Christmas In Paradise Planned By Ann Mead Ash
A variety of activities will help to kick off the holiday season in Paradise on Saturday, Dec. 7. The Paradise Township Lions Club will hold its annual Christmas Market in the Together Community Center. Leacock Presbyterian Church has scheduled Trees, Treats ’n’ Treasures. The Paradise Leaman Place Fire Company will hold a vendor fair, and the Paradise Township tree lighting ceremony will be held at the township building. The Christmas Market will be held at the community center, 3293 Lincoln Highway East, Paradise, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. More than 30 vendors selling items including original art, photographs, candles, handmade soap, and crafts will fill the gymnasium, along with representatives of Mary Kay, Thirty-One Bags, Tupperware, and Scentsy. Sing For The Moment Choir Schedules Concert By Ann Mead Ash
Representatives of a number of Paradise organizations have joined together for Christmas in Paradise on Dec. 7. The Paradise Township Lions Club, Leacock Presbyterian Church, and Paradise Leaman Place Fire Company will all host activities during the day. In the evening, the community Christmas tree will be lit at the Paradise Township Building.
Working together with Candy Yingling at the Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter, Faith Hoover, director of Adult Day Services and coordinator of the Memory Loss Support Group at Landis Homes, devised a way for area Alzheimer’s patients who have an interest in singing to rehearse together and present two yearly concerts at Landis Homes. Hoover asked Clair Leaman, conductor of the “Messiah” Sing-Alongs at Westminster Presbyterian in Lancaster and in Chester County, to work with the group, and Sing for the Moment held its first holiday concert in December 2018.
