For those who do not wish to dress in tropical attire, DeKarske suggested “business casual cocktail” attire. DeKarske added that the décor inside the venue will include sets that are designed to make the area resemble a courtyard. Activities and games at the event will be inspired by the culture of Cuba. The Patriotic Stitchers for Veterans do not meet on a regular basis. The two women who oversee the program, Jean Summers and Kathy Baker, coordinate picking up quilts and afghans from members and then see that the comforters are delivered to one of four area hospice centers to be distributed to veterans. However, on a summer morning, 14 members of the group gathered at Our Lady of Lourdes in New Holland to get better acquainted and discuss a possible future fundraiser that is being planned with the Upper Leacock Township War Memorial Association (ULTWMA), See Patriotic Stitchers pg 2
