Notable changes to the church include the newly exposed balcony, the restored ceiling with gold leaf details, antique German stained glass windows, two fieldstone additions on either side of the bell tower, and the wooden pews circa 1914. The tour will consist of 12 different homes located in Willow Street, Holtwood, Quarryville, Pequea, Peach Bottom, and Drumore. Among them are two Amish gardens, a lawn with 350 roses, water features, and more. “This is a great opportunity for people to have fun and enjoy the day,” stated Cindy Derr, member of CLPC. “As a congregation, we open the church to people, and now we’re opening homes and gardens to them.” See Garden Tour pg 7

Promoting Faith-Based Creativity

INSIDE THIS ISSUE

“Summer Art Surprise!” grab bags will contain a clothespin dragonfly project.

Incorporated in Lancaster County, Poiema Visual Arts (PVA) is a Pennsylvania-based network infrastructure facilitating discipleship, education, and community for Christian visual artists. Currently, PVA is operating out of several home offices until it establishes a main office. In the fall of 2019, a handful of creative individuals met on the campus of Lancaster Bible College to hear the personal story and vision of Jeremy Miller, founder and CEO of PVA. Miller shared how questions regarding faith and art over the last 20 years had led him to dream about a network of Christian visual artists. In September 2020, PVA appointed its first board of directors to help lead and steward the organization. Efforts to procure nonprofit status are currently in progress, and the formation of Miller’s dream continues.
