracks that swirl throughout the yard at several levels of elevation, disappearing from time to time under tunnels or the deck before reappearing to cross bridges and trestles all handbuilt by Stellar. “It’s all one continuous loop, and I can run three trains at a time,� Stellar noted. The tracks also lead through a small doorway into the garage, where they

MERCHANDISER - Warwick Edition week, losing 2-1 to Cedar Crest and 1-0 to Penn Manor before getting the best of Lampeter-Strasburg 3-1. It has been a long season for Warwick (1-3-2, 3-6-2) as the girls have struggled to get wins and were in fifth place in Section One at the end of last week.

It was almost two wins for the lady Warriors as they went into double overtime against Cedar Crest last Monday. Warwick trailed 1-0 after the first half, but Jess Williamson’s goal that knotted the score in the 51st minute held over 45 minutes until Daniele Hess scored the game winner in the fourth minute of the second overtime period.

Kendall Morgan stopped two of four Falcon shots on the night while Courtney Wysolowski turned away four of five Warwick attempts.

Facing off against Penn Manor on Thursday, the girls used a tight defense which held the Comets to only three shots on goal while their offense fired off 11. Despite the disparity, however, it was Penn Manor’s Isabelle Barton that scored the lone goal in the 78th minute while Miriam Badri tallied 11 saves and Morgan recorded two.

Ryan Bernard scored in the 72nd minute for Cedar Crest last Monday to pull within one with the score 2-1 but the Warwick defense finished what it started by shutting the Falcons down for final seven minutes of play. In a game that was evenly played, both sides managed five shots while the Falcons earned five corners to Warwick’s four.

Robbie Heckman scored in the ninth minute of the first half and Ash Deery in the ninth minute of the second for all the offense Warwick needed. Meanwhile, in goal Drew Stief turned away four Falcon shots.

Holding onto a slim 1-0 lead over Penn Manor at halftime after Jay Destinoble netted a shot in the 29th minute of the game, Warwick came out and scored three in the second half while stifling the Comets offense.

Stief held Penn Manor to only one goal when Hunter Enck made it 3-1 in the 74th minute, but turned away four on the night.

Deery quickly found success in the 41st minute for the 2-0 lead and Evan Troop extended it with his goal in the 54th. Following Enck’s score, Deery tallied his second score in the 76th minute for some added insurance.

With both sides scoring three times in the second half in Saturday’s contest with Reading, it was Heckman’s two goals in the fourth and 12th minutes along with Garrett Nissley’s score in the 20th that proved the difference in the game. Offensively the Warriors doubled up Reading on shots 16-8 but gave way in corners 10-4.

Holding on to a 3-1 lead to start the second half, Deery scored twice and Destinoble added another in the 68th minute for the win after Reading narrowed the score to 5-4.

TENNIS Playing two matches last week, Warwick first struggled against Hempfield last Monday at home as the Black Knights earned a 7-0 victory, and then rebounded with a 4-1 win over Elizabethtown on Wednesday. Only dropping one singles match, the lady Warriors swept doubles play as Chloe Long and Jania Weist defeated Mia Giordano and Anna Bert 8-6 and Selena Ort and Erin Fleurant beat Kay Hackenberg and Araya Fahnestock 8-2. In singles it was Kaelan Miller defeating Tori Pollock 6-2, 7-6, (4) and Marino defeating Lauren Masser 6-1, 6-1.

FOOTBALL With the amount of yardage put up Friday night, 415 total yards for Cedar Crest and 387 for Warwick, the score was a little lopsided at 58-17 but that was just fine for Warwick as it was tilted in the Warrior’s favor. Nick Fucci carried the ball 15 times for 101 yards and two touchdowns while Hayden Rucci had four receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Warriors.

Both factored in early as Rucci caught a 30-yard pass from quarterback Adam Ricketts (10-14, 168 yards, 2TD) to put the Warriors ahead 7-0 and Fucci took a Ricketts hand off 46 yards to the house to make it 14-7 in answer to the Falcon’s first score of the game which tied things at 7-7.

But it was Fucci’s two fourth down conversions on Warwick’s next scoring drive that set him up for his second score of the night when he plunge into the end zone from the Falcon’s one-yard line early in the second quarter for the 21-7 lead.

Two notable musicians will be featured during the 33rd annual Apple Festival hosted by Boehm’s Chapel Society. The event will be held on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the campus of Boehm’s United Methodist Church (UMC), 13 W. Boehm’s Road, Willow Street.

