Southern York County Business Association - 2015- 3
SYCBA AND YOU If you are based in Southern York County – or do business here – we would like to extend an invitation. The Southern York County Business Association is a local non-profit dedicated to helping businesses survive and thrive — regardless of how large you’ve become or how long you’ve been in operation. For those with aspirations to launch a long-held dream, you’ll find yourself in good company with those who’ve already made – or are contemplating - that transition. SYCBA members range from sole proprietors to decision makers within the corporate sector; some provide services and others goods. And while we all have different dreams and different goals, we also all share a common vision of doing well at what we do. The Southern York County Business Association is dedicated to bringing local businesses together to help them accomplish their individual goals. We know that each has their own unique needs – as well as contributions. And, as a collective unit, the SYCBA helps build business visibility, power community enhancement projects and provide an opportunity to build connections as well as community. The SYCBA meets monthly and provides an informal forum where members can meet and mingle, enjoy casual lunches and listen to educational speakers who are both inspirational and informative. These venues provide opportunities to network as well as to become active participants in activities and events that benefit local non-profits. Our community fundraising events – which benefit many local non profit organizations - have helped define SYCBA and provide a fun way for members to mix business and pleasure, enterprise and volunteerism. We encourage all members to participate in at least one activity or outreach each year. In the meantime, Southern York County is a favorite locale with great opportunity. We again invite you to attend our next meeting, held the second Tuesday of each month at 11:30 a.m., or to visit us online to learn more. SYCBA Benefits for Members • Your company listed in the SYCBA Annual Directory distributed to 10,000 residences in southern York County • Monthly networking meetings, including speakers and training on current business issues. • Opportunities to participate in non-profit fundraising events for the community • SYC Biz-Ed Program with Southern York Schools - providing students with real life opportunities by working with our members on actual business projects • Annual Scholarship for a Susquehannock High School student • Opportunities to develop in-depth connections with fellow members by working on committees or serving on the board or as an officer • Your company listed on our sycba.com web site, with opportunities to be featured. Should you have any questions contact Nate Tile, membership coordinator at ntile@yorkrevolution.com