Vocalist Katie Wieand of Strasburg and woodwind specialist Tim Price of Reading will perform with Gracenotes, a 20-piece jazz band from Grace Community Church (GCC) of Willow Street. The group was formed by Darin Esterly, the music and arts coordinator at GCC, who plays saxophone in the band. Parking and shuttle service will be available for free on both sides of the bridge, which spans the Susquehanna River and connects Columbia and Wrightsville via Route 462. Visitors can hop on a shuttle at Glatfelter Field, located at Route 462 and 12th Street in

Columbia, or at Eastern York High School, 720 Cool Creek Road, Wrightsville. Shuttles will be available to transport patrons who wish to only walk the bridge in one direction as well. LancasterHistory.org, 230 N. President Ave., Lancaster, will host a World War II Encampment on Saturday, Oct. 6, and Sunday, Oct. 7. The weekend will feature opportunities for visitors to talk with re-enactors, “Thank a Vet,” attend a period appropriate church service, and go swing dancing at a big USO dance, among many other activities throughout the weekend.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors can walk the grounds of the Campus of History to view various educational World War II displays, talk with knowledgeable re-enactors, see what life was like at home during the 1940s in the “Homefront” trailer, and view vintage vehicles. A “Thank a Vet” letter writing station will also be available throughout the weekend. Children are invited to write a letter to a veteran thanking them for their service. Supplies will be provided for free.

The Susquehanna Valley Chamber of Commerce (SVCC) will present the 30th annual Bridge Bust on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nearly 300 vendors will offer antiques, art, crafts, food, and one-of-a-kind items for purchase at the popular community event.

Area residents are invited to stroll and browse the selection of wares that will fill the Veterans Memorial Bridge between Columbia and Wrightsville. The 1.25mile bridge will be closed to vehicular traffic during the event. Separate nominal admission prices have been set for adults and for children ages 2 to 11. Children under age 2 will be admitted for free.

Pets will not be permitted on the bridge during the event.

Landis Communities has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Friends Life Care to launch a Continuing Care at Home (CCaH) program in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. The arrangement will allow both organizations to expand their missions through the Friends Life Care service and senior care. The new offering is a membershipbased program designed to help people remain in their home as they age. The service may be utilized for care at home if needed and even for residence-based care as needs may evolve. The program, slated to be launched in October, is intended to give older adults another option to remain living where they choose for as long as possible.

Landis Communities and Friends Life Care will begin holding informational seminars in October. The seminars will provide detailed information regarding membership in the CCaH program. Online webinars will also be made available.

11th Annual Cruise Held United Zion Retirement Community’s (UZRC) 11th annual Car and Motorcycle Cruise took place on Aug. 29 at the Pod 2 at Rock Lititz parking lot. Cars, trucks, and motorcycles were on-site. Food trucks offered french fries, grilled cheese, ice cream, and baked goods. Disc jockey Kenny Rose provided entertainment.

Paper awards and plaques were given to winners chosen by local celebrity judges, including Lancaster County commissioner Dennis Stuckey, Lititz mayor Tim Snyder, Matt McGarvey of an auto service center, UZRC board chair Jess Musser, UZRC CEO Sue Verdegem, and Lititz Historical Society member Cory Van Brookhoven.

DSAA recently celebrated one year in its current offices, and Emminger said the organization is looking for an even larger space to facilitate events it hosts, such as family support groups and educational trainings. This fall, DSAA will be adding a Self-Management and Recovery Training (SMART) meeting to its list of supportive approaches to addiction services.

As Donegal Substance Abuse Alliance (DSAA) chairman Stacy Emminger and assistant director Lexi Mercado brainstormed ideas and researched potential options for speakers at the organization’s upcoming fundraising dinner, they hoped to find someone from outside the local area whom people had not heard from before. When someone suggested Brandon Novak, a well-known skateboarder and MTV celebrity with a powerful testimony and commitment to the recovery community, Emminger immediately began pursuing the possibility and was thrilled when he agreed to travel to Mount Joy to share his story.

Novak will speak at the DSAA Sober Spooktacular, which is set to take place from 4:30 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13, at The Gathering Place, 6 Pine St., Mount Joy. The public is invited to attend and enjoy an evening of spookythemed festivities. “Part of our goal is to raise awareness, and we also wanted to make it fun so that’s why we went with Halloween,” Emminger noted. Costumes are optional but certainly welcome. “We will be dressing up, so we hope everyone else will too,” said Emminger.

The Sober Spooktacular will kick off with a social hour from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Live music will be performed by Memory Laps(e), a southcentral Pennsylvania-based band that specializes in psychedelic party music, playing both covers and original songs. A photo booth will be on hand, and ghoulish games are also planned.

A silent auction will offer a variety of items and experiences for folks to browse and bid on throughout the evening, including designer purses, a lithograph print autographed by Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown, gift cards, themed baskets, and more. Winners will be announced at the close of the evening.

At 6 p.m., a buffet-style dinner complete with beef, chicken, vegetarian, and gluten-free entrée options will be served, followed by a dessert buffet.

Novak will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Born in Baltimore, Novak is known for being a professional skateboarder with the renowned Powell-Peralta team. He appeared in several popular MTV films as well as the television shows “Viva La Bam” and “Bam’s Unholy Union” starring Bam Margera. In 2008, Novak and co-author Joseph Frantz published “Dreamseller,” a book based on Novak’s
